Abstract

The Community Engagement Program aims to provide financial literacy and assistance in business transaction record-keeping to members of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Cinere Subdistrict. A participatory approach is employed to encourage participants' engagement in understanding digital financial services and banking, as well as effectively managing business transactions. The activities involve 27 SME members, the outreach team, and Bank Syariah Indonesia Branch of Fatmawati. Financial literacy is conducted through pre-test and post-test assessments to measure knowledge enhancement. From the pre-test, some participants already have bank accounts and e-wallets, although comprehension of digital services still varies. Post-test results indicate a significant improvement, reaching 100% understanding of digital services and the importance of safeguarding personal data. Business transaction record-keeping assistance is conducted using Excel format and a manual approach, aiding participants in better managing their businesses. Results demonstrate enhanced administrative skills and transaction management. Additionally, the socialization of KUR (Kredit Usaha Rakyat) provides a safer funding option for SMEs. Recommendations for the future encompass strengthened collaboration with financial institutions, continuous mentoring, more in-depth impact assessment, and group learning. This program has the potential to fortify the SME sector, enhance financial literacy, and support community economic growth in the dynamic era of technology and economics. By actively involving SME members and providing sustained mentoring, the program yields tangible benefits for the development of small and medium enterprises, enhancing their competitiveness in an increasingly competitive market

Abstract

Young business groups in Indonesia face challenges in developing their enterprises, focusing on business growth and stability. One of the main obstacles they encounter is limited understanding of financial concepts and access to formal financial services. This research aims to enhance financial literacy and financial inclusion among young business groups through community service programs. The methods employed in this program include conducting financial planning literacy training focused on cash management, emergency fund management, and debt management. The program is conducted at the Youth Forum, Yayasan Panti Nugraha, South Jakarta, which partners in this initiative. The results of this community service initiative demonstrate a significant improvement in participants' understanding and readiness in managing their business finances. Participants show increased understanding in financial planning, risk management, and identifying key challenges faced by young business groups. Recommendations for further development include deepening participants' understanding in financial risk management, expanding collaboration networks with local and national financial institutions to enhance access to financial products, and conducting regular monitoring and evaluation of program implementation. These steps are expected to strengthen the financial capacity of young business groups and support sustainable business growth

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of self-efficacy and competence on employee performance, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable, in the creative industry in the Greater Jakarta area. The study employs an explanatory quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 385 employees in the creative industry in the Greater Jakarta area, selected using purposive sampling based on the study’s criteria. Data were collected via a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4 software. The analysis included an evaluation of the measurement model and the structural model, as well as testing of direct and indirect effects through bootstrapping procedures. The results indicate that self-efficacy and competence have a positive effect on job satisfaction. Job satisfaction also has a positive effect on employee performance. Conversely, self-efficacy and competence do not have a significant direct effect on performance. Job satisfaction was found to mediate the effects of self-efficacy and competence on performance through an “indirect-only” mediation pattern. The indirect effect of competence is greater than that of self-efficacy. The novelty of this study lies in identifying job satisfaction as an affective mechanism that transforms personal beliefs and actual capacity into performance within the context of the creative industry in the Greater Jakarta area. Implications: Organizations need to integrate competency development, self-efficacy enhancement, job design, rewards, organizational support, and increased job satisfaction to maintain creativity, adaptability, consistent quality, and sustainable employee performance in a dynamic, competitive, collaborative, and project-based work environment
