Abstract

Abstract. One of the developmental tasks of adolescence is to be able to plan a future career. Individuals can be said to be mature in their careers if they are ready to make career decisions. One of the factors that can increase career maturity is self-confidence in individuals. With the presence of self-confidence can affect the success of students in learning and working. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of self-confidence on career maturity of vocational students in Cimahi City. This type of causality research with a quantitative approach. The research subjects were 400 SMK students in Cimahi City. The measuring instrument of this research uses a self-confidence scale which refers to Lauster's theory and a career maturity scale of Nurul Sri and Dewi Sartika which refers to the Super theory. Data analysis using simple regression test. The results of data analysis show that H1 is accepted because the significance value is 0.000 <0.05 so it can be concluded that there is an influence of self-confidence on career maturity with an R Square value of 0.180, meaning that self-confidence has an effect of 18% on career maturity of SMK students in Cimahi City. Abstrak. Salah satu tugas perkembangan masa remaja adalah mampu merencanakan karir masa depannya. Individu dapat dikatakan matang karirnya jika individu siap dalam mengambil keputusan karirnya. Salah satu faktor yang dapat meningkatkan kematangan karir adalah adanya kepercayaan diri pada individu. Dengan adanya kepercayaan diri dapat mempengaruhi keberhasilan siswa dalam belajar dan bekerja. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menguji pengaruh kepercayaan diri terhadap kematangan karir siswa SMK di Kota Cimahi. Jenis penelitian kausalitas dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian 400 siswa SMK di Kota Cimahi. Alat ukur penelitian menggunakan skala kepercayaan diri yang mengacu pada teori Lauster dan skala kematangan karir Nurul Sri dan Dewi Sartika yang mengacu pada teori Super. Analisis data menggunakan uji regresi sederhana. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa H1 diterima karena nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 sehingga disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh kepercayaan diri terhadap kematangan karir dengan nilai R Square sebesar 0,180, artinya kepercayaan diri berpengaruh 18% terhadap kematangan karir siswa SMK di Kota Cimahi.

Abstract

Abstract. One of the institutions designed to prepare students for their careers is a vocational school. Vocational school students should be able to qualify for employment, but so far the unemployment rate for vocational school graduates is still the highest. Students in SMKN grade 12th are considered young people who are required to be able to determine their own professional future. Teens can be unrealistic when making career decisions because they do not know much about what it takes to build the career they expect, but teens do their careers. There is nothing to help you decide. Therefore, social support is needed to help students reach professional maturity. This study aims to test the impact of social support on the career maturity of SMKN students in Bandung. The study method used in this study is a non-experimental causal relationship with a quantitative approach, and the subject of this study is SMKN students with up to 364 respondents of grade 12th. The research scale uses the social support scale related to home theory and the Dewi Sartika's career maturity scale related to super theory. Data analysis uses several regressions. The results of the data analysis showed it for a sig value of 0.000 & lt ;. With an R-squared value of 0.05, and therefore 0.277, we can conclude the impact of social support on professional maturity. This means that 27.7% of social support will affect the professional maturity of SMKN students in Bandung. Abstrak. Salah satu lembaga yang dirancang untuk mempersiapkan siswanya untuk siap memasuki dunia kerja ialah SMK. Siswa SMK diarahkan agar mampu memiliki kesiapan untuk memasuki dunia kerja, namun sampai saat ini pengangguran dari lulusan SMK masih tertinggi. Siswa SMK Kelas XII digolongkan remaja yang dimana remaja dituntut untuk dapat menentukan karirnya di masa depan. Remaja dalam menentukan keputusan karirnya kadang tidak realistis, karena mereka kurang mengetahui tentang hal apa saja yang dibutuhkan untuk mendapatkan karir sesuai yang diharapkannya tetapi tidak ada yang membantu remaja tersebut untuk menentukan karirnya. Oleh karenanya dibutuhkan dukungan sosial yang membantu siswa untuk mencapai kematangan karirnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh Dukungan Sosial terhadap Kematangan Karir siswa SMKN di Kota Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kausalitas non eksperimental denagn pendekatan kuantitatif dan subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa SMKN di Kota Bandung sebanyak 364 siswa kelas XII. Alat ukur penelitian menggunakan skala dukungan sosial yang mengacu pada teori House dan skala kematangan karir Dewi Sartika yang mengacu pada teori Super. Analisis data menggunakan regresi berganda. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan H0 ditolak karena nilai sig 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh dukungan sosial terhadap kematangan karir dengan nilai R square sebesar 0.277 yang artinya dukungan sosial berpengaruh 27,7% terhadap kematangan karir siswa SMKN kelas XII di Kota Bandung.

Abstract. Vocational High School students are not only required to equip themselves with knowledge and skills related to their expertise. Still, they are also needed to add information related to jobs and careers currently available and prepare their career options and plans. Therefore, in addition to increasing knowledge and practical skills, vocational students also need to increase confidence in making career decisions. The higher the faith, the students can face the tasks of making career decisions well. Contextual factors play an essential role in determining how much confidence an individual has in his ability to meet the functions of making career decisions. The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of Contextual Supports and Barriers on Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy in State Vocational High School students in Bandung City. This study consisted of 260 grade 12 students from 8 State Vocational Schools in Bandung City. Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy is measured using the Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy Short Form (CDSE-SF) adapted by Sawitri et al. (2012). Contextual Support and Barrier data collection were carried out using the Contextual Support and Barrier instrument developed by Lent et al. (2001). The results of this study indicate the effect of contextual support of 34.85% and contextual barrier of 0.53% on career decision-making self-efficacy in State Vocational High School students in Bandung City. Abstract

Abstract. Problems in determining a career at the high school education level are still experienced by students. Based on the survey data found, 92% of high school students are still confused and undecided whether they will continue their education level or start their career immediately. The conditions experienced by high school students can cause problems when they start entering the next level of education, namely college. This is evidenced by the survey data found, namely 87% of Indonesian students feel that the majors taken in college are not in accordance with their interests. One of the factors is the difference in the wishes of their parents when they were in high school. Seeing the involvement of parents' desires in determining career choices, this study aims to examine the effect of perceptions of parental expectations on career decision making self-efficacy in public high school. The research method used in this study is non-experimental causality with a quantitative approach. The subjects of this study were 273 students in grade 12th at public high school in Bandung. This research uses two measuring instruments namely, Perception of Parental Expectations Inventory and Career Decision Making Self Efficacy Scale – Short Form. The data analysis of this research used simple linear regression analysis. The results obtained from this study are that there is an influence of perceptions of parents' expectations on career decision making self-efficacy, with an effect of 24.9%. Abstrak. Masalah dalam menentukan karir pada jenjang pendidikan SMA masih dialami oleh siswa. Berdasarkan data yang ditemukan yaitu sebanyak 92% siswa SMA sederajat masih mengalami kebingungan dan ragu apakah mereka akan melanjutkan jenjang pendidikan selanjutnya atau langsung memulai karir. Kondisi yang dialami siswa SMA ini dapat memunculkan masalah apabila mereka mulai memasuki jenjang pendidikan selanjutnya yaitu perguruan tinggi. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan salah satu data yang ditemukan yaitu sebanyak 87% mahasiswa Indonesia mengakui bahwa jurusan yang diambil diperkuliahan tidak sesuai dengan minatnya. Salah satu faktor yaitu adanya perbedaan keinginan orang tua ketika mereka di SMA. Melihat adanya keterlibatan keinginan orang tua dalam menentukan pilihan karir, sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh persepsi mengenai harapan orang tua terhadap career decision making self-efficacy pada siswa SMA Negeri Kelas XII di Kota Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kausalitas non eksperimental dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Negeri Kelas XII di Kota Bandung sebanyak 273 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat ukur Perception of Parental Expectations Inventory dan Career Decision Making Self Efficacy Scale – Short Form. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi linier sederhana. Hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh persepsi mengenai harapan orang tua terhadap career decison making self-efficacy, dengan pengaruhnya sebanyak 24,9 %.

Abstract

Abstract. Based on the data, there is a phenomenon of procrastination among students in Indonesia during the Covid-19 pandemic. This procrastination is characterized by a tendency to often procrastinate tasks and obligations so that they accumulate at the end and many find it difficult to complete them. Although in general there is procrastination among students in Indonesia during the Covid-19 pandemic, students of MAN 2 Tasikmalaya still have a strong urge to take part in the distance learning process and have good academic achievements. Some researchers have revealed that adaptive procrastination has a positive effect on academic achievement. Adaptive procrastination or active procrastination is deliberate procrastination and for the most part leads to a satisfactory outcome. This study aims to determine how closely the relationship between academic motivation and active procrastination during the Covid-19 pandemic is for students at MAN 2 Tasikmalaya. The sample in this study were 311 students of MAN 2 Tasikmalaya. The measuring instrument for academic motivation uses the adaptation of the AMS (Academic Motivation Scale) based on the theory of Ryan & Deci, and the measuring instrument on the Active Procrastination Scale uses the adaptation of the APS (Active Procrastination Scale) based on the theory of Chun Chu & Choi. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational method. Data analysis using product moment pearson correlation test. The measurement results show that the correlation value is .642 > .111, which means that there is a strong and positive relationship between academic motivation and active procrastination. Abstrak. Berdasarkan data, terdapat fenomena prokrastinasi siswa di Indonesia pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Prokrastinasi ini ditandai dengan kecenderungan siswa yang sering menunda-nunda tugas dan kewajibannya sehingga menumpuk diakhir dan banyak yang merasa kesulitan dalam menyelesaikannya. Walaupun secara umum terjadi prokrastinasi pada siswa di Indonesia saat masa pandemi Covid-19, siswa MAN 2 Tasikmalaya tetap memiliki dorongan kuat untuk mengikuti proses pembelajaran jarak jauh dan mendapatkan prestasi akademik yang baik. Beberapa peneliti telah mengungkapkan bahwa penundaan yang adaptif memiliki efek positif pada prestasi akademik. Penundaan adaptif atau prokrastinasi aktif merupakan penundaan dengan sengaja dan sebagian besar mengarah pada hasil yang tetap memuaskan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa erat hubungan antara motivasi akademik dengan active procrastination di masa pandemi Covid-19 pada siswa MAN 2 Tasikmalaya. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 311 siswa MAN 2 Tasikmalaya. Alat ukur motivasi akademik menggunakan adaptasi AMS (Academic Motivation Scale) berdasarkan teori Ryan & Deci, dan alat ukur Active Procrastination Scale menggunakan adaptasi APS (Active Procrastination Scale) berdasarkan teori Chun Chu & Choi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi product moment pearson. Hasil pengukuran menunjukan bahwa nilai korelasi .642 > .111, yang berarti bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang kuat antara motivasi akademik dengan active procrastination.

Abstract

Abstract. Final year-students in career development are in the exploration stage, where in this stage they are said to have high career maturity if individuals can obtain more complete and accurate information regards to work, choose alternative careers, and decide to start working. However, there are still many final-year students at Bandung Islamic University who feel confused about what to do after graduating from college. Furthermore, students find it difficult to plan their future careers since there are still many things they do not know about their chosen career. In fact, most of them have high GPA scores, they should be able to plan their future careers since one of the factors which can affect career maturity is learning achievement. Achievement will determine the success or failure of education. Therefore, achievement has an important function for students' future. The aim of this study is that to see how much influence learning achievement on career maturity in final-year students at Bandung Islamic University. This study used the causality method with simple linear regression data analysis. Moreover, the measuring instrument used for learning achievement was the student's last GPA score while for career maturity was the Super career maturity scale which had been modified by Mutiara S & Sartika D (2022). In addition, the samples obtained in this study were 268 students at Bandung Islamic University. The result shows that there is no effect of the learning achievement variable on the career maturity variable in final-year students at Bandung Islamic University with a contribution of 22%. Abstrak. Mahasiswa tingkat akhir dalam perkembangan karir berada di tahap eksplorasi, dimana dalam tahapan ini dikatakan memiliki kematangan karir yang tinggi jika individu dapat memperoleh informasi yang lebih lengkap dan akurat tentang pekerjaan, memilih karir alternatif, dan memutuskan bahkan mulai bekerja. Akan tetapi masih banyak mahasiswa tingkat akhir di Universitas Islam Bandung yang merasa masih bingung terkait apa yang harus dilakukannya selepas lulus dari perguruan tinggi. Disamping itu, mahasiswa juga merasa kesulitan dalam merencanakan karir masa depannya karena masih banyak hal yang tidak ia ketahui terkait karir pilihannya tersebut. Padahal sebagian besar diantaranya memiliki nilai IPK yang tinggi, sehingga seharusnya ia mampu merencanakan karir masa depannya. Karena salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kematangan karir adalah prestasi belajar. Prestasi akan menentukan berhasil atau tidaknya pendidikan, karena itu prestasi memiliki fungsi yang penting bagi mahasiswa untuk menjadi bekal masa depannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat seberapa besar pengaruh prestasi belajar terhadap kematangan karir pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir di Universitas Islam Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kausalitas dengan analisis data regresi linear sederhana. Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk prestasi belajar adalah nilai IPK terakhir mahasiswa dan untuk kematangan karir adalah skala kematangan karir Super yang telah dimodifikasi oleh Mutiara S & Sartika D (2022). Sampel yang didapatkan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah sebanyak 268 mahasiswa Universitas Islam Bandung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat pengaruh dari variabel prestasi belajar terhadap variabel kematangan karir pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir di Universitas Islam Bandung dengan kontribusi sebesar 22%.

Abstract

Abstract. College Adjustment, where freshmen must be able to adjust themselves to the college environment both in terms of academic adjustment, social adjustment, personal-emotional adjustment, and institutional attachment. However, the COVID-19 pandemic learning process change to online, thus affecting the ability of new students at the Islamic University of Bandung to conduct College Adjustment. As a result, new students are prone to Academic Procrastination or procrastination in doing academic work and lectures because they cannot adapt to the academic culture of higher education. The research is aimed to looking at the description of the level of College Adjustment and Academic Procrastination on new students at the Islamic University of Bandung and the magnitude of the influence given by the College Adjustment on the level of Academic Procrastination. The method in this study is a quantitative method and the sample of this research is the first year freshmen at the Islamic University of Bandung who experience online learning which is selected based on the sampling technique, Simple Random Sampling, totaling 348 students. The measuring instrument used is the Student Adaptation to College Questionnaire (SACQ) from Baker & Siryk (1984) to measure the College Adjustment level and the Academic Procrastination Tendency Questionnaire from Ferrari (1995). Data analysis using simple linear regression using SPSS and the results of this study indicate that the College Adjustment level of new students is included in the low level and Academic Procrastination is included in the high level, and there is a negative effect of College Adjustment on Academic Procrastination of -0.984 which means a decrease of 1 score in College Adjustment will increase Academic Procrastination by 0.984 and College Adjustment can predict the level of Academic Procrastination negatively with an estimated prediction of 50.3%. Abstrak. College Adjustment, di mana mahasiswa baru harus dapat menyesuaikan dirinya dengan lingkungan perguruan tinggi baik dalam aspek penyesuaian akademik, penyesuaian sosial, penyesuaian personal-emosional, dan kelekatan dengan institusi. Perkuliahan yang mengalami perubahan menjadi daring mempengaruhi kemampuan mahasiswa baru di Universitas Islam Bandung dalam melakukan College Adjustment. Akibatnya, mahasiswa baru rentan melakukan Prokrastinasi Akademik atau menunda-nunda dalam mengerjakan pekerjaan akademik dan perkuliahan karena tidak dapat beradaptasi dengan budaya akademik perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk melihat gambaran tingkatan College Adjustment dan Prokrastinasi Akademik pada mahasiswa baru Universitas Islam Bandung dan besaran pengaruh yang diberikan College Adjustment terhadap tingkatan Prokrastinasi Akademik. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dan sampel dari penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa baru tahun pertama Universitas Islam Bandung yang mengalami pembelajaran daring yang dipilih berdasarkan Simple Random Sampling yang berjumlah 348 mahasiswa. Student Adaptation to College Questionnaire (SACQ) dari Baker & Siryk (1984) digunakan untuk mengukur tingkat College Adjustment dan Kuesioner Kecenderungan Prokrastinasi Akademik dari Ferrari (1995). Analisis data menggunakan regresi linier sederhana dengan menggunakan SPSS dan hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat College Adjustment mahasiswa baru termasuk kedalam tingkat rendah dan Prokrastinasi Akademik termasuk kedalam tingkat tinggi, dan hasil juga menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh negatif dari College Adjustment terhadap Prokrastinasi Akademik sebesar -0,984 yang berarti penurunan 1 skor College Adjustment akan meningkatkan Prokrastinasi Akademik sebesar 0,984 dan College Adjustment dapat memprediksi tingkat Prokrastinasi Akademik secara negatif dengan estimasi prediksi sebesar 50,3%.

Abstract

Abstract. Work engagement in an organization is an important thing to pay attention to because it is very important for the overall work function of employees and the sustainability of the organization. One of the efforts to increase work engagement is by doing job crafting or modification in work. This study aims to determine how much influence job crafting has on work engagement in elementary school teachers. The research method used is the causality method through multiple regression analysis with 373 public elementary school teachers in Bandung as subjects, including 10 elementary schools in Bandung City and 4 elementary schools in Bandung Regency. The measuring instruments used in this study are Job Crafting Scale developed by Tims [10], and adapted by Astuti (2023) and Utrecht Work Engagement Scale developed by Schaufeli & Bakker [12]. The results showed that public elementary school teachers in Bandung had a high level of job crafting, which amounted to 96.8%. In addition, the teachers also have a high level of work engagement, which is 99.2%. The effect of job crafting on work engagement found is 52% with the increasing structural job resources dimension as the dimension that has the highest value. Increasing structural job resources is done through efforts to utilize opportunities to develop and optimize personal abilities. Abstrak. Keterikatan kerja atau work engagement pada suatu organisasi merupakan hal yang penting untuk diperhatikan karena sangat penting untuk keseluruhan fungsi kerja karyawan dan keberlanjutan organisasi. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan work engagement adalah dengan melakukan job crafting atau modifikasi dalam pekerjaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh job crafting terhadap work engagement pada guru sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kausalitas melalui analisis regresi berganda dengan 373 guru Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Bandung sebagai subjek, mencakup 10 SDN di Kota Bandung dan 4 SDN di Kabupaten Bandung. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Job Crafting Scale yang dikembangkan Tims [10], dan diadaptasi oleh Astuti (2023) dan Utrecht Work Engagement Scale yang dikembangkan oleh Schaufeli & Bakker [12]. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Guru Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Bandung memiliki tingkat job crafting yang tinggi, yaitu sebesar 96.8%. Disamping itu, para guru juga memiliki tingkat work engagement yang tinggi, yaitu sebesar 99.2%. Pengaruh job crafting terhadap work engagement yang ditemukan adalah 52% dengan dimensi increasing structural job resources sebagai dimensi yang memiliki nilai paling tinggi. Increasing structural job resources dilakukan melalui upaya pemanfaatan kesempatan untuk mengembangkan dan mengoptimalkan kemampuan diri.

Abstract. Lecturers play an important role in the context of higher education, which includes delivering learning materials, academic guidance, and developing student skills. The role of lecturers is not just a provider of information, but also includes character building and the development of thinking skills in students. In addition to these tasks, lecturers are also involved in research and academic development activities to continuously improve the quality of education. Therefore, lecturer performance assessment does not only focus on the teaching aspect, but also involves their contribution in research and community service. This study aims to determine the effect of basic need satisfaction on work engagement conducted on college lecturers in Bandung. This research method uses a non-experimental quantitative approach, using multiple regression analysis tests. The number of samples in this study amounted to 99 lecturers at Bandung Universities. The measuring instrument used is the basic need satisfaction measuring instrument from Van den Broeck et.al, (2010) and the work engagement measuring instrument from Schaufeli & Bakker. The results of multiple regression tests state that there is a significant influence of basic need satisfaction on work engagement with a large influence of 0.255. And the need for competence aspect is the aspect that has the most dominant influence in shaping work engagement. Abstrak. Dosen memberikan peranan penting dalam konteks pendidikan tinggi, yang mencakup penyampaian materi pembelajaran, bimbingan akademik, dan pengembangan keterampilan mahasiswa. Peran dosen tidak hanya sekedar sebagai pemberi informasi, tetapi juga mencakup pembinaan karakter dan pengembangan kemampuan berpikir pada mahasiswa. Selain tugas-tugas tersebut, dosen juga terlibat dalam kegiatan penelitian dan pengembangan akademis guna terus meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Oleh karena itu, penilaian kinerja dosen tidak hanya berfokus pada aspek pengajaran, tetapi juga melibatkan kontribusinya dalam penelitian dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh basic need satisfaction terhadap work engagement yang dilakukan pada dosen perguruan tinggi di Bandung. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif non-eksperimental, dengan menggunakan uji analisis regresi berganda. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 99 dosen di Perguruan Tinggi Bandung. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah alat ukur basic need satisfaction dari Van den Broeck et.al, (2010) serta alat ukur work engagement dari Schaufeli & Bakker. Hasil Uji regresi berganda menyatakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan basic need satisfaction terhadap work engagement dengan besar pengaruh 0.255. Serta aspek need for competence menjadi aspek yang memiliki pengaruh paling dominan dalam membentuk work engagement.

Abstract. This article is a literature review aimed at delving into the concept of academic hardiness in the academic context and as a form of stress management. A profound understanding of this concept is essential to depict the role of academic hardiness in facing challenges within the academic environment. Through literature analysis, this article seeks to provide a comprehensive overview of the significance of academic hardiness in understanding and managing stress in the academic domain. Abstrak. Artikel ini merupakan tinjauan literatur yang bertujuan untuk mendalami konsep academic hardiness dalam konteks akademis dan sebagai suatu bentuk manajemen stres. Pemahaman yang mendalam terhadap konsep ini menjadi kunci untuk menggambarkan peran academic hardiness dalam menghadapi tantangan di lingkungan akademis. Melalui analisis literatur, artikel ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran yang komprehensif tentang arti penting academic hardiness dalam memahami dan mengelola stres di ranah akademis.
