Abstract

Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) plays a strategic role in supporting Indonesia’s economic growth, although its realization tends to fluctuate due to various economic and non-economic factors. This study aims to examine the effects of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), political stability, and the tax ratio on FDI in Indonesia. A quantitative approach is employed using the Error Correction Model (ECM) method, with annual data from 1998 to 2023. The results indicate a long-run relationship among the variables, where the tax ratio and political stability have a positive and significant impact on FDI. In the short run, only political stability shows a positive effect on FDI. These findings highlight the importance of maintaining political stability and implementing supportive fiscal policies to sustainably attract foreign investment.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the mismatch between potential and real conditions in Indonesia, resulting in food security problems. As an archipelagic, maritime, tropical, and agricultural country, Indonesia has abundant natural resource potential. Indonesia is one of the largest rice-producing countries in the world. However, Indonesia's food security condition is still low. It is proven by Indonesia's food security index, which is still below the global and Asia-Pacific averages. This research aims to analyze the influence of Rice Production, Poverty, and Prevalence of undernourishment variables on food security in Indonesia. This type of research is descriptive quantitative, using secondary data in the form of panel data for 2018-2022. The analytical method used in this research is panel data regression analysis. The results of this research show that the variables of rice production, poverty, and prevalence of undernourishment (PoU) together significantly affect food security in Indonesia. Partially, the rice production variable has a positive and insignificant effect on food security in Indonesia. The poverty variable negatively and significantly affects food security in Indonesia. The prevalence of the undernourishment variable has a positive and significant effect on food security in Indonesia.

Abstract

The increasing amount of waste in rural communities has become a problem that needs to be addressed effectively and sustainably. One solution that can be implemented is the use of a rocket stove, a simple stove that utilizes biomass waste such as twigs, dry leaves, and organic waste as fuel. The rocket stove implementation program in Ngalian Village aims to reduce waste volume, enhance the utilization of waste as an alternative energy source, and raise community awareness about the importance of environmental conservation. The methods used include socialization activities, training on how to build a rocket stove, and assistance in its use. The expected outcomes are a reduction in improperly discarded organic waste, increased community knowledge about waste management, and the development of environmentally friendly behavior. Therefore, the rocket stove can serve as an appropriate and practical solution to support waste management and improve environmental awareness in rural communities.
