Abstract

Positive innovation in maternal and child health services is essential to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates in Indonesia. One proactive effort initiated by Puskesmas Sudiang Kota Makassar is the movement for Assisting Healthy and Prosperous Mothers, Babies, and Toddlers or Gerakan Pendampingan Ibu, Bayi, Balita Sehat (GEMPITA SERA) to detect high-risk pregnancies early and monitor infants and toddlers with problems. This research aims to assess community satisfaction with the GEMPITA SERA innovation program. This research method is pre-experimental with a one-group pre-posttest design using a satisfaction survey questionnaire that examines tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy aspects. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a sample size of 66 respondents and the data analysis technique used the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The research results show that the public is delighted with the GEMPITA SERA team and the results of statistical tests found a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05. It was concluded that there was an increase in the average community satisfaction score with the GEMPITA SERA innovation program. This program focuses not only on improving access to health services but also on strengthening communication between the community and health workers, resulting in faster and more accurate service delivery. With ongoing support, the community feels more secure in obtaining maternal and child health services, which ultimately increases satisfaction and trust in the health system.

Abstract

Every child has the right to live, grow, develop, and be protected. To that end, comprehensive, integrated, and sustainable child health efforts must be carried out from the fetal stage to the age of 18 to ensure the survival and quality of life of children through a reduction in mortality rates, improved nutrition, and the fulfillment of minimum service standards for infants. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the implementation of Continuum of Care (COC) and mothers' ability to care for infants, focusing on health aspects and caregiving skills, to improve infant care quality and reduce complications. The method used is quantitative with an observational analytical approach and a case-control design. The study sample consisted of 76 mothers, with 38 mothers receiving COC services and 38 mothers not receiving such services. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test and Odds Ratio (OR) calculations. The results showed that mothers who received COC services had better infant care skills compared to those who did not. Among the 38 mothers who received COC, 89.4% were able to care for their infants well, while only 34.2% of mothers who did not receive COC were able to care for their infants. The p-value of 0.000 indicates that this difference is statistically significant. The Odds Ratio shows that mothers who did not receive COC services were 16 times more likely to be unable to care for their infants compared to those who received COC (OR = 16.346). This study concludes that the implementation of the COC program significantly improves mothers' ability to care for their babies WITH A p-VALUE OF 0.000. Therefore, it is recommended that the COC program be widely implemented to improve the quality of infant care and the health of mothers and children. Abstract

Sleep disturbances in third-trimester pregnant women are often caused by an enlarging abdomen, which can press on the diaphragm and interfere with breathing, making it difficult for the mother to sleep. Other contributing factors include increased fetal weight, shortness of breath, fetal movements, frequent awakenings due to the need to urinate, and back pain. Prenatal yoga aims to prepare pregnant women physically, regulate breathing, improve blood circulation throughout the body, and relax the pelvic and uterine muscles in preparation for labor. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of prenatal yoga on the sleep quality of third-trimester pregnant women. The type of research used is a pre-experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, with a sample size of 34 pregnant women who are physically and mentally healthy. Data analysis was conducted using univariate analysis and the Wilcoxon test. The results showed a significant effectiveness (p=0.000 < 0.05), which proves that prenatal yoga has a positive effect on the sleep quality of third-trimester pregnant women at TPMB Hj. A. Nani Nurcahyani, S.ST.
