Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the role of school supervisors in improving the quality of learning at SMP Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study used qualitative methods with the type of research case study. The research subjects were the school supervisor, the principal, and five teachers of SMP Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi. The technique of collecting data is using the interview method. The data analysis technique uses data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the supervisor's strategies in improving the quality of learning during the Covid-19 pandemic were: 1) monitoring learning activities, 2) coaching and training, 3) and assessing teacher performance both classically and personally. Based on this research, it is recommended that school supervisors come to school more often to carry out monitoring, guidance and assessment of teachers according to the minister's instructions. The results from supervision can be evaluated and followed up to improve the teacher's ability to carry out teaching and learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The existence of Public Relations in an educational institution is as a bridge or mediation between the school and the public so that each element in the school needs to design its relationship with various elements of society in order to achieve a harmonious and harmonious relationship. The relationship between schools and the public, through Public Relations activities, can be interpreted as a means of communication that provides information about schools to the community. Good communication can be felt not only by parents of students, but also the outside community so that it can influence the public to make it a favorite school. Implementing a good Public Relations strategy is one of the important elements to achieve this success. Taking into account the things above, the Public Relations Training for School Managers is very important to provide understanding and improve the skills of school managers, be it principals, vice principals, public relations departments and also teachers, in the field of Public Relations. so that it can help schools in building a positive image to the community. The end result of this service is that schools can design Public Relations activities so that they can be useful for policy makers in schools to build a positive image of the school and improve the quality of education.

Abstract

The number of business actors is an important indicator that will show whether a country is developed or not. The large number of entrepreneurs in a country will have an impact on the emergence of jobs which will automatically increase the country's economy. Indonesia experienced an increase of 3.1% of the total population. One of the Indonesian governments presenting PT PNM (Persero) is to contribute to the welfare of the community and advance Indonesian MSMEs, then the aim of PT PNM Persero ULaMM Muara Bulian is to form an entrepreneurial mentality, increase business and improve the economy, in line with the community service activities that will be carried out. The purpose of this service activity is to influence and change the mindset of customers who are "afraid" of facing risks in doing business, besides that it aims to eliminate Mental Blocks and provide assistance so that business actors have character and skills like entrepreneurs. This service will be able to answer the problems that occur in people who do not dare to start a career as entrepreneurs because they have a Mental Block within themselves, especially customers at ULaMM Muara Bulian. The implementing method in this service in delivering training material is using the Ice Breaking method and motivation Session, aiming to encourage participants to take part in the training and to motivate participants while attending the training, Presentation Session, in this method is in the form of a lecture by presenting material that has been prepared by the Team to training participants in the form of PPT slides and video shows and Discussion Sessions, in this session conducting questions and answers/discussions, namely the method used to respond to the extent to which participants understand the material presented by the Team.
