Abstract

Children nutritional problem in Indonesia remains as a challenge in health aspect. Several ways that can affect children nutrient status namely; the mothers’ knowledge towards nutrition and their activeness in Posyandu. In order to achieve the optimal status of children nutrition, the mothers need to be involved in Posyandu activity so the nutritional status can be monitored. This research aimed to discover the relation between nutrition knowledge and mother’s activeness in Posyandu visitation with children nutritional status in Puskesmas Pasar Ikan working area, Bengkulu, in 2019. This research used observational method and cross sectional approach. The technique that was used is quota sampling technique with 92 repondents. Chi square was used as statistic analysis tool. This research showed that 43,5% of children nutrition in normal status, 2,2% in critical status, and the last 54,3% in chronic status. The majority of sample showed a sufficient knowledge about nutrition with 40,2%. The active respondent with more that 8 visits showed a satisfying numbers with 68,5%, meanwhile the other only acquired 31,5%. The result of chi square statistic showed that there was a connection between knowledge about nutrition and mothers’ activeness in Posyandu visitation with children nutritional status.

Abstract

Penurunan berat badan dan nafsu makan seringkali terjadi pada pasien TB paru. Determinan penyakit TB paru salah satunya infeksi dan status gizi.Pasien TB paru mengalami penurunan status gizi disebabkan tingkat perilaku terhadap makanan dan kesehatan, khususnya kecukupan energi dan protein. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui hubungan asupan energi, protein, vitamin B6, vitamin C dengan status gizi pada pasien tuberkulosis paru di RSUD Dr M Yunus Bengkulu tahun 2020. Metode penelitian merupakan observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan metode accidental sampling dengan jumlah sampel 35 pasien. Pengumpulan data asupan zat gizi dengan metode semi food frequency quesitonaire (FFQ) dan recall 1x24 jam. Analisis data secara univariat dan bivariat menggunakan uji spearman corelation. Hasil penelitian menunjukan rata-rata asupan energi, protein, vitamin B6, dan vitamin C kategori kurang dari angka kecukupan gizi (AKG). Terdapat hubungan antara asupan energi dan status gizi, tidak terdapat hubungan antara asupan protein dan status gizi, tidak terdapat hubungan antara asupan vitamin B6 dengan status gizi, tidak terdapat hubungan antara asupan vitamin C dan status gizi. Diharapkan kepada pasien TB paru dapat meningkatkan asupan energi dari sumber karbohidrat, protein, dan lemak agar terhindar dari kekurangan gizi.

Abstract

Corona Virus Disease- 2019 atau dikenal dengan istilah Covid-19 telah dinyatakan oleh WHO sebagai global pandemic. Penyakit ini tidak hanya menyebabkan kematian, tetapi juga menimbulkan kecemasan dan acaman di berbagai sektor seperti pendidikan, sosial, perdagangan dan menimbulkan kerugian ekonomi yang cukup besar, sehingga perlu upaya untuk pencegahan penularannya. Kasus Covid-19 semakin meningkat termasuk pada kelompok rentan seperti anak-anak. Mengingat masalah tersebut akan berdampak besar dikemudian hari, maka perlu adanya edukasi dalam bentuk penyuluhan mengenai cara pencegahan penularan covid-19 dan demonstrasi berupa pendampingan terhadap orang tua dalam memilih bahan makanan yang dapat meningkatkan imunitas tubuh. Kegiatan ini dilakukan bersama guru, orang tua dan anak-anak di TK Anggrek Palembang. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan orang tua tentang pencegahan penularan Covid-19 serta tersedianya alat pelindung diri berupa masker dan hand sanitizer. Pendampingan lanjutan dalam mengolah bahan makanan perlu diadakan agar kelompok sasaran tidak hanya mendapatkan pengetahuan tentang bahan makanan yang dapat meningkatkan imunitas saja, tetapi lebih paham dalam pengolahan bahan makanan tersebut dalam penyediaan menu sehat dan bergizi bagi keluarga sebagai salah satu upaya dalam pencegahan penularan Covid-19.

Abstract

Background: Undernutrition is still a major nutritional problem in Indonesia. Babies are one of the vulnerable groups experiencing nutritional problems. The direct cause of the occurrence of malnutrition is one of which is influenced by the intake of nutrients. Low energy, protein and fat intake causes optimal utilization of nutrients and susceptible to infectious diseases (Diniyyah, 2017). Therefore, with the provision of morphalus instant porridge that is high in energy and protein can help increase weight. Method: This research is a quasi-eskperimen study with a pre-test research design and post test with control group design. The study was conducted from January-March 2022. The sample number of 20 treatment respondents and 20 comparison respondents were carried out by purposive sampling. Results: Based on statistical tests in the treatment group and comparison group obtained the value of the baby's weight before and after the intervention with a p-value (<0.05) Conclusion: Morphalus instant porridge has an effect on increasing the weight of malnourished infants aged 6-11 months in the Working Area of ​​the Taman Bacaan Palembang Health Center Keywords: Undernutrition, Complementary food

Abstract

The problem of malnutrition in toddlers is still quite high, based on the results of SSGI 2021, the problem of malnutrition in Indonesia for the age group 0-59 months is 17%, while the prevalence of undernourished toddlers in South Sumatra is 15.7% and for the prevalence of undernourished toddlers less in the city of Palembang by 16.1%. The study aimed to find out the effect of giving tempeh and red bean cookies on the increase in undernourished toddlers' weight in the Working Area of ​​the Taman Bacaan Palembang Health Center. Methods of research is a Quasi Experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. The statistical tests used were the t-dependent test and the independent t-test which were analyzed by univariate and bivariate. The results showed The average sample weight before the intervention in the treatment group was 8.88 kg to 9.33 kg after the intervention. Whereas in the comparison group, the weight before the intervention was 9.66 kg to 9.95 kg after the intervention. The results of the statistical test (t-independent) obtained a p-value of 0.006 so it can be concluded that there was an effect of giving tempeh and red bean cookies on weight changes for undernourished toddlers in the working area of ​​the Taman Bacaan Palembang Health Center. From the results of the study, it was suggested to parents of toddlers to continue consuming high-calorie foods such as formula cookies, tempeh flour, and red beans so that they can gradually increase their toddler's weight.
