Abstract

Corona Virus Disease- 2019 atau dikenal dengan istilah Covid-19 telah dinyatakan oleh WHO sebagai global pandemic. Penyakit ini tidak hanya menyebabkan kematian, tetapi juga menimbulkan kecemasan dan acaman di berbagai sektor seperti pendidikan, sosial, perdagangan dan menimbulkan kerugian ekonomi yang cukup besar, sehingga perlu upaya untuk pencegahan penularannya. Kasus Covid-19 semakin meningkat termasuk pada kelompok rentan seperti anak-anak. Mengingat masalah tersebut akan berdampak besar dikemudian hari, maka perlu adanya edukasi dalam bentuk penyuluhan mengenai cara pencegahan penularan covid-19 dan demonstrasi berupa pendampingan terhadap orang tua dalam memilih bahan makanan yang dapat meningkatkan imunitas tubuh. Kegiatan ini dilakukan bersama guru, orang tua dan anak-anak di TK Anggrek Palembang. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan orang tua tentang pencegahan penularan Covid-19 serta tersedianya alat pelindung diri berupa masker dan hand sanitizer. Pendampingan lanjutan dalam mengolah bahan makanan perlu diadakan agar kelompok sasaran tidak hanya mendapatkan pengetahuan tentang bahan makanan yang dapat meningkatkan imunitas saja, tetapi lebih paham dalam pengolahan bahan makanan tersebut dalam penyediaan menu sehat dan bergizi bagi keluarga sebagai salah satu upaya dalam pencegahan penularan Covid-19.

Abstract

The problem of obesity in adolescents is a common problem that often occurs in several regions in Indonesia. In 2018, it was informed that there was a 20% increase in the prevalence of obesity and overweight in adolescents. Seaweed has long been known to have high fiber content, the total fiber content is important for teenagers who want to lose weight like obese teenagers. Seaweed dumplings (siomay) are an alternative high-fiber snack for obese teenagers because it tastes good and is liked by all ages. The purpose of this research was to determine and analyze specifically the chemical content in the form of proximate and fiber analysis in seaweed siomay products. This research is experimental-based research with the experimental design used being a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD), chemical analysis was carried out at PT Saraswanti Indo Genetech Bogor. The results showed that seaweed dumplings (Eucheuma cottonii) can be used as a recommendation for healthy snacks that are high in fiber, with a contribution of 3-6 grams of fiber per serving. The results of the analysis also showed that the proximate content of seaweed dumplings per 100 grams contained water 61.48% (%ww), ash 1.39% (%bk), fat 0.79% (%bk), protein 4.48% (%bk), carbohydrates 31.86% ( %bk), 152.4 kcal of energy. The results of this analysis stated that the seaweed siomay in this study were following the standards by Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI) for dumplings products.

Abstract

Indonesia is a famous country had the diversity of plants, especially agricultural product and herbs, they had a potential of antimicrobial as a like Jasmine Flower (Jasminum sambac Ait). This study Indonesia is a famous country had the diversity of plants, especially agricultural product and herbs, they had a potential of antimicrobial as a like Jasmine Flower (Jasminum sambac Ait). This study aimed to determine the phytochemical and antimicrobial activity of jasmine flower. Extraction was done by maceration, such as using water solvent, methanol, ethyl acetate, and hexane as the solvent. The sample bacteria used were Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. This study used disc diffusion method, with a complete 2-factor random design and 4 replications. Processing of the data is using ANOVA. The results showed that the jasmine extracts with a concentration of 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% had an effect to inhibit of the growth of the bacteria. Jasmine extract with ethyl acetate solvent was the most effective to inhibit the growth of bacteria. It was known that jasmine flower extract is one of the good natural antimicrobials gave an inhibitory effect to the growth of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. Abstract

Introduction Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease caused by reduced insulin production from the pancreas and insulin produced is not effective in reducing blood sugar levels. This situation will increase blood glucose levels. Alternative therapy management to control blood glucose by utilizing food ingredients that can help reduce blood sugar levels, one of which is pumpkin flour and soybeans. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving pumpkin flour cookies to a decrease in blood sugar levels in Type 2 DM patients in Palembang Social Health Center. Method is a quasi-experimental research design with a pretest-posttest with control group using a comparison group. The subjects of this study were 76 people with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in the Social Health Center who were willing and fulfilled the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data analysis uses t-dependent and t-independent tests. Results showed that there was an average difference in the determination of blood sugar levels in the treatment group at 59.89 mg / dl and in the comparison group at 17.89 mg / dl. The t-independent statistical test results obtained p-value <0.05 (0,000), that there was an Effect of Provision of Yellow Pumpkin Flour Cookies and Soybeans on Decreasing Blood Sugar Levels in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients in Palembang Social Health Center. Conclusion There Is An Effect Of Provision Of Pumpkin Flour Cookies And Soy To Lower Blood Sugar Levels In Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients in Palembang Social Health Center.
