Abstract

AbstractOccupational health efforts for informal sector workers are things that need special attention. These efforts need to be done considering informal sector workers also have the same risk of experiencing work accidents and occupational diseases such as those faced by workers in large industries. This study aims to analyze the situation of the application of occupational health in Puskesmas in West Jakarta in 2018 through the approach of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the implementation of occupational health efforts in the West Jakarta Work Area Health Center. In this study the authors use content analysis methods to find out specifically the situation that exists in each health center. Based on the results of the study it was found that all Puskesmas in the West Jakarta area when the research was carried out had applied Occupational Health Efforts in the form of Pos UKK, but in practice there were many things that were still constraints and obstacles such as specific HR needs in the area of Occupational Health and Safety, lack of procedures clear technicalities related to the implementation of occupational health efforts in each Pos UKK, and not all workers in the informal sector have good knowledge and understanding of occupational health and safety risks.

Abstract

Patients who self-quarantine were carried out to break the chain from the spread of the COVID-19 virus, but a new problem arose: solid medical B3 waste originating from these patients. If this B3 medical waste is not managed properly, it can potentially transmit and be contaminated by infectious substances. Management of infectious waste from self-quarantine patients was minimal because most people did not know about it, and there was a lack of infrastructure from the government. Therefore the researchers were interested in researching the management of B3 waste, substantial B3 waste, from people who carried out Covid-19 self-quarantine. This study aimed to determine the community's effectiveness in managing solid medical B3 waste from COVID-19 self-quarantine activities. Using the snowball sampling method and cross-sectional design, the results showed that there was a significant relationship between Attitude (P Value = 0.000), Knowledge (P value = 0.006), Age (P Value = 0.019), Gender (P value = 0.000), Occupation (P value = 0.000) and Education (P value = 0.04) on community behavior in managing B3 medical waste during the Covid-19 self-quarantine period. Management of Solid B3 Medical Waste from self-quarantine has not been effective since its application is still low, and local drop boxes were not available as temporary shelters for B3 waste.

This study aimed to describe the presence larvae of Aedes sp, the community's knowledge dan behaviour about 3M Plus in West Java ProvinceMethods: This descriptive study used a cross sectional design, conducted in West Java Province in 2020. The sample of this study as many as 136 households and was selected using purposive sampling technique. Results: The results showed that 77.2% of the community's knowledge level of 3M plus was catagorized as good, 51.5% of the people implemented 3M Plus, and no mosquito larvae were found in 72.8% of the respondents' housesConclusion: The majority of the community had good knowledge and had implemented the 3M Plus program with results showing that in most of the community's homes no larvae were found. Kata Kunci: Gerakan, Mencegah DBD, 3M Plus  ABSTRACT Dengue fever is a disease problem that is transmitted by the Aedes aegypty mosquito vector which occurs mainly in developing countries. The DHF problem occurs when the rainy season changes to dry season where there are many water reservoirs. The purpose of this community service is to carry out community movements by increasing public knowledge in preventing DHF with 3M Plus. This community service method is carried out by health counseling and giving leaflets, and mutual cooperation to improve environmental conditions. The results of this community service based on the pre-test found that the level of public knowledge about DHF disease prevention with 3M Plus was 81.45% and the post-test results were 93.45%. So that there is an increase in public knowledge before and after counseling by 12.09%. With these results, it can be concluded that counseling on prevention of DHF with 3M Plus is quite effective in increasing public knowledge about prevention of DHF and it is hoped that the 3M Plus movement will have an impact on decreasing DHF cases. Keywords: Movement, Prevent Dengue, 3M Plus
