Abstract

In infancy , the weight can be used to look at the rate of physical growth and nutritional status of infants . Infant massage is analternative to achieve optimal growth and development .Research with the experimental study and design ofpre - post test designwith control group was aimed to know the effect of infant massage on weight gain of infants aged 0-4 months at Panii NugrohoHospital Pakem. The study was conducted on 29March to 17April 2012.Samples of this study are infants 0-4months thatmeet thecriteria: healthy babies , cared for both parents,exclusively breast-fed and did not have birth defects .Group treatment control groupamounted to 15 babies each . Infantmassage is done 2 times in 1 week in a 3 -week period with a 15minute longmassage . Beforeand after the massage baby weighed and recorded in the observation sheet . Test hypothesis with 95%confidence level and errorlevel of 5%with the application of R Commander with Paired Sample T - Test and Independent sample t - test. The results showedPaired Sample T - Test in the treatment group known p -value of 4.075 e- 05 with an average of 630 grams weight gain . In controlgroup showed p-vaiue 0.08297with an average of 83 gramsweight gain. Independent samplet- test obtainedp -value of 0.000161.So there isan effect of infantmassage onweight gain of infants aged 0-4months .

Abstract

Nutrition knowledge of parents affects the choice of children's food, while the food children eat affects nutritional status. Gedongtengen health centers have the highest malnutrition rates in the city of Yogyakarta at 2.66%. Pringgokusumariurban villages are 2.1 5% and 18.26% malnutrition malnutrition. Purpose the examine the relationship between levels of a mother knowing about the balanced menu with the nutritional status of children 12-59. months in neighborhood health center Village Pringgokusuman. Analytic Observational study types with cross-sectional research design, conducted in neighborhood health center Village  Pringgokusuman with 63 sample respondents. Metode sampling used is purposive sampling. This research instrument is the questionnaire and scales infants/toddlers provided neighborhood health center cadres. Data were analyzed using the Kendall Tau test.The result: Mother majority of toddlers have a good knowledge of the balanced menu 55.56% of respondents. Toddlers' majority had good nutritional status as much as 79.37% of respondents. Correlation results in this study so that the p-value 0.033 p-value < 95% confidence level. Conclusions: There is a relationship between the mother's level of knowledge about the balanced menu with children's nutritional status.

Abstract

Anemia was a health problem that was globally experienced by developed countries. Anemia was affected by many pregnant women, toddlers, and school-age children in Indonesia. The incidence of SEZs on women of fertile age was 49,44%. This study aimed to determine the effect of the implementation of anemia prevention in high school-based community empowerment on increasing the knowledge and participation of teachers, canteen managers, and school students. This was a quasi-experimental study. This design was a pre-post test with control. The population was high school students in the district of Srandakan Bantul Regency. Data were collected by interview, observation, and document search techniques. Data analysis was performed by means of different t-test. There was a difference in knowledge about controlling the problem of anemia at the end of treatment in the two groups (p= 0,000). There was a difference in students' participation in overcoming the problem of anemia at the end of the treatment in both groups (p= 0,000) The conclusion, the implementation of the prevention of anemia problems based on community empowerment on the knowledge and participation of students, teachers, and managers of the school canteen to controll anemia problem
