Abstract

This article is about a cultural tourism in the Prai Ijing Traditional Village, Waikabubak City District, West Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara. The aim of this article is to discuss the tourism development and identify the potential of cultural tourism in the Prai Ijing Traditional Village, Waikabubak City District, West Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara. The data were collected by observation, interviews, and documentation. The sampling techniques were purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis to give an overview of the identity of the potential of cultural tourism in the Prai Ijing Traditional Village. The results of the analysis show that The Traditional Village of Prai Ijing is one of the potential tourist destinations with a megalithic grave bed and traditional house inside having a unique culture, a strategic location, and having been visited by tourists. The tourism development is managed by Bumdes Iyya Tekki and the entire village community. The development is able to provide additional income for th local community. There are efforts to improve the quality of human resources through skill training and english class. There are tourism components in supporting tourism development, namely attractions, accessibility, amenities, and the existence of a management institution (ancillary). As input for further development, it is necessary to maintain the cultural preservation and local wisdom, improve the service quality, the diversity of attractions and tourist activities in Prai Ijing Traditional Village

Abstract

This article discusses community participation in the management of Kampung Todo Cultural Tourism Object of Manggarai Regency which aims to explore the potential of Kampung Todo Tourism Object and community participation in its management. The data analysis method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method that aims to describe the relationship between the phenomena studied systematically, factually, and accurately. Data collection was carried out using interview techniques, observation, and documentation in the form of primary data and secondary data. The results of the analysis show that Todo Village has tourism potential, both cultural potential and natural potential. Community participation has become more optimal in management with the formation of a management body, namely the Tourism Awareness Group, with the aim of ensuring that all local communities feel the benefits of tourism activities. Community participation through tourism awareness groups has started from planning (decision making), organizing (forming Pokdarwis), implementation (as managers, guides, providers of needs and services for tourists) and participating in supervision.

Abstract

Pantai Nyanyi is a beach located in Tabanan Regency, Bali. This beach has a variety of tourism potential, both physical and non-physical potential. The existence of these various potentials can be developed as a tourist attraction. The purpose of this study is to describe the potential and analyze the weaknesses, opportunities and threats found on Pantai Nyanyi Tabanan so that the right strategy for developing a tourist attraction can be determined. This research uses descriptive qualitative analysis techniques. Primary data was obtained through direct observation to the research location and interviews with relevant sources, while secondary data was obtained by conducting a literature study using several journals that were relevant to the topic. The data is then analyzed using the SWOT Matrix method. The results of the study revealed that Pantai Nyanyi has tourism potential, both physical and non-physical potential. Its physical potential is in the form of beautiful and beautiful beach views and is still natural. Around the beach, there are hills and rock cliffs as well as a coastal forest. Pantai Nyanyi has waves that are big enough so it is suitable for surfing. Pantai Nyanyi is also a beautiful beach to relax while watching the sunset, this beach has a beautiful panorama to take pictures. Meanwhile, non-physical potential can be found in community activities as fishermen. Lack of promotion can be overcome by taking advantage of technological advances. promotion by the internet and social media. Another effort is to educate local people to be aware of tourism and the importance of maintaining the cleanliness and sustainability of the Pantai Nyanyi ecosystem.
