Abstract

The objectives of this study are analyzing the impact of industry sector’s contraction to income of household institution and identifying how much it influences to employment. For measuring the impact of industry sector to household income, we use multiplier decom¬posision of SNSE. A Structural Path analysis is used to determine which households and which employment influenced by the contraction. The findings indicate that the greatest impact of industry sector’s contraction is on upper class household in urban. The industry sector which gives the greatest impact is a wood sector. That impact also influences a production and manual employee in urban. Keywords:    household institution, employment, Multiplier Decompotition of SNSE, Structural Path Analysis.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and identify the impact of change in tourist expenditure towards the household incomes. The data used in this study was secondary one, especially from the Sistem Neraca Sosial Ekonomi (SNSE) Table of Indonesia in 1999 and from tourist expenditure data. The problems appeared in this study were analyzed by using Structural Path Analysis (SPA).The results of the study show that the change in tourist expenditure in Indonesia, most influence the upper household class in urban area in 1999. The change in tourist expenditure most influence non-farm household. Since higher proportion of tourist expenditure is spent to buy non-agriculture products. The urban household receives the influence of change in tourist expenditure more than the rural household. Thus, it is suggested that the government should put emphasis in developing rural tourism by promoting tourism based on agriculture and rural life. Keywords: tourist expenditure, household income, SNSE, Structural Path Analysis (SPA).

Abstract

The natural disasters that took place in many parts of Indonesia in the last 10 years have caused an enormous losses, including agricultural sector. The objective of this paper is to estimate the magnitude of the influence of flood disaster on land price changes in Yogyakarta, using a hedonic price approach. The sample are is choosen from the vulnerable flood area mapped by Geographical Information Systems (GIS), from which farmers and land owner are selected as the respondents. The paper finds the evidence of a high level of flood stream coefficient, indicating that the flood significantly reduces the land price. The average of household’s marginal willingness to pay for the decrease in flood stream level is estimated to be Rp 2.175.  Keywords: Agricultural land, marginal willingness to pay (MWTP), hedonic priceJEL classification numbers: Q15, Q19

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to identify the highest air pollution areas and to estimate household marginal willingness to pay for air quality improvement. The result of Kriging technique indicates that six sub districts in Yogyakarta City and one sub district in Gunungkidul have highest concentration of particle pollution (PM10). The result of hedonic price method conclude that by adopting a two-stage estimation procedure an 1% increase in the level of PM10 reduced property prices in the study area by 0.32%. Marginal implicit price for reducing PM10 is Rp 957,900.00. The households are willing to pay an additional amount of 1.34 percent for a reduction in PM10 by 1%.Keywords: Air pollution, marginal willingness to pay, hedonic price, implicit priceJEL classification numbers: D12, Q53AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi daerah polusi udara tertinggi dan untuk memperkirakan kesediaan marginal rumah tangga untuk membayar untuk perbaikan kualitas udara. Rumah tangga bersedia membayar tambahan 1,34 persen untuk pengurangan PM10 sebesar 1%.Kata kunci: Polusi udara, keinginan membayar marjinal, harga hedonik, SIG, harga implisitJEL classification numbers: D12, Q53
