Abstract

This study aims to determine the strategy of the Head of the Institute for Development of Islamic Studies (LPSI) of Ahmad Dahlan University Yogyakarta in internalizing religious values to students. The research method uses deskptive qualitative. The Chief Strategy of LPSI to internalize the religious values of students through the 3 stages, first, externalizing values where the LPSI collaborated with the Campus Introduction Program (PPK) committee in providing important information related to the campus Islamization program. second, certification Quranic activity supervisors and student organizations in providing Islamic knowledge. third, value internalization. in the academic realm and in the non-academic realmKeywords: strategy; internalization; religious.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi Kepala Lembaga Pengembangan Studi Islam (LPSI) Universitas Ahmad Dahlan Yogyakarta dalam menginternalisasikan nilai-nilai religius kepada mahasiswa. Strategi Kepala LPSI untuk menginternalisasikan nilai-nilai religius mahasiswa melalui 3 tahapan pertama, eksternalisasi nilai dimana pihak LPSI bekerjasama dengan panitia Program Pengenalan Kampus (PPK) dalam memberikan informasi penting terkait program Islamisasi kampus., kedua, objektivitas, pihak LPSI bekerjasama dengan seluruh dosen AIK dan sertifikasi, pembimbing kegiatan tahsinul-Qur’an dan organisasi mahasiswa dalam memberikan ilmu pengetahuan agama Islam. ketiga, internalisasi nilai dalam ranah akademik dan dalam ranah non-akademik.Kata kunci: strategi;  internalisasi;  religius;

Abstract

It was a correlational research studying about educator professionality (X variable) and education quality (Y variable) at State Islamic Senior High School 1 Pekanbaru.  This research aimed at knowing educator professionality level, education quality level, and the correlation between educator professionality and education quality at State Islamic Senior High School 1 Pekanbaru.  The samples were 46 educators at State Islamic Senior High School 1 Pekanbaru that met the requirements of professional educators—educator competence, qualification of education, and certification.  The data were analyzed by using Pearson product moment correlational formula.  Based on the analysis, it showed that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted.  It meant that there was a positive and significant correlation between educator professionality and education quality at State Islamic Senior High School 1 Pekanbaru.  It could be seen from the comparison between robserved 0.694 and rtable 0.361 at 5% significant level with N that was 46, so robserved was higher than rtable (0.694>0.361).  The result of linear regression coefficient showed that the probability score or the significance score 0.000 was lower than 0.05 (0.000<0.05).  Based on the determination coefficient, it was obtained the score 0.482 or 48.2% and it was rounded up to 48%.  It meant that the contribution of educator professionality variable to education quality variable at State Islamic Senior High School 1 Pekanbaru was 48%, and the rest was influenced by other variables that were not explained in this research.  So, the professional educators could increase the quality of education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the madrasah strategy in internalizing the values of religious character to students. The type of research the writer uses is descriptive qualitative research, with data collection techniques using in-depth interviews, documentation and participatory observation. Data analysis techniques in this study used data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The internalization stage or inculcation of religious character values for classes 1-2 MI Nurussalam is at the value transformation stage, classes 2 (process) and 3 are at the value transaction stage, while classes 4, 5 and 6 MI are at the value trans-internalization stage. MI Nurussalam's strategy in internalizing the values of religious character is divided into two fields, namely the academic and non-academic fields. The strategy in the academic field of MI Nuruusalam is to develop the Madrasah curriculum from grade 1 to grade 6 by adding special Islamic subjects and fostering a love affair with Arabic (the key to opening Islamic insights). In the non-academic field, MI Nurussalam integrates religious character values into routine activities, spontaneous activities, exemplary activities, and the Madrasah environmental conditioning system.

Abstract

The Developing of madrassa from classical times to the present can not be treated partially or half-and-half, but requires thinking the development of a complete and comprehensive measures and efforts are visible, flexible and credible, especially when faced with the national development policy in education who have the vision of the educational system as a social institution that is strong and authoritative to empower all citizens of Indonesia develop into quality human, so capable and proactive answer the challenges of changing times (see explanation of Law No. 20/2003 on the National Education System). Plus era of globalization has given a wide impact in many aspects of life, including quality demands in the organization of education. In this era every field requires the Human Resources (HR) qualified high caliber and reliable, so competition especially concerning human resources are very tight. to meet this demand, the improvement and development of education provision in each madrasah system continuously needs to be done in line with the dynamic development of science as well as the dynamics of change in society itself that is the development of character concerning the aspects of soft skills (spirituality) and hard skills (intellect). Strengthening way blend of character development in the stretcher build madrassas ideals and a strong academic culture that lead to superior output and good as expected madrasah in this age of globalization. Surely madrasas must have good managerial system in realizing the goal of madrasa education in it self.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penulisan Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran supervisor dalam melaksanakan supervisi manajerial, dan mengetahui faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan rendahnya kinerja aparatur di Sekolah Menengah Atas Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian yang dilakukan penulis menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek sebagai pembimbing kepala sekolah, kepala sekolah, dan kepala staf tata usaha. Objeknya adalah pelaksanaan supervisi manajerial dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawai administrasi. Pengamatan dan wawancara digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan digunakan dalam menganalisis data. Dalam studi ini, Informan utama adalah pengawas sekolah dan informan tambahan adalah kepala sekolah dan kepala staf administrasi. Setelah dilakukan analisis data, peran pengawas sekolah dalam melaksanakan supervisi manajerial sudah cukup baik, namun implementasinya belum maksimal dalam memberikan pembinaan langsung kepada aparatur. Minimnya pembinaan langsung oleh pengawas sekolah, kurangnya kerjasama antara pengawas sekolah dengan kepala sekolah, dan kurangnya kinerja profesional tenaga administrasi menjadi penyebab rendahnya kinerja tenaga administrasi. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan kata-kata informan dalam wawancara. dan observasi yang penulis lakukan pada saat mengikuti Program Studi dan Pengalaman Lapangan di Sekolah Menengah Atas Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. Jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan  subyek supervisor, kepala sekolah, kepala tata usaha sekolah  sedangkan objeknya adalah implementasi supervisi manajerial dalam peningkatan kinerja tenaga administrasi. Data dikumpulkan  melalui observasi dan wawancara. Informan utama yaitu pengawas sekolah serta informan tambahan kepala sekolah dan tenaga administrasi sekolah. Setelah data dianalisis menunjukan bahwa  peran pengawas sekolah dalam melaksanakan supervisi manajerial sudah cukup baik namun pelaksanaannya masih kurang maksimal dalam memberikan pembinaan secara langsung kepada tenaga administrasi. Kurangnya pembinaan secara langsung oleh pengawas sekolah serta kurang nya kerja sama antara supervisorsekolah dan kepala sekolah dan kurang profesional kinerja pegawai administrasi adalah penyebab rendahnya kinerja tenaga administrasi. Hal ini dibuktikan dari penuturan informan pada saat wawancara dan pada saat penulis melakukan observasi baik itu pada saat penelitian dan pada saat penulis melakukan PPL (Program Pengalaman Lapangan) di Sekolah Menengah Atas Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. Kata Kunci : Pelaksana, supervisi manajerial, kinerja tenaga Administrasi.

Abstract

SCHOOL COMPETITIVENESS SWOT ANALYSIS: A CASE STUDY IN SMKN 1 PASIR PENYU INDRAGIRI HULU,  RIAUOne of the characteristics to see the competitiveness of a school is its accreditation ranking. Schools that have been accredited A can be said to have a great opportunity in developing effective strategies to improve competitiveness. The purpose of this study was to determine the strategic position of SMK N 1 Pasir Penyu with SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats). All data were found by researchers through interviews, literature studies, observations, and documents, and questionnaires. Analysis of the data the researcher did was IFAS and EFAS, then SWOT analysis to find out some internal and external factors and to identify a strategic position of SMK N 1 Pasir Penyu. The results of this study indicate that SMK N 1 Pasir Penyu is located in quadrant I position (Aggressive), which means that SMK N 1 Pasir Penyu is in the survival stage. Researcher's suggestion for SMK N 1 Pasir Penyu is to be able to fix several internal weaknesses. To be able to avoid and reduce the threat of competition between schools, SMK 1 Pasir Penyu can create a unique competition as a differentiator between similar schools.

Abstract

IMPLEMENTATION OF SCHOOL BASED MANAGEMENT (Studi at Al-Azhar 37 Middle School in Pekanbaru)School Based Management (SBM) is the alignment of resources which independently ran by schools where all stakeholder groups involved. SBM also provides a flexibility for schools to determine directions and policies that are relevant to the situation and environmental conditions. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of SBM in Islamic-Based Junior High Schools. This research was taken at Al-Azhar 37 Middle School in Pekanbaru. The research method that was qualitative research with a case study approach. The research subjects were the principal, student representatives, public relations representatives, administrative staff, and 2 teachers and 5 students. The research object was the implementation of school-based management it self. The data collection techniques used observation, interviews and documentation. As the results of this study, the authors found that several school policies were related to student management, school relationship management with the community, curriculum management, personal management, special service management, facilities and infrastructure management, school budget management. One of the policies that related to student management was providing the online registration of prospective new students as well as giving prospective students the terms and conditions It was continually completed by the requirements to do an interview, taking test of Math, English, Recitation and memorization test juz 30.

Abstract

This article examines the application of CBT (Computer Based Test) in the selection of new student admissions at MAN Insan Cendekia Siak. The formulation of the problem, namely: 1) How is the application of CBT in the selection of new student admissions. 2) What are the advantages of implementing CBT-based selection of new student admissions compared to PBT. 3) What are the inhibiting factors and alternative problem solving in the selection of new student admissions based on CBT. This article uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The results of the research obtained from the data in the field indicate that: 1) The application of CBT in the PPDB selection is a policy of the Ministry of Religion for superior madrasas. The purpose of implementing CBT is to facilitate the process of accepting new students. 2) The advantages of using CBT compared to PBT are that the test results are more accurate so as to minimize human error, reduce energy, time and costs, the results are immediately known to the participants, the participants are more focused on working on the questions because the exam time is listed, reducing the sales of questions caused by the questions leaks and cheating in conducting test exams, results are more transparent, security is better maintained than exams with paper which causes paper to be damaged or torn. 3) The inhibiting factors for the application of CBT in the PPDB selection are the network is less stable, the website is down, the lights go out and there are still participants who do not understand how to operate computers. How to overcome obstacles, namely: a) network problems, the efforts made by the committee, such as during the socialization, participants are encouraged to bring a modem, then for those who take the exam at home, the committee has previously given an appeal to find a location that has an optimal network. b) for the problem of blackouts, the committee has provided a generator. c) for handling problematic application accounts, the committee will contact the central proktor to login with the participant's password. d) handling for participants who do not understand how to operate a computer, namely the committee provides training to participants before the official test day is held.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how the communication and performance of librarians at the library of UIN Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. The research method that the author uses is a qualitative method using a case study approach. The research subjects were Associate Expert Librarians, and one other librarian staff, as well as 5 library visitors. The object of research is the communication and performance of librarians. The data obtained through data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this research, the authors found that communication and performance are interrelated and influence. Good communication triggers good librarian performance as well, and increases the satisfaction of library visitors. Communication and performance are interrelated with each other. Good and proper communication will bring an organization to be even better, without exception, libraries which involve a lot of communication on the subject. A librarian is required to be friendly and polite in serving visitors, which means that they must communicate properly and correctly. Good communication will increase the satisfaction of library visitors and affect the librarian's performance, either increasing or decreasing.
