Abstract

Salah satu hal yang membedakan antara laptop dengan komputer desktop adalah, pada laptop telah disediakannya media touchpad sebagai pengganti dari fungsi mouse. Touchpad mempunyai beberapa perbedaan dibanding dengan mouse. Salah satunya yaitu kemampuan touchpad yang dapat digunakan pada media yang tegak/vertical. Berbeda dengan mouse yang harus menggunakan alas yang horizontal. Perbedaan inilah yang membuat touchpad dapat dipasangkan sekalipun pada objek tegak seperti tembok, pintu, dashboard mobil, bahkan layar monitor pun dapat dipasang touchpad sehingga dapat menghemat tempat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat touchpad yang dapat digunakan pada computer desktop melalui jalur ps2 mouse port untuk menggantikan fungsi mouse biasa. System ini menggunakan metode infrared sensing yang dipasang pada dua buah sumbu yang akan mendeteksi koordinat dari pergerakan jari si pemakai. Perancangan perangkat keras touchpad menggunakan mikrokontroler AT89C51 sebagai pusat pengendali, LED infrared dan fotodioda sebagai sensor gerak, serta push button sebagai tombol yang berfungsi sama seperti tombol pada mouse biasa.

Abstract

Perlunya pelayanan sistem informasi akademik yang cepat dan mudah pada Jurusan Teknik Elektro UNTIRTA, sehingga dirancang sebuah sistem aplikasi untuk pengaksesan informasi akademik via SMS. Sistem ini dibuat pada sebuah Personal Computer (PC) yang terhubung dengan telepon selular melalui kabel data serial dan sebuah database Microsoft Access, koneksi antara database dan Visual Basic 6.0 menggunakan komponen ADODC dan ODBC (Open Database Connectivity). ODBC digunakan untuk mengakses database relasional dan membuat program menjadi fleksibel artinya pengubahan jenis database yang dipergunakan oleh sebuah aplikasi tidak akan mempengaruhi kode program, setiap SMS yang masuk ke dalam telepon selular akan dibaca oleh sistem, kemudian dilakukan proses validasi sesuai dengan format kode yang telah ditentukan dan proses validasi NIM user. Permintaan yang dapat dilayani oleh sistem antara lain : nilai KHS, jadwal bimbingan akademik, jadwal kuliah, dan jadwal sidang skripsi.Sistem informasi akademik via SMS dibuat menggunakan Visual Basic 6.0. Untuk berkomunikasi dengan telepon selular menggunakan FBUS 1.5, program berjalan di bawah sistem operasi window XP Edition, dan sebuah telepon selular tipe Nokia 3310 sebagai sarana penerima dan pengirim SMS, sumber data diperoleh dari tabel-tabel database yang dibuat untuk keperluan sistem ini secara keseluruhan yang dapat diakses menggunakan perintah SQL (Structured Query Language). Dalam pengujian, sistem informasi akademik via SMS berhasil digunakan untuk mengirimkan permintaan pengguna dalam bentuk SMS response secara otomatis.

Abstract

Inhabitants of the Kendeng mountain region depend on the biodiversity of the forest resources for their livelihood. Mushrooms are important resource that provide benefits to mankind. The aim on this research was to document traditional knowledge in bracket fungi utilization to treat health problems in Baduy tribe community. The results described in this paper were obtained through the exploration and identification of bracket fungi as well as the interview to determine their cultural significance for Baduy people. Quantitative approaches were used to determine the Use Values (UV), Informant Consensus Factor (ICF) and Fidelity level (FL) values. A total of 6 species that were identified as bracket fungi were included to Basidiomycota. The Baduy community considers the main use of bracket fungi as a medicine for several ailments. The highest UV, ICF and FL value were obtained by Ganoderma lucidum. This study provides the information regarding bracket fungi species with the high use values that could be employed in pharmacological research and further biotechnological approaches in order to achieve an adequate revenue.

Abstract

The existence of contextual learning resources has been known to be able to improve the meaningful learning, particularly biology learning. This research provides the information about the medicinal plant utilized by the Baduy tribe as well as its endeavour in developing the results obtained as a contextual-based module. This research and development was designed using Thiagarajans’ model, which was limited in three phases (define, design, and development). The data was collected using interview guideline, validation sheets, and students' response questionnaires. The research findings inform that there were 67 species utilized by the Baduy tribe as the medicinal plants. These species belong to Spermatophyte and divided into 31 families. Furthermore, the validation results showed that the media developed was valid; in which the best component of module, based on students' response, was its presentation (the mean value was 89.5%). It can be concluded that the media developed is feasible to use as a learning resource.

Abstract

We present a Y-branch power splitter design with a multimode section using GaN on Sapphire at telecommunication wavelength. The GaN sample optical properties were also investigated, resulting in a refractive index for the GaN layers nTE=2.289±0.001 and nTM=2.324±0.00. Optimization of the structure parameters for this structure was conducted accurately using BPM methods. The results demonstrated the possibility of realizing a GaN-based Y-branch power splitter for various applications.

Abstract

Electrical capacitance volume tomography (ECVT) is an imaging technique based on the object’s capacitance value. To provide a representative image of the object under study, the ECVT system requires a method that can measure the capacitance value in the order of picofarads (pF). This level of resolution poses a difficulty for typical commercial capacitance measuring devices, hence raising the need for a specialized method with dedicated signal conditioning circuitry. The capacitance meter based on phase-sensitive demodulation (PSD) is made to solve the aforementioned issue and it is then compared with the characteristics of a capacitance meter-based commercial Arduino setup. The designed PSD-based capacitance measuring device has 97.894% accuracy, precision of 0.704 pF, sensitivity of 0.1197 V/pF, linearity with a coefficient of determination 0.9983, and stability of 0.028 pF/min. In comparison, the capacitance meter based on Arduino has 97.943% accuracy, precision of 0.027 pF, linearity with a coefficient of determination 0.9999, and stability of 0.04 pF/min. Testing is done on an 8-electrode ECVT sensor using dielectric materials of air and water. The nearest electrode pair on the condition of air as the dielectric medium has a capacitance value of 2.62218 pF for PSD-based measuring devices and 3.4027 pF for Arduino-based measuring devices, while the pair of electrodes on the condition of water as a dielectric medium has a capacitance value 9.8229 pF for measuring device based on PSD and 9.1069 pF for Arduino-based measuring devices. The opposite and farthest electrode pair on the condition of air as a dielectric medium has a capacitance value of 0 pF for PSD-based measuring devices and 0,0798pF for Arduino-based measuring devices, while the pair of electrodes on the condition of water as a dielectric medium has a capacitance value of 4.652 pF for PSD-based measuring devices and 0.1224 pF for Arduino-based measuring devices.

Abstract

Mathematics is an abstract discipline that involves concepts and ideas derived from logical reasoning and practical applications in the real world. The objective of this study is to assess the academic achievements in mathematics, specifically in the area of basic flat shapes, among first-grade students at SDN Kebagusan 04 Pagi, located in South Jakarta. The study will utilize the cooperative learning method known as group investigation. The study will utilize the cooperative learning method known as group investigation, which is a specific type of cooperative learning model. This study employs a cyclical framework based on the Kemmis & McTaggart model, which comprises four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research findings indicated a rise in students' proficiency in mathematics. The mean scores of the students are as follows: pre-cycle 63.00, cycle I 66.00, and cycle II 82.00. Additionally, there was a rise in the proportion of students who attained the minimum level of completeness. Specifically, in the pre-cycle, 33.33% of students achieved this level, while in cycle I, the percentage increased to 40.00%, and in cycle II, it further rose to 80.00%. In conclusion, the implementation of the group investigation cooperative learning approach has the potential to enhance students' academic achievements and comprehension of mathematical concepts.

Abstract

ABSTRAKJalan kelas IIIC memiliki struktur yang lebih sempit dan biasanya dibangun didekat permukiman penduduk untuk penggunaan pejalan kaki. Selain pejalan kaki, kendaraan motor roda dua juga dapat mempergunakaan jalan tersebut. Permasalahan mulai timbul saat kendaaraan bermotor memiliki kecepatan yang cukup tinggi sehingga membahayakan pengguna jalan lainnya khususnya pedestrian. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengembangan X-band speed detector berbasis efek pergeseran doppler untuk kendaraan motor roda dua di jalan kelas IIIC. Detektor yang dibangun mengimplementasikan sensor HB100 dengan frekuensi 10 GHz Adapun efek pergeseran doppler diproses menggunakan Arduino. Parameter yang dijadikan perhitungan diantaranya kecepatan, pergeseran doppler, dan jarak detektor. Hasil pengujian menunjukan bahwa sistem berhasil memiliki akurasi diatas 95% (atau error <5%) pada dengan rentang kecepatan 20-60 Km/jam.Kata kunci: detektor kecepatan; pergeseran doppler; x-band; akurasi ABSTRACTClass roads have a narrow structure and are usually built near residential areas for pedestrian use. In addition to pedestrians, two-wheeled motorbikes can also use the road. Problems arise when motorized vehicles travel at high speeds, endangering other road users, especially pedestrians. To address this issue, this research proposes an X-band speed detector based on the Doppler shift effect for motorcycles. The built detector uses the HB100 sensor with a frequency of 10 GHz, and the Doppler shift effect is processed using Arduino. The parameters used for calculations include speed, Doppler shift, and detector distance. The measurement results show that the system has an accuracy above 95% (or an error rate of less than 5%) in a speed range of 20-60 Km/hour.Keywords: speed detector, doppler shift, x-band, accuracy.
