Abstract

The purpose of making this thesis aims to determine, analyze, and identify the effect of modification of the tennis ball on the basic ability of orthodox style shot put by junior high school students. The author uses a quantitative approach with experimental methods, the form of design in the research design used is a one group pretest posttest design. This research was conducted at SMP IT Nurul Huda Batujaya and the sample in this study were students of class VIII A, totaling 23 students from 47 students of class VIII. There are three stages in this study, namely pretest, treatment or treatment for eight meetings, and posttest. This study was processed using the PASW Statistic 18 application. The results of the study showed that the mean posttest was greater than the mean pretest (45.17>33.30), meaning that the results of the basic ability of orthodox style shot put in class VIII A SMP IT Nurul Huda Batujaya experienced an increase..

Abstract

This research focuses on the experience of pre-service teachers who are carrying out teaching and learning practices in 8th grade Senior High Schools. By using code-switching to explain English subject matter at the school, as well as solving a problem during teaching and learning. For example, 1. How is Indonesian pre-service teachers' code switching functioned in EFL classes? 2. How did the use of code-switching as a teaching strategy influence the respect the Grade 8 Natural Sciences students had for their teacher?

Abstract

This study aims to seek how students’ experiences in using story telling technique as an English speaking learning. Story telling is one of the learning method to encourage student learning in developing skills and knowledge of speaking. Many researchers said that story telling is important in the field of education along with the times as a main characteristic in the quality of teaching and learning more active and creative, especially in English speaking learning. This qualitative descriptive focused on story telling as learning method on Junior High School students to find out their experiences in English speaking. The data were collected from observation, interview, and documentation. This study presents the results of students’ experiences in story telling technique as learning to speak English can provided new vocabulary, how to pronounced it correctly, and trained students’ English speaking skills. Thus, story telling technique is a learning method on students exercise has a positive impact on helping develop the quality of students speaking in a second language.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of Planning, Organizing, Leading, Controlling (POLC) in the welding training program to improve the work readiness of students at the Nusa Citra Indonesia course and training institution. This welding training program is organized based on the experience of LKP Nusa Citra Indonesia and the local community's need for training programs that are able to provide expertise or skills that can improve job readiness. This research approach is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of one leader, one manager, one instructor, one student and one graduate of the welding training program of the Nusa Citra Indonesia training and training institute. The analysis of the research obtained shows that (1) the planning of the welding training program is carried out on the basis of identifying community needs to improve work readiness and expertise; (2) the organization is adjusted to the expertise required by the institution; (3) the role of the owner of the institution as a leader to lead and motivate his employees so that the plans that have been prepared run according to the direction and achieve the goals of the institution; (4) supervision is carried out by observing directly or indirectly as well as viewing daily reports on lessons that have been implemented; (5) there are inhibiting factors that hinder students in understanding welding training materials and there are supporting factors that can increase students' work readiness.

Abstract

In the game of basketball one of the components that is needed is concentration. Concentration is very important in both the posture for jumping and passing along the field, especially when shooting, concentration is something that must be considered because it can affect the entry of the ball into the basketball hoop. In this era of the year, basketball is very popular with people from among teenagers and parents. Basketball is also a sports achievement in the world of education. In the game of basketball there is a shooting technique which is how to throw the ball from under the ring or it can be called shooting undering. Each activity we require concentration in order to do well. Concentration is also needed in the world of sports, such as throwing, kicking or shooting so that it can be released properly. In this study, 20 samples were used, consisting of 7 women and 13 men who were taken by purposive sampling technique. The type of research used is non-experimental with a correlational approach. The instruments used were a grid concentration test questionnaire and a 30 second shooting undering test. This data was carried out on extracurricular basketball extracurricular participants at SMP Negeri 1 Tambelang. Based on the data that has been discussed, rcount is smaller than rtable (0.008<0.444) with a significance of 0.574>0.05 where Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected, which means there is no relationship in the study of concentration levels and undershooting at SMP Negeri 1 Tambelang.
