Abstract

Sustainable land use planning requires the processing of spatial data to obtain accurate information about environmental conditions and the potential of available land. Spatial data is used at various stages of planning, from natural resource inventory, land use scenario development, impact evaluation, and decision-making of monitoring and assessment. However, the availability of adequate and high-quality spatial data remains a challenge in sustainable land use planning. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve access to and availability of spatial data, as well as to develop methods and technologies that can support the processing and analysis of spatial data. By optimally utilizing spatial data, sustainable land use planning can consider various aspects, such as environmental sustainability, socio-economic sustainability, and long-term benefits and public interests. This approach is expected to create sustainable land use, serving both current and future needs.

Abstract

Human geography is a branch of science that seeks to understand the complex interactions between humans and their physical environment. The spatial perspective is a central approach in human geography, emphasizing the importance of analyzing location, distribution, and spatial relationships in understanding geographical issues. This study explores various aspects of the spatial perspective in human geography, including its crucial role in understanding human geography, its historical development, and its theoretical implications. The introduction discusses the basic concepts of human geography and how the spatial perspective aids in analyzing human interactions with their physical environment. Furthermore, it explores the theoretical implications of the spatial perspective in human geography, including its impact on understanding human mobility, location and distribution analysis, and human vulnerability to natural disasters. The study also addresses the relevance of the spatial perspective in the context of future research directions in the field of human geography. Overall, this study highlights the essential role of the spatial perspective in understanding the interactions between humans and their physical environment within the framework of the human geography discipline.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of learning outcomes of class X students in geography subjects using the Pair Exchange learning model (cooperative learning) at SMA Negeri 34 Halmahera Selatan. The type of research used in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR), using a qualitative research approach. Based on the results of the discussion in cycle I, it shows that on average students have not been able to solve problems on the lithosphere material, with the application of the pair exchange learning model (cooperative learning) as many as 4 students or 12.90% of students are in the sufficient category while 6 or 19.36% are in the less category and 21 or 67.75% are in the very less category. So it can be seen that the learning outcomes of students in Class X SMA Negeri 34 Halmahera Selatan are still very lacking. Meanwhile, in Cycle II there has been an increase, namely 5 students or 16.12% got the very good category, 8 students or 25.8% got the good category, 14 students or 45.16% got the sufficient category, and 4 students or 12.90% got the less category. So the researcher concluded that the application of the pair exchange learning model on the basic competency (KD) of the Lithosphere in Geography subjects can improve student learning outcomes in Class X of SMA Negeri 34 Halmahera Selatan.

Abstract

The Quranic education development program aims to strengthen prisoners' faith by interpreting verses, memorizing short chapters, and the values of the Islamic creed. Using interactive methods supports the rehabilitation process of inmates within the prison with a holistic approach that integrates Islamic values and psychological aspects. Involving 100 male and female inmates, the program focuses on understanding and applying the teachings of the Quran in daily life. An inclusive religious approach encompasses religious activities and spiritual counseling. Regular Quranic studies and pastoral counseling deepen the inmates' understanding of religion. Creative activities such as art, group discussions, and collaborative projects aid in developing creativity and interpersonal skills. Understanding the religious and educational backgrounds of the inmates is designed to provide a personal and relevant rehabilitation experience, supporting positive changes in their character and behavior and preparing them for reintegration into society. The outcomes of this initiative include the guidance of inmates through religious approaches, focusing on the understanding of the Quran, memorization of short chapters, Islamic creed, and ethics. The activities involve the inmates interpreting selected verses and interactive methods. The introduction of memorizing short chapters uses repetition methods and active participation. Lessons on the Islamic creed focus on the oneness of Allah with an easily understandable and practical approach. Through discussions, role-playing, and practical activities, Islamic ethics learning is centered on moral and social values. Activities are carried out regularly according to a predetermined schedule, with evaluations based on behavioral observations, daily assessments, and final evaluations. Involving inmates in the planning process provides a sense of ownership while the religious institution's team conducts monitoring and supervision. The desired outcomes include an improvement in understanding the Quran and positive changes in the behavior and faith of inmates, measured through observations, daily evaluations, and final assessments. The necessary facilities and infrastructure include a mosque with prayer areas, whiteboards, and an Islamic library.

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas merupakan suatu bentuk penilitian yang bersifat reflektif dengan melakukan tindakan-tindakan tertentu agar dapat memperbaiki atau meningkatkan praktik-praktik pembelajaran di kelas secara profesional. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu: Untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan metode Numbered Head Together (NHT) pada Materi Potensi Sumber Daya Alam Dan Kemaritiman Indonesia pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 TIKEP. Dengan menggunakan jenis Penilitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian penerapan model pembelajaran Numbered Head Together (NHT) di kelas VII SMP Negeri Tidore Kepelauan dapat meningkatkan aktivitas guru. Pernyataan ini sesuai dengan presentase aktivitas guru pada siklus I 65,27% dan mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II menjadi 73,80%. Penerapan model pembelajaran Numberd Head Together (NHT) di kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Tidore Kepulauan dapat meningkatkan aktivitas siswa yang mana pada siklus I memperoleh nilai presentase yakni 61,84% dan mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II dengan presentase 82,89%. Penggunaan model pembelajaran Number Head Together (NHT) di kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Tidore Kepulauan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I 35% dan meningkat pada siklus II 85%..

Abstract

This research aims to determine the socio-economic conditions of coconut farmers regarding children's education in Modayama Village, North Kayoa District, South Halmahera Regency. The type of research used is qualitative with interviews as a data collection technique. The informants in this research were coconut farmers. The stages in data analysis; data collection, data reduction, data display (data presentation), drawing conclusions. At the data validation stage using triangulation techniques. The research results obtained are that the socio-economic conditions of coconut farmers are still below standard or low, this is because the income of coconut farmers, for the majority or around 66.67%, is only IDR. 1,000,000 – Rp.1. 500,000 per harvest. To fulfill their daily needs, around 46.00% of farmers choose side jobs, dominated by fishermen and followed by farmer labor, which reaches 30.00%. Meanwhile, for the highest level of children's education, coconut farmers are able to send their children to high school level, which is around 46.67% and the lowest is at the basic education level with a percentage of 12.33%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the application of PowerPoint media to student learning outcomes in geography in grade XI of Al-Khairaat Wayaua Senior High School, Bacan Timur Selatan District. Classroom Action Research (CAR) was used. Classroom action research is a form of reflective research that involves taking specific actions to improve and/or enhance classroom learning practices professionally. Based on the results of the study, the application of PowerPoint media in grade XI of Al-Khairaat Wayaua Senior High School, Bacan Timur Selatan District, in cycle I, the average student score was only 62.08, with a learning completion rate of 37%. Meanwhile, 63% of students failed to meet the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM). This condition indicates that learning outcomes in cycle I were still unsatisfactory. However, in cycle II, there was a significant improvement. The average student score increased to 78.33, with a learning completion rate of 92%. This indicates that most students have achieved the specified KKM.
