Abstract

Bahasa Indonesia:Program Aflatoun adalah program pendidikan sosial dan finansial untuk anak. Lembaga ini berfokus pada pembelajaran tentang tanggung jawab sosial dan pendidikan finansial yang diselenggarakan dalam lingkup pendidikan formal dan non-formal.  Tujuan utama pembelajarannya adalah membangun hak dan tanggung jawab yang memungkinkan individu untuk mengembangkan komunitas mereka dengan  teliti. Program ini menginspirasi anak memberdayakan diri  secara sosial dan finansial untuk menjadi agen perubahan dalam kehidupan mereka sendiri dan dunia yang lebih adil. Dengan demikian, Aflatoun berusaha mewujudkan anak  untuk menjadi inspirasi bagi lingkungannya. Aflatoun merupakan sebuah organisasi non-pemerintah lintas negara yang memberikan perhatian besar kepada pendidikan anak melalui organisasi-organisasi non-profit di dunia. Di Indonesia, program ini dilaksanakan oleh Lekdis Nusantara yang aktif menyelenggarakan sosialisasi dan pelatihan/workshop aflatoun di berbagai daerah. Penelitian ini akan melihat manfaat dan tawaran apa saja yang diberikan untuk menumbuh kembangkan pendidikan ke arah yang lebih baik. Sehingga, program ini dapat diterima sebagai salah satu alternatif dalam memberikan solusi berbagai isu pendidikan yang kian kompleks. English:Aflatoun is a social and financial education program for children. The program focuses on social responsibility and financial education which is organized in both formal and non-formal education. The main purpose of learning is to establish rights and responsibilities to enable individuals in developing their communities. This program inspires children to socially and financially develop themselves in order to be agents of change in their own lives and better world. In other words, Aflatoun promotes children as the inspiration for their environment. Aflatoun is a transnational non-governmental organization which pays a great attention to children education via non-profit organization in the world. In Indonesia, the program is implemented by Lekdis Nusantara and actively organizes socialization, training, and workshops in various under represented areas. This study examines benefits and opportunities given to cultivate education to a better direction. Thus, this program can be accepted as an alternative way in providing solutions for increasingly complex issues in education.

Abstract

One of the values ​​of Islamic moderation is equality. Equality in education is very important to ensure a just education process (equity) and equality. The Mu'ādalah pesantren is an exclusive educational unit, with an education system that is autonomous, independent and different from schools, madrasahs or other types of pesantren. This study aims to explore the values ​​and practices of equality in Mu'ādalah pesantren inclusively. With an ethnographic research, Pesantren Al-Amien Prenduan Sumenep was chosen as the research locus. This research found that, Al-Amien pesantren is not only an institutionally equal Mu'ādalah Islamic Boarding School, but also has substance and practical equality itself. Spiritual values, integration of Islam and Indonesianness, and the implementation of local pesantren culture in institutional practices justify the essence of the equality of mu'ādalah pesantren vis-a-vis other educational institutions.

Abstract

This artickel discussed that institution would stay survived harmony throught social conruction Pierre Boudieu with cultural capital, economy capital, and symbolic capital. The consept of educational multicultur need those capitals to creat harmony  institution, tolerance as the values of educational multicultur. So the the bia idea cuntructed by Maskuri in this artickel is fixed with the concepts of the theory of Abraham Maslow, Talcott person, pieree Boudiou that given  a new perceptions on how to creat and to build the harmony institution system based on the multicultural education.

Abstract

Tulisan ini akan fokus pada kebangkitan madrasah sebagai lembaga pendidikan Agama Islam dalam pandangan George Makdisi. George Makdisi sendiri merupakan salah satu sejarawan barat yang sangat konsen terhadap sejarah pendidikan Islam. Salah satu karyanya yang monumental adalah The Rise of Humanism in Clasisical Islam and the Christian West. Makdisi berpandangan bahwa Madrasah yang pertama kali muncul adalah madrasah Nidzomiyah. Dan yang menjadi platform dalam pembelajaran di Institusi formal ini adalah untuk mendidik para ahli hukum fiqih (lawyer) dan seni dalam literasi. Di mana outcome/alumnus adalah sebagai konsultan hukum (jurisconsult) dan juga sebagai literary arts of adab. Walaupun di balik Madrasah ada motivasi-motivasi yang menurut Makdisi sangat Politis. Makdisi memberikan pandangan bahwa Madrasa memiliki multi fungsi baik dalam navigasi politik, ekonomi dan sosial pada masa al-Mulk menjadi perdana menteri dan disebut sebagai tokoh yang melekat dengan nama besar Madrasah.

Abstract

Is there democracy in Islam?, how is the attitude of Muslims to democracy, is Islam compatible with democracy? This question gets a different reaction from Muslim thinkers. This means that Democracy in Islam is still a controversial issue, both theoretically and practically. There are at least two groups or blocks of views from Muslim thinkers. First the conservative group, they reject openly Islamic relations with democracy. For them in Islam there is no place for democracy. Second, the moderate Islamic view group. This group holds that the substance (essence) of democracy is in line with Islamic principles. While democracy in the view of Western educational philosophy in this paper is represented by the opinion of Dewey (1916/1996), Schumpeter (1942), Dahl (1971) and Zulu records (2001). While the view of democracy in the philosophy of Islamic education is represented by the view of moderate Islamic groups that bring Democracy into Islamic education in a dialogical way. The point is that the values of Democracy can be strengthened through education. Democracy and education are entities that can not be separated in achieving the two educational objectives as Nurcholis Madjid said in Indonesia context.

Abstract

This paper thoroughly covered what PKN participants of IAI Al-Khairat Pamekasan Posko 17 have done. As we know, the first verse of the Al-qur'an that came down was iqro 'which means read. Departing on the basis of this verse, PKN Participants had initiated the development of creating literacy in non-formal education at Pondok pesantren Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata and make this program a superior program initiated by PKN Posko 17 participants. Many steps and efforts to take attitudes and actions to create Islamic boarding schools with literacy culture have received positive responses from various stakeholders in the PKN place, especially from the head of Pondok pesantren. They are very enthusiastic in efforts to improve the literacy culture for students or santri. The final point of this activity is creating the formation of literacy groups that are active in non-formal institutions in Pondok Pesantren Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata

Abstract

The kiai as a designer, implementer and controller of the course of education in the pesantren. Kiai determines the direction of a boarding school education. The attitude and character of the kiai determine the color of the pesantren education. This study is to describe particularly a role of Kiai in pesantren management patterns by promoting tolerance education as one of the Kiai's leadership styles in the pesantren. This research method uses qualitative methods with case studies. The data network was carried out by observation, interviews, documentation, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). While data analysis using data reduction, display and conclusion. As well this study found a new model of tolerance education which a model of kiai cantered or a Model of kiai. First kiai became advisor and planner to set a education of tolerance based on multicultural view. Second, learning of tolerance delivered in the class integrated with the all the subjects, teachers should stated about tolerance during the class. And then the practice of tolerance accommodated by kiai including the community and santri activities as well kiai welcomed the tradition of community.
