Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan proses sains belajar siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan rancangan eksperimen dengan The Randomized Pre-test Post-test, Control Group Design yang dilaksanakan  pada  SMP Negeri 1 Gandapura, semester genap Tahun Akademik 2014/2015. Pada siswa kelas VIII (delapan) yang terdiri dari kelas eksperimen 25 siswa dan kelas kontrol 24 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes awal dan tes akhir untuk keterampilan proses sains, lembar observasi untuk mengetahui kegiatan guru dan siswa selama proses belajar mengajar dengan menggunakan model Problem Based Learning. Hasil uji normalitas dan homogenitas menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Uji t terhadap N-Gain kedua kelas menunjukkan nilai 0,00<0,05 yang artinya terjadi perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelompok. N-Gain tertinggi keterampilan proses sains setiap indikator kelas eksperimen 0,63 pada indikator mengklasifikasi individual/kelompok dan terendah 0,24 pada menerapkan konsep. N-Gain tertinggi pada kelas kontrol 2,88 pada mengklasifikasi sedangkan N-Gain terendah 0,13 pada indikator berkomonikasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran Problem Based Learning  dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains belajar siswa.

Abstract

Education is also a process in forming basic abilities both in the form of intelligent thinking and emotional feelings that are directed to human nature and to each other. Higher education institutions are required to be able to organize online learning. Online learning makes students free or a lot of time and can study anywhere. In addition, students can also get in touch with their lecturers through the use of several applications such as Google Classroom, Zoom, Google Meet, Video Conference or via the Whatsapp Group. The application of online learning is one of the learning innovations from the industrial revolution 4.0 and educators and students are expected to be able to adapt and take advantage of advances in technology and information. However, during the implementation of online learning there are obstacles in terms of aspects of facilities and infrastructure and human resources. Limited network connectivity, the high need for internet quota which is a serious obstacle for low-income people, and the lack of skills in using information technology faced by lecturers. Based on the results of the study of 52 respondents, the score of the online learning variable is included in the high category or percentage, so it becomes 65% if it is interpreted as being in the range of values 61% - 80% with the effective category. So that the results of the percentage test show that overall in each indicator online learning is categorized as effective with an average result of 65%.

Abstract

Calling upon the potential for disasters in Indonesia, disaster education in early childhood education seems very crucial.  Disaster education is an effort to create good knowledge, good conditions, and a strong attitude in dealing with disasters.  Disaster education can be carried out at all levels of education, both formal and informal.  The purpose of this study was to determine knowledge and attitudes towards the risk of volcanic disaster in Aceh Besar SAIBAS students.  The method used in this research is a descriptive statistical approach with a quasi-experimental research design.  The quasi-experiment used in this study is Quasi-Experiment: One-Group Pretest-Posttest.  The research was conducted at the Bukit Pedas Islamic Kindergarten (SAIBAS) Aceh The sampling procedure employed in this study involved the utilization of purposive sampling, specifically targeting a cohort of 30 students. The data collection instruments encompassed Likert attitude scales, interviews, and test results. Test analysis techniques were employed for the subsequent data analysis. The findings of the intervention revealed a notable enhancement in both knowledge and attitudes, registering an initial increase of 53 and subsequently escalating to 87. Moreover, the participants demonstrated an 85 capacity in disaster preparedness, underscoring their adeptness in comprehending the risks associated with volcanic activity. This discernible improvement in student capabilities underscores a heightened awareness and understanding of volcanic hazards. There are changes in attitude and knowledge after gaining knowledge about disaster mitigation

Abstract

Awareness and the development of entrepreneurial skills among the younger generation or productive age are essential to achieve an improvement in the quality of human resources. Entrepreneurship development is directed towards creating changes in life, based on strengthening the perspective of entrepreneurship education, which can optimize the skills, abilities, and competencies possessed. The research findings indicate that entrepreneurship development by students at STIKes Muhammadiyah Aceh is more focused on earning additional income, assisting parents, and developing their existing skills. Entrepreneurship education has a positive influence by providing knowledge for innovation, becoming more structured, and understanding marketing strategies as well as interactions with customers. To encourage entrepreneurship growth among students, an active role from the university is required in organizing innovative and responsible entrepreneurship education. Universities can provide motivation for students to dare to start or develop their own businesses.
