Abstract

PT ABC Logistics is a company engaged in logistics services, especially providing truck and container services for land transportation. This company operates various types of trucks, including 20 feet, 40 feet, 21 feet, CDD, CDE, Fuso, and Tronton trucks. In carrying out its operations, as a logistics company, it must plan fleet needs accurately to fulfill each order. However, problems are still found in the form of fleet delays when heading to the stuffing location to the customer. To overcome this problem, the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) method is used to identify the root of the problem and reduce potential delays. The approaches applied include the use of Pareto Diagrams, Fishbone Diagrams, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), and proposing improvements using the 5W + 1H method. The results of the analysis show two main factors causing delays, namely fleet wait and container shortage. Priority improvements for fleet wait include optimizing route plans that have not been updated, incompatibility between delivery times and slot times, and lack of communication between the company and vendors. Meanwhile, to overcome delays due to container shortages, the focus of improvements is focused on improving communication systems, repairing damaged containers (such as leaks or holes), and optimizing communication between vendors and companies.

Abstract

Transportation has an important role in the logistics of a company, both in services and products. Increased orders in 2020 for wooden speaker products at CV. XYZ (Wonoayu-Sidoarjo) makes this company try to minimize transportation costs at their operational level. This study focuses on determining the relationship between changes in the type of fleet vehicle and the depot location on the operational costs of product delivery and the time to return to the depot in terms of adding trips. The methodology used in this study is the CVRP Multi Trip with Heterogeneous fleet vehicle and the Gravity Location Model based on the heuristic method. Saving heuristic method and nearest neighbor are heuristic methods used in computational studies to determine the order of visits to the formed sub-routes. There are 4 scenarios that are modeled to further analyze the results of these computations, namely: (1) CVRP multi-trip of old location with wings box truck, (2) CVRP multi-trip of old location with Fuso truck, (3) CVRP multi-trip of the new location with wings box truck, and (4) CVRP multi-trip of the new location with fuso truck. The results of the study concluded that there is a relationship between: (1) changes in fleet vehicle type with total traveling distance, (2) changes in depot location with total traveling distance, (3) fuel consumption rate on vehicle operating costs, (4) average vehicle speed on the time back to the depot. Scenario 4 is the best scenario in terms of traveling distance, fuel costs and delivery time. However, moving the depot center is not easy, so the scenario 2 is the most applicable condition considering that the fuso truck is available and has a higher utility than the wings box truck

Abstract

SMA Yadika 5 has one of the goals, namely "Providing knowledge and skills in the field of entrepreneurship and plant cultivation that are beneficial for students and the surrounding environment". In cultivating plants, supporting materials such as organic fertilizer are needed. Coconut juice is often used as a cooking ingredient in household activities, where the pulp from coconut juice that is no longer used can generally be reprocessed into organic fertilizer. Organic fertilizer can improve the chemical, physical and biological fertility of the soil, in addition to being a source of nutrients for plants. Organic fertilizer made from coconut pulp waste for plants can be one way to carry out the goals of SMA Yadika 5. In addition, it can be a solution for agriculture or plantations for housewives or family members of SMA Yadika 5 students in urban areas. Based on the analysis of the situation around us, it turns out that teenagers are interested in learning this knowledge but have not had the opportunity because there has been no training and counseling in managing waste. The target of this training in managing household organic waste from coconut pulp is male and female teenagers at SMA Yadika 5, Kembangan District, West Jakarta.

Abstract

PT. IRNC is a company that operates in the smelter industry. One of the company's production processes is to produce and distribute raw materials in the form of wet Ore into iron and steel products. The distribution of raw materials in this company is continuously ongoing, leading to frequent failures in the functions of the gearbox and the chain of transportation of mineral raw materials. The company has a bustling machine activity but is not associated with the preventive maintenance activities of the machine. One of the activities that can solve the maintenance problem is scheduling preventative maintenance activities and periodic repairs to the gearbox and chain carrier of raw materials. Preventive maintenance is the maintenance activity on the machine which has the purpose of preventing the occurrence of damage, or the maintenance method for the machine planned for the prevention to extend the life of the machine as well as to avoid the failure of function on the machinery that may occur during the production process. This research aims to provide recommendations for scheduled maintenance of the machine with a preventive maintenance approach with the ISMO Method. The results of the research carried out based on the type of work performed inspection (I) and small repair (S) obtained results respectively for gearbox 13 times inspections (I), and 21 times small repairs (S), while for the chain of transportation of Ore 8 times inspection and four times small reparations, and the number of workers involved 21 people, with the total labor costs of Rp—863,820 million per year.

Abstract

This research was conducted in one of the Small and Medium Industries engaged in the agro-industry based on meat processing in Padang City by producing ready-to-eat packaged rendang, dry jerky and wet rendang. In the production process, the rendang SME produces waste in the form of solid waste and liquid waste. The purpose of this study was to determine the productivity of rendang SMEs both partially and totally using the green productivity approach so that it can be analyzed in the part that produces the potential for waste to be processed and increase the productivity of the SME. The results of this study are able to provide information on the description of the best productivity improvement strategy options, the level of productivity that has been achieved by the company, and the level of productivity resulting from the implementation of the selected strategy.

Abstract

Productivity is needed to compete in the modern retail market which requires the right product at the right time and in the right quantity. This activity aims to increase productivity in Small and Medium Enterprises, one of which is Mamabon. Mamabon SMEs have not been able to fully meet the target market due to limited production capacity so they need machines to increase production. The stages of this activity are in the form of surveys to partner locations, choosing alternative solutions, implementing and evaluating activities. Based on the results of the activity evaluation, the procurement of production machines in this activity was successful in increasing productivity by increasing production capacity by 66.6%, shortening production time and stages.

Abstract

PT ABC is a company in the manufacturing industry that produces premium spoons. The raw material used is 304 stainless steel. The high volume of defective production impacts reducing the level of customer satisfaction so that it indirectly causes losses to the company. The maximum defect rate determined and allowed by the company is 4.25% of total production. This study aims to determine critical defects and provide alternative improvements to reduce the level of product defects and increase the sigma level in making premium spoons. In this study, the Six Sigma method is used to determine the sigma level to be used as a reference in making corrective actions; the existing condition shows that the sigma level is 4.29, indicating that corrective steps need to be taken. The results showed that by analyzing Pareto diagrams, three critical defects occurred in spoon products: warping 98 pieces, freckles 102 pieces, and Discoloration 99 pieces. The root Cause Analysis method is used to identify factors that cause defects in spoons. The FMEA method is used to provide alternative improvements by reducing the potential for failure by considering the RPN value, where the RPN value of warping defects is 60, the RPN value of freckles defects is 60, and the highest RPN value obtained by Discoloration defects is 64. At the improvement stage, alternative improvements are given; from the proposed improvements, a decrease in the number of defects is obtained, which for warping defects is 15.5%, freckles are 16%, and Discoloration is 12.8% with a total decrease in the number of defects is 44.3%. From the results of the improvements that have been implemented, the DPMO value is 7,800 with a sigma level of 4.74. PT ABC adalah sebuah perusahaan dibidang industri manufaktur yang memproduksi sendok premium. Bahan baku yang digunakan yaitu stainless steel 304. Tingginya volume produksi yang cacat berdampak pada menurunnya tingkat kepuasan konsumen sehingga secara tidak langsung menimbulkan kerugian bagi perusahaan. Tingkat kecacatan maksimum yang telah ditentukan dan diizinkan perusahaan adalah 4,25% dari total produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui cacat kritis dan memberikan alternatif perbaikan yang dilakukan sebagai upaya untuk menurunkan tingkat cacat produk serta meningkatkan level sigma pada proses pembuatan sendok premium. Pada penelitian ini metode Six Sigma digunakan untuk mengetahui level sigma sehingga dapat dijadikan sebagai acuan dalam membuat tindakan perbaikan, kondisi eksisting menunjukkan bahwa level sigma bernilai 4,29, kondisi ini menunjukkan perlu dilakukan langkah perbaikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan melakukan analisis diagram pareto terdapat 3 jenis cacat kritis yang terjadi pada produk sendok: warping 98 buah, freckles 102 buah, dan Discoloration 99 buah. Metode Root Cause Analysis digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor yang menjadi penyebab terjadinya cacat pada sendok. Metode FMEA digunakan untuk memberikan alternatif perbaikan dengan mereduksi potensi terjadinya kegagalan dengan mempertimbangkan nilai RPN, di mana nilai RPN cacat warping adalah sebesar 60, nilai RPN cacat freckles adalah sebesar 60 dan nilai RPN tertinggi diperoleh oleh cacat Discoloration adalah sebesar 64. Pada tahapan improve diberikan alternatif perbaikan, dari usulan perbaikan diperoleh tingkat penurunan jumlah cacat yang di mana untuk cacat warping sebesar 15,5%, freckles adalah sebesar 16%, dan Discoloration sebesar 12,8% dengan total nilai penurunan jumlah cacat adalah 44,3%. Dari hasil perbaikan yang sudah diterapkan, diperoleh nilai DPMO sebesar 7.800 dengan level sigma bernilai sebesar 4.74.

Abstract

Diidentifikasi kecacatan pada produk salah satu industri mie kuning di Kota Padang, seperti mie hancur/patah, tekstur kurang keras, dan warna pucat. Perusahaan menetapkan toleransi 4% untuk produk cacat, namun praktiknya melebihi toleransi dengan rata-rata 4,10%. Diidentifikasi akar penyebab permasalahan kecacatan yang terjadi pada produk serta diberikan solusi untuk mengurangi kecacatan produk dengan menggunakan metode Statictical Quality Control (SQC) diintegrasikan dengan Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) dan metode 5W+1H (What, Where, Why, Who, When, How). Perhitungan metode SQC menunjukkan kecacatan prioritas yaitu, mie hancur/patah (44,3%) dan tekstur mie kurang keras (37,9%) dengan persentase kumulatif (82,2%) memenuhi aturan 80/20 pareto. Prioritas perbaikan penyebab kecacatan berdasarkan nilai RPN pada FMEA pada cacat mie hancur/patah adalah campuran adonan terlalu pera/kering (240), operator tidak teliti dalam pengirisan lembaran adonan menjadi untaian mie menggunakan slitter yang terletak pada roller press (168) dan roll slitter yang kurang tajam (140). Pada cacat tekstur mie kurang keras prioritas perbaikan yang perlu dilakukan adalah kesalahan mengatur temperatur mixer saat membuat adonan mie (192), umur tepung terigu yang digunakan terlalu muda (144) dan suhu mesin oven yang tidak stabil (126). Metode 5W+1H menghasilkan usulan langkah perbaikan, mencakup apa usulan dan alasan perbaikan, pelaksana, waktu, tempat dan langkah-langkah perbaikan yang dilakukan.

Abstract

The understanding and compliance with the regulations of the Drug and Food Supervisory Authority (BPOM) in the food industry, especially for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia should be a concern for entrepreneurs so that the products produced are acceptable to modern society today. The packaging process is one of the efforts to maintain the quality, safety and hygiene of products, also as a medium of promotion and information of products marketed to consumers. MSMEs Kampioen becomes an object in the community service activities carried out by the Team of Polytechnic ATI Padang due to the eligibility of partners and business permits that already meet the existing legality. Observations and interviews were conducted to find out the obstacles experienced by MSMEs. The obstacles facing MSMEs are products that have not yet been able to compete to the supermarket because the unqualified packaging of supermarkets and BPOM. The packaging machines used are old enough and almost broken. In this context, the graphical design of packaging that meets BPOM standards and the use of Continuous Band Sealer technology is an important factor in improving competitiveness and market access for MSME. These activities ensure the benefits of accompanying activities, such as improved efficiency and production safety, improved understanding of business management, finance, and marketing, and expansion of marketing. Thus, these activities provide practical guidance and specific solutions to help MSMEs boost growth and competitiveness in the food industry sector.
