Abstract

Overload is a condition where the goods stored in the warehouse exceed the existing capacity. With the accumulation, it will increase the storage cost for the products/goods stored. The purpose of this research was to help companies determine the optimal amount of production, optimal production time intervals and maximum product inventory so that there is no excess stock of products in the warehouse, and to obtain a minimum total inventory cost by using the Economic Production Quantity (EPQ) model. To collect the data needed in this study, secondary data was used which consists of production data and product delivery of company X. From the research results, the optimal production rate (Q*) is 13,646 MT/production cycle with an optimal production time interval of 1.16 months. or equal to 35 days, the maximum amount of inventory (Imax) was 429 MT. The total minimum inventory cost in one production cycle/month is Rp.167,925,698.28, -. The difference in total inventory costs generated using the EPQ method and calculations based on company conditions is 9% or equivalent to Rp.16,538,501, -. Based on the results of the sensitivity analysis it was known that all parameters are sensitive to Q*, Imax, and total inventory costs. However, a significant change is the parameter of saving costs, where the increase and decrease in saving costs will decrease and increase Q*, Imax, and the total cost of inventory.

Abstract

According to World Health Organization, one of the symptoms of someone infected with the corona virus is fever. Body temperature at the time of fever for adults is above 37 °C. Anticipation has been done by using a gun thermal scanner, which is expensive, not to mention how to use this tool, which requires direct physical contact when scanning. Recently, WHO has released a prevention protocol with the concept of physical distancing, which means that a safe distance between humans must be maintained at least 1.5 meters to prevent transmission. The current government program requires every agency to follow the health protocol during the transition period by implementing the New Normal. Correspondence activities at the Community Service Office such as the lurah or sub-district office have begun to be active again in serving the needs of the community, so this office will become a gathering place for many people, so that public services can be provided and also maintain the health of employees from physical contact with the people being served. must always apply the new normal health protocol to the public and serving officers so as not to contract the Covid-19 virus. The solution offered is to make a "thermal physical distance" tool, which is a tool that can be installed in an outdoor office for the needs of detecting guests / people who will visit the service office, the person can detect his body temperature on the installed device, its function is to minimize physical contact on the when detecting a person's body temperature. The plan is that this tool is designed, unlike the Thermal Gun which is usually used where the temperature checker is still near us, with this tool the officer does not carry out inspections, we just install it on the wall, with a motion detector, a person's temperature will be measured.

Abstract

Productivity is needed to compete in the modern retail market which requires the right product at the right time and in the right quantity. This activity aims to increase productivity in Small and Medium Enterprises, one of which is Mamabon. Mamabon SMEs have not been able to fully meet the target market due to limited production capacity so they need machines to increase production. The stages of this activity are in the form of surveys to partner locations, choosing alternative solutions, implementing and evaluating activities. Based on the results of the activity evaluation, the procurement of production machines in this activity was successful in increasing productivity by increasing production capacity by 66.6%, shortening production time and stages.

Abstract

UKM perabot On merupakan UKM yang sedang berkembang, memiliki masalah untuk mencapai keuntungan maksimal. Keuntungan maksimal dapat diperoleh dengan menerapkan metode optimasi dalam melakukan proses produksi yang memiliki keterbatasan dari sumber daya melalui kapasitas produksi. Metode optimasi yang umum digunakan untuk mendapatkan keuntungan maksimal adalah programa linier (Linear Programming). Keuntungan maksimal melalui linear programming dapat diperoleh dengan menggunakan bantuan aplikasi perangkat lunak POM-QM dengan menentukan jumlah produksi untuk setiap produk yang paling potensial. Pada UKM perabot On produk yang paling potensial adalah pintu dan jendela, berdasarkan pengolahan menggunakan POM-QM untuk kendala menggunakan seluruh bahan baku diperoleh keuntungan maksimal sebesar Rp. 3.000.000,- dengan produksi lima unit pintu dan nol unit jendela. Hasil pengolahan menggunakan POM-QM memberikan jumlah unit produksi per hari dan keuntungan yang berbeda dengan kondisi riil. Penetapan model matematik pada kasus UKM Perabot On harus dikaji ulang sehingga dapat membantu UKM berkembang dimasa datang.

Abstract

Sayyid Madu is an MSME that sells products in the form of quality pure honey which was founded in 2021. This business started with selling trigona honey and apis dorsata honey online, and received a good response from consumers. The good response was especially for the type of trigona honey. This causes the demand for trigona honey to increase rapidly so that better trigona honey-producing bee cultivation techniques are needed. The goal is to get the best quality and increase production capacity. Trigona honey also has the potential to reach national and international markets due to its efficacy in medical cases. As cultivation developed, the number of trigona bee colonies increased from 7 colonies with honey production of approximately 10 kg/month, at the beginning of January there was an addition of 20 colonies. The increase in this colony is expected to produce honey with more production than usual. To produce lots and lots of quality Trigona honey, breeders must have super colonies, namely colonies with large numbers, dense density, aggressiveness and very active activity. The colony of course requires nectar-producing plant vegetation, namely all plants that have flowers. The yield depends on the spring in the forest area where the bees nest. The main problem faced by Sayyid madu SMEs is Trigona honey production which is still minimal and inconsistent. The lack of production of trigona bee honey is caused by food sources that are less available in nature. In addition, the harvesting equipment that is owned is still lacking so that it can hamper harvesting and affect the quality of the honey produced. There are three alternative solutions implemented in this PKM, namely: (1) making artificial vegetation on residential land, (2) procuring dynamo-based manual nectar suction equipment, and (3) logs for beehives.

Abstract

PT ABC merupakan perusahaan 3PL (Third Party Logistic) yang menyediakan jasa outsourcing layanan logistik kepada perusahaan atau individu untuk melakukan satu atau lebih sebuah fungsi yang berada di dalam rantai pasokan. Salah satu kegiatan dari manajemen rantai pasokan yang ada di gudang X retail PT ABC adalah bagian inventory untuk kegiatan cycle counting. Cycle counting merupakan proses validasi akurasi persediaan barang secara terus menerus secara harian atau mingguan atau bulanan atau tahunan, sehingga setiap barang yang dimiliki dapat dihitung beberapa kali dalam satu tahun. Permasalahan yang terjadi di gudang X PT ABC adalah seringnya terjadi perbedaan jumlah stok fisik dengan stok pada system (discrepancy) divisi inventory di gudang X PT ABC. Metode cycle counting didasarkan pada kategori kecepatan keluar masuk suatu barang. Terdapat empat kategori yaitu barang yang memiliki kecepatan keluar masuk gudang tinggi berkategori fast-moving, barang yang memiliki kecepatan keluar masuk gudang rendah berkategori slow-moving, barang yang memiliki keluar masuk gudang sangat rendah berkategori non-moving, dan barang yang memiliki kecepatan keluar masuk gudang nihil berkategori potential dead stock. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengevaluasi kegiatan cycle counting pada gudang X PT ABC dengan metode sampling stratifikasi dengan memperhatikan tingkat akurasi, frekuensi perhitungan persediaan, dan jumlah sampling per frekuensi. Hasil perhitungan menggunakan metode cycle counting di gudang X PT ABC memiliki tingkat akurasi yang tinggi yaitu 98,83 dengan frekuensi perhtingan siklus 200 kali dan jumlah sampling per frekuensi 22583 items.

Abstract

Sayyid Madu merupakan UMKM yang memproduksi madu Trigona sp. berkualitas yang berdiri pada tahun 2021. Sayyid Madu memproduksi madu Dorsata, Galo-galo dan Melifera yang dipanen langsung dari hutan yang berada di Wilayah Sumatera Barat dengan hasil panen 100-200 kg. Produk madu Sayyid Madu masih memiliki kadar air yang tinggi. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi UMKM Sayyid Madu saat ini yaitu bagaimana memenuhi kriteria pelanggan besar yang memiliki harapan bahwa madu yang dihasilkan harus memenuhi kriteria Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI) dan Standar Ekspor terutama untuk Madu Dorsata yang merupakan madu dengan permintaan terbanyak. Produk madu Dorsata dan madu Galo-galo masih memiliki tingkat kadar air yang tinggi untuk diterima pasar nasional dan internasional, sedangkan Madu Melifera sudah memenuhi kriteria kadar air SNI dan ekspor di ambang batas terbawah. Saat ini Sayyid Madu masih belum mampu melakukan tindakan untuk memenuhi kriteria kadar air. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut tim dosen Politeknik ATI Padang menawarkan bantuan penyelesaian permasalahan untuk menurunkan kadar air tersebut. Usulan penyelesaian permasalahan oleh tim dosen Politeknik ATI Padang yaitu dengan merancang ruang/kabinet kedap udara yang mampu menurunkan kadar air madu dengan metode dehumidifier, karena ideal untuk menjaga kualitas madu dibandingkan metode menggunakan panas. Berdasarkan hasil pengukuran kadar air, Ruang/kabinet yang dibuat mampu menurunkan kadar air hingga memenuhi standar ekspor pada rentang 17-20%.
