Abstract

Writer identification is a sub-field in handwriting recognition which its objective is to determine the identity of the writer based on handwriting input. The goal is usually for forensic purposes such as finding the perpetrators of crimes that leave traces of evidence in the form of written messages. In addition, writer identification can also be used to determine the identity of a historical actor if he or she leaves a valuable written artefact. The object of this research is the traditional character of the Lampung region which is so-called Had Lampung by the local community. The traditional character of Lampung consists of 20 main characters and 12 diacritics. Based on selected characters, the writer will be recognized using the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) feature. PCA is one linear feature extraction method of an object in pattern recognition. The PCA algorithm consists of several stages, namely the calculation of the average dataset, the subtraction of the vector dataset with averages, the calculation of covariance, the calculation of eigenvectors and eigenvalues, eigenvector reduction, and the projection of the dataset against reduced eigenvector space. PCA in this paper is used as a feature in image recognition. The dataset utilized in this study is the Lampung Dataset which is a handwritten character recognition (HWCR) dataset. Lampung Dataset consists of 82 Lampung handwritten documents. All Lampung character images in the dataset were extracted from these documents using the connected component extraction algorithm and eventually generated 32,140 images. Furthermore, these images are converted into grayscale images. In this research, as many as 12,500 grayscale images of Lampung handwriting characters were chosen to represent 82 different writers. This data is employed as training and testing data on the proposed method. The highest accuracy of the identification of the writer using this PCA feature is 82.92%, while the lowest accuracy is 28.29%.

Abstract

Mushroom Kumbung is a house to take care of mushroom baglog and grow mushrooms, made from bamboo or wood. This Kumbung must have the ability to maintain the temperature and humidity of the mushroom so that it grows optimally. Control of the condition of mushroom kumbung is usually done manually, by spraying water on the mushroom baglog. This is less effective when a farmer has many kumbung, especially if far from his home. This requires a technology that can control and monitor the temperature and humidity of the kumbung. This research designs Internet of Things (IoT) technology for smart kumbung systems to condition their temperature and humidity. This research method is experimental with a quantitative approach. This study tried Thingspeak as an IoT platform with NodeMCU as its microcontroller. The sensor used for sensing humidity and temperature is DHT22 with an actuator is a sprayer, a blower and a lamp. Realtime temperature and humidity monitoring data can be accessed through an internet browser. The system works functionally according to the desired work design. Error value from the reading of the DHT22 sensor with a Digital Thermometer Hygrometer measuring instrument is still in the working area of DHT22.

Abstract

This study provides an overview of the quality of six state University website services in Bandar Lampung which refered to three dimensions, website usability, information quality, and interaction quality website. This study also used the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) method to determine the level of user satisfaction. In addition, to improve the usability of a website, website performance testing was performed using automatic tools. The result of this research find that the quality of website services is influenced by the content on the website. The result of CSI analysis on the website of state Universities in Bandar Lampung are satisfied with the website service at each state University in Bandar Lampung. Based on the results of the usability evaluation using automatic tools on the website, it is known that the website of state Universities in Bandar Lampung is good enough as evidenced by the page load time value which was less the three seconds.Keywords: Quality of Website Service, WebQual, CSI, UsabilityPenelitian ini mengkaji kualitas layanan pada enam website universitas negeri di Bandar Lampung dengan menggunakan metode Webqual yang merujuk pada 3 hal yaitu – website usability, kualitas informasi dan kualitas interaksi website. Kepuasan pengguna diukur menggunakan metode Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI). Untuk meningkatkan website usability dilakukan website performance tes menggunakan alat otomatis. Hasil dari penelitian ini memperlihatkan kualitas layanan website dipengaruhi oleh konten website. Sedangkan hasil Analisa CSI pada website universitas negeri di Bandar Lampung adalah memuaskan untuk setiap website universitas tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi usability, website universitas negri di Bandar Lampung menunjukkan sudah cukup baik dengan waktu load halaman kurang dari tiga detik.Kata Kunci: Kualitas Layanan Website, WebQual, CSI, Usability

Abstract

Abstract: The high level of student’s statistics anxiety  affects the performance of students in the study of statistics. The measurement of statistical anxiety is still rarely done, and the measurement results are also vary.  This study explores the level of student's statistical anxiety in the Islamics Education undergraduate program at UIN Walisongo Semarang who took the statistics course in the odd semester of 2020/2021. Research respondents were 70 people. To measure the level of anxiety of statistics students, an instrument of measurement that is used is the Statistical Anxiety Rating Scale (STARS) at the three factors first, namely: Test and class anxiety, Interpretation Anxiety, and Fear of Asking for Help. Observations carried out by way of filling the questionnaire by the students, and analysis of data using analysis of statistics descriptive. Results of the study showed the levels of statistics anxiety for undergraduate student at the Islamic Study of UIN Walisongo Semarang is an amount to 31%. The factors that most trigger statistical anxiety are tests and class activity. If differentiated by the type of sex, then a student of women experiencing anxiety statistics are more substantial than the students of men.Abstrak: Tingginya level kecemasan statistika (statistics anxiety) mahasiswa mempengaruhi performa mahasiswa dalam belajar statistika. Pengukuran kecemasan statistika masih jarang dilakukan, dan hasil pengukurannya juga beragam. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi level kecemasan statistika mahasiswa pada program sarjana PAI UIN Walisongo Semarang yang mengambil matakuliah statistika pada semester gasal 2020/2021. Responden penelitiannya adalah 70 orang. Untuk mengukur level kecemasan statistika mahasiswa, instrumen pengukuran yang digunakan adalah  Statistical Anxiety Rating Scale (STARS) dengan dengan tiga faktor pertama, yaitu:, Test and class anxiety, Interpretation Anxiety, dan Fear of Asking for Help. Observasi dilakukan dengan cara pengisian kuesioner oleh mahasiswa, dan analisis data menggunakan analisis statistika deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan level kecemasan statistika mahasiswa program sarjana PAI UIN Walisongo Semarang adalah sebesar 31%. Faktor yang paling memicu kecemasan statistika adalah ujian dan kegiatan perkuliahan (Test and Class Anxiety). Jika dibedakan berdasarkan jenis kelamin, maka mahasiswa perempuan mengalami kecemasan statistika yang lebih besar dibandingkan mahasiswa laki-laki.

Abstract

Indonesia sebagai salah satu negara tropis memiliki potensi hayati yang sangat besar. Salah satu potensi yang banyak dimiliki di Indonesia adalah tumbuhan obat. Salah satu cara mengenali jenis tumbuhan obat yaitu melalui bentuk fisik daun. Implementasi teknologi yang saat ini banyak berkembang, maka masyarakat akan banyak terbantu dalam mengenali tumbuhan obat disekitarnya. Gambar atau citra daun tanaman obat digunakan sebagai data yang mewakili jenis tumbuhan obat tertentu. Data yang digunakan merupakan data yang telah diberikan perlakuan khusus dalam pengambilan gambar atau citra. Praprosesing dilakukan pada data yang didapat sebagai langkah awal pemrosesan data. Pada penelitian ini, data yang digunakan merupakan data primer dengan total 2000 data. Data yang digunakan dibagi menjadi 1800 data latih, 160 data validasi dan 200 data testing. Data training digunakan untuk membentuk pola model. Model selanjutnya di validasi dengan menggunakan data validasi. Model dibangun menggunakan Convulution Neural Network yang merupakan varian dari Artificial Neural Network. Hasil akurasi penelitian 82.5% dengan kecepatan pembangunan model dengan 10 epoch adalah 139 second per epoch.

Abstract

Tingkat kejahatan pencurian yang meningkat dan sumber energi yang semakin sedikit. Membuat kita harus lebih memperhatikan aspek keamanan dan penggunaan sumber daya yang berlebihan. Smart Room atau ruangan pintar adalah ruangan yang benda-benda di dalam ruangan tersebut dikendalikan secara mudah dan efisien oleh penggunanya. Dengan konsep teknologi Internet of Things ruang pintar dapat mengirim, menerima dan merespon informasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah membangun sebuah Smart Room System (Ruang Pintar), yang dapat dikendalikan dari jarak jauh menggunakan aplikasi android. sistem ini dibuat untuk memudahkan pengguna dalam mengontrol alat elektronik dan memonitoring keadaan ruangan, selanjutnya sistem diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keamanan ruangan. Pengujian dilakukan terhadap prototype ruangan, yang memiliki dua pintu dilengkapi dengan keypad dan LED diluar dan sensor di dalam, kemudian memiliki dua buah lampu, sensor suhu, dan kamera pengawas. Dari hasil pengujian yang telah dilakukan, sistem dapat mengontrol lampu ruangan, mengirim informasi mengenai suhu, kelembapan, kemudian memberikan peringatan alarm dan memotret objek asing yang masuk ruangan saat sistem keamanan aktif

Abstract

Semakin meningkatnya penggunaan komputer pada kehidupan sehari-hari, membuat semakin banyak kebutuhan penyimpanan data. Untuk mengatasinya, telah dikembangkan berbagai algoritma kompresi yang digunakan untuk memampatkan data, salah satunya adalah Algoritma LZW. Algoritma ini melakukan kompresi dengan menggunakan dictionary, di mana fragmen-fragmen teks digantikan dengan indeks yang diperoleh dari sebuah “kamus”. Dari aplikasi kompresi yang dibuat dengan Algoritma LZW, didapatkan hasil pengujian terhadap 40 file berjenis *.doc, *.txt, *.rtf, *.html yaitu file jenis *.doc memiliki rasio kompresi paling rendah

Abstract

Tujuan dilaksanakannya kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberdayakan kreativitas guru SMPN Karimunjawa, Kabupaten Jepara dalam Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka sehingga mempunyai keterampilan dalam adaptasi teknologi. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini antara lain ceramah, latihan, tanya jawab, pemberian tugas, diskusi, dan juga pendampingan dalam sosialisasi dan mengenal aplikasi Lumi untuk membuat media pembelajaran video dan buku interaktif. Dalam kegiatan ini guru telah telah memperoleh sosialisasi dan mengenal aplikasi Lumi untuk membuat media pembelajaran video dan buku interaktif, dan melalui penugasan guru telah berhasil merancang media pembelajaran video dan buku interaktif dengan aplikasi Lumi, aplikasi ini dapat di akses melalui laman app.lumi.education. Berdasarkan evaluasi dan diskusi terkait hasil pengabdian yang telah dilakukan, kegiatan pengabdian memperoleh respon berupa antusias yang tinggi dari para guru dalam praktik merancang media pembelajaran interaktif dengan didampingi tim pengabdi sesuai dengan mata pelajaran yang diampu masing-masing. Hasil rancangan media pembelajaran interaktif dapat digunakan secara berulang, diakses secara mudah serta berguna untuk menambah pemahaman peserta didik. Selain itu pemanfaatan media ini juga membuat pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik dan interaktif, sehingga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan minat dan motivasi peserta didik yang bermuara pada peningkatan hasil belajar. Diharapkan guru senantiasa berkreasi dalam membelajarkan di kelas karena perkembangan zaman dan teknologi yang selalu dinamis.

Abstract

This study presents the development and implementation of an IoT-based monitoring and control system for air conditioners (AC) at PT XYZ. Leveraging the capabilities of Node MCU ESP8266, relay modules, and DHT11 temperature sensors, the proposed system enables real-time monitoring of AC status and room temperature. It also facilitates control over individual and multiple AC units, thereby enhancing operational efficiency. The system’s design focuses on energy efficiency, aiming to reduce unnecessary power consumption by ensuring that AC units are active only when needed. The system includes features for monitoring the AC’s on/off status and providing historical temperature data through graphical charts. This real-time data display allows users to track temperature trends and make informed decisions regarding AC operation. The prototype approach employed in this research involves several stages: communication with stakeholders, planning, modeling, prototype development, deployment, and iterative feedback. Testing results indicate that the system effectively meets the research objectives by providing accurate temperature readings and reliable AC control. Compared to existing solutions, this system offers enhanced functionality and integration, contributing to energy savings and improved management of AC units. This research contributes to the field by addressing gaps identified in previous studies and demonstrating the practical application of IoT technology in energy management for air conditioning systems.
