Abstract

Study about the influence of the aethanolic extract of Annona muricata L on male mice induced by high fat diet and propylthiouracil has been done. The aethanolic extract of Annona muricata L was given orally one a day for 7, 14, and 21 days. The doses used were 2, 6, 18 mg/20 g body weight respectively. Negative control group was given standard food. Parameters were measured blood levels of LDL. Result showed that the giving of the aethonalic extract of Annona muricata could decrease blood levels of LDL significantly (p> 0.05). Whereas the factors of the days does not show significantly (p> 0.05).

Abstract

Research on the effect of ethanol extract of  ketepeng cina (Cassia alata L.) on bleeding time, blood clotting and platelet count male white mice. Extracts ketepeng cina (Cassia alata L.) given to male white mice that had been induced with phenytoin natrium. Animal experiment is divided into 4 groups, each group consisted of  5 mice. Group 1 (control) was given phenytoin natrium at a dose of 100 mg/kg BW, group II given ketepeng cina extract dose of 100 mg/kg BW,  group III given ketepeng cina extract dose 300 mg/kg BW, group IV given ketepeng cina extract at a dose of 900 mg/kg BW. Before given phenytoin natrium, groups 1 to 4 were measured prior bleeding time, blood clotting and platelet counts on day 0 as control, then given phenytoin natrium from day 0 to day 14 and continued with the administration of the test substance to-8 to day 21. Effect observased day-to-7, 14,and 21. The results showed the extract of  ketepeng cina (Cassia alata L.) at a dose of 100, 300, and 900 mg/kg BW orally can affect shorten bleeding time, blood clotting and increase the number of platelet male white mice day-to-21 and the most effective dose is the dose of 900 mg/kg BW.

Abstract

Study about the influence of Euphorbia hirta L. leaves’s aethanolic extract on the levels of blood LDL in white male mice has been done. The aethanolic extract of Euphorbia hirta L. was given orally once a day for 7 th, 14 th and 21 th days.The doses used were 2, 6, 18 mg/ 20g body weight respectively. Control group was given standard food. Parameter was measured level of blood LDL. The result show that the aethanolic extract of Euphorbia hirta L. does not influence to the levels of LDL, while the time factor for 7 th, 14 th and 21 th days showed a significant effect (p <0.05).

Abstract

Research about giving influence of combination of chloride (III) chromium with vitamin C to rate kolesterol white mouse blood has been done. Attempt animal is divided by five groups of that is group of control, group given vitamin C 0.52 mg/20 g body weight (BW), group given vitamin C 0.52 mg/20g BW and chromium (III) chloride with dose 5.2; 6.5; and 7.8 g /20g BW. Measurement of cholesterol rate done at day to day 8, 15, and 22 with enzimatis method applies spectrophotometer. Result of research show that giving of combination of chromium (III) chloride at dose 5.2; 6.5; and 7.8 g/20g BW give vitamin C 0.52 mg/20 g BW and give time depth can give influence to rate kolesterol white mouse blood.

Abstract

The research on  this study aims determine the effect of ethanol extract of Ceplukan to renal impairment of white male mice. This plant has many major content of flavonoid and polyphenol which is an antioxidants.. The study is conducted by five treatments i.e. negative control, positive control, dose 375 mg/kgBW, 750 mg/kgBW, and 1,500 mg/kgBW. All groups were induced by gentamicin for 7 days. Serum creatinin level and renal histopathology is determined on days 8 and 16. Serum creatinine level is analyzed by one way ANOVA statistical analysis. It show that there is significant differences between each group (p˂0,05). Renal histopathology analysis shows at doses 1,500 mg/kgBW there are more widespread expansion of the urinary space, repair of glomerulus cells which is  damaged, decrease epithelial cells which is enter into the tubular lumen. It can be concluded that the ethanol extract of ceplukan can repair renal impairment.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to identify the effect of two heavy metals, vanadyl sulphate and chromium (III) chloride on creatinine level of hyperglycemic mice induced by dexamethasone 11mg/kg. The experimental animals were grouped into five groups comprised of 5 white mice. Group I was used as control group, only received standard feeding and food supplement. Group II-V were induced with dexamethasone 11mg/kg to increase the blood glucose level. Group III was also given chromium (III) chloride 5.2 ug/20g. Group IV was also given vanadyl sulphate at the dose of 0.78 mg/20g. Group V received combination of vanadyl sulphate 0.39 mg/20g and chromium (III) chloride 2.6 ug/20g. The level of blood creatininewas determined by enzymatic method conducted for 42 days and observations were taken at day 7, 21 and 42. This study concluded that administration of vanadyl sulphate and chromium (III) chloride combination significantly reduced blood creatinine level of white mice (p<0,05).

Abstract

A study on the effect of Fibroblast Growth factor (FGF) derived from fertilized chicken egg on blood glucose level in hyperglycemia mice induced by alloxan has been done. FGF taken from fertilized chicken egg white, the egg white dried with Freeze dryer method and powdered into flour. The egg powdered was tested quantitatively by ELISA (The Enzimed-Link immunosorbent assay ) method to determine the levels of FGF contained therein. And then, FGF was given to hyperglycemia mice induced alloxan. Blood glucose levels were observed periodically every week for 4 weeks after administration of FGF preparations. The results found, the levels of FGF in fertilized chicken egg white powder contained about 219 ng / L and the induction of FGF to hyperglycemia mice were able to improve blood glucose levels in mice hyperglycemia.

Abstract

 Infeksi tali pusat (ompalitis) adalah infeksi paling umum pada tali pusat bayi. Mandi dan perawatan tali pusat bayi sesuai dengan Prosedur Operasi Standar (SOP) adalah salah satu cara untuk mencegah ompalitis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh penerapan standar mandi dan perawatan tali pusat dengan insiden ompalitis pada bayi. Metode penelitian kuasi eksperimental. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik accidental sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Mann Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penerapan standar mandi dan perawatan tali pusat berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kejadian ompalitis (p=0,03). Studi ini merekomendasikan agar memandikan dan perawatan tali pusat sesuai SOP sebagai cara mengurangi kejadian ompalitis pada bayi.
