Abstract

Proses menua merupakan proses sepanjang hidup, dimulai dari awal kehidupan. Menjadi tua merupakan proses alamiah, yang berarti seseorang telah melalui tiga tahap kehidupannya, yaitu anak, dewasa, dan tua yang telah ditentukan oleh Tuhan Yang Maha Esa.Risiko jatuh yang dapat menyebabkan cidera bagi lansia, jatuh pada lansia adalah suatu masalah utama yang sering dialami oleh lansia. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubingan aktifitas fisik dengan rsiko jatuh pada lansia. Metodelogi penelitian Cross sectional dengan jumlah sampel 75 lansia, teknik sampling purposive. Pengukuran aktifitas fisik menggunakan kuesioner IPAQ ( International Physical Activity Questionnaire) dan Morse fall scale untuk risiko jatuh .Didapatkan hasil distribusi aktifitas fisik lansia Ringan 31 (41,3%), Sedang 25 (33,3%) dan Berat 19 (25,3%) sedangkan Tingkat risiko jatuh 28 (37.3%) Tidak Berisiko, 24 (32%) Risiko rendah dan 23 (30%) Risiko Tinggi. Analisis Chi Square dengan p value 0,005 (<0,05) diinterpretasikan ada hubungan antaktifitas fisik dengan risiko jatuh.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengekstraksi zat warna yang terkandung pada rumput laut merah dari jenis Gracillaria salicornia yang berasal dari perairan Pulau Enggano. Metode yang dilakukan dalam mengekstraksi yaitu dengan menggunakan larutan buffer fosfat dengan berbagai variasi rentang pH yaitu pH 5,6,7,8 dan 9. Kemudian akan dilihat serapan tertinggi dari zat warna Gracillaria salicornia pada variasi pH tersebut. Analisis gugus fungsi yang terdapat pada ekstrak diidentifikasi dengan menggunakan Spektrofotometer Fourier Transform Infra Red (FTIR). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak zat warna Gracillaria salicornia mengandung senyawa fikoeretrin. Ekstrak Gracillaria salicornia dalam larutan asam hingga basa berwarna kuning kecoklatan dengan nilai absorbansi tertinggi pada pH 9. Serapan maksimum ekstrak Gracillaria salicornia berada pada panjang gelombang 210 nm. Berdasarkan hasil FTIR, memberikan indikasi ada empat jenis senyawa dalam ekstrak dan memiliki gugus fungsi yakni gugus hidroksi bebas dan terikat ikatan hidrogen serta gugus C=O.1Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Bengkulu

Abstract

Indonesia sebagai negara yang beriklim tropis dengan tingkat penyinaran matahari yang panas, menyebabkan kulit menjadi kering dan kurang lentur.Salah satu tumbuhan yang mempunyai banyak manfaat adalah wortel (Daucus carota L) yang mengandung vitamin A,Betakaroten, vitamin C, dan vitamin K yang bermanfaat untuk menjaga kelembapan kulit, melembutkan kulit, dan menghambat timbulnya kerutan pada wajah. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode maserasi, dan pencampuran fase minyak dan fase air. Evaluasi sediaanmeliputi uji organoleptis, homogenitas sediaan,uji pH, daya tuang serta uji iritasi kulit. Hasil evaluasi dari ketiga formula dengan ekstrak wortel pada konsentrasi yang berbeda yaitu F1 5%, F2 10%, danF3 15% dapat dibuat menjadi sediaan dalam bentuk lotiondan variasi kadar ekstrak dapat mempengaruhi hasil sedian lotion yang didapat.

Abstract

Community Service Activity (CSA) of the application of science and technology entitled "Application of Liquid-Gas Phase Extraction Technology on Development of Kalamansi-Orange-Based Products" has been completed. This activity aims to implement gas-liquid extraction technology, namely steam distillation in extracting essential oils from residues of Kalamansi orange syrup processing, providing knowledge and ways to process Kalamansi orange essential oil into products which have economic value in addition to syrup. It was carried out with the target audience, namely Bhakti Nusa Production Unit in SMKS 16 Bengkulu. It is done to help the production unit to develop Kalamansi-based products by utilizing residues produced by syrup which is rich in essential oils. The products produced on the CSA of the application of science and technology include aromatherapy candles, air freshener gels, anti-mosquito lotions and Bay Tat cakes of Kalamansi jam. The product produced is more widely informed through the socialization activity that received a response and enthusiasm from the audience. Products of CSA of the application of science and technology are expected to be a superior product from the Bhakti Nusa Production Unit of SMKS 16 Pharmacy as well as to be a top-quality product of the pride of Bengkulu City with high economic value. Keywords: Extraction, Liqiud-Gas, Kalamansi, Essential oil

Abstract

Telang flower plant (Clitoria ternatea) is a leguminous plant belonging to the Fabaceae family, containing bioactive compounds that are useful for treatment. Its ability as a biologically active compound gives a great role to human interests. Phenolic compounds have a positive correlation with antioxidant activity, so that polyphenols are probably the compounds that have the most potential to contribute anti-radical activity in telang flower. Telang flower extract has many properties so it is used as a traditional medicine for several diseases. A number of studies have shown that flavonoids have antiviral, anti-allergic, antiplatelet, antidiabetic, diuretic, anti-inflammatory, antitumor, and antioxidant activities. The phytochemical content of telang flower which is efficacious as antidiabetic / antihyperglycemic is saponins and flavonoids. Based on this, a preliminary study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of ethanol extract of telang flower (Clitoria ternatea) against antihyperglycemic in male rabbits. This type of research is a laboratory experiment. Telang flower powder simplicia (Clitoria ternatea) was extracted using the maceration method. Telang flower (Clitoria ternatea) ethanol extract was made in 3 concentrations, namely 2%, 3% and 4%. Antohyperglycemic effectiveness test used 3 groups, namely negative control (without treatment), positive control (Glibenclamide), ethanol extract of telang flower (Clitoria ternatea) 2%, 3% and 4%, against 4 white rabbits weighing 3-3.5 kg and given sucrose, carried out until the 8th day. The data were statistically processed using One Way ANOVA (Analysis Of Variant). In conclusion, giving ethanol extract of telang flower (Clitoria ternatea) with concentrations of 2%, 3%, and 4% at 60 minutes gave an effective and significant reduction in blood glucose levels compared to negative control and positive control.

Abstract

Each skin care product has different active ingredients. In fact, Natural skin care products also contain their own active ingredients ingredients. The ingredients used in making skin care must pay attention to the safety of the user. This is not uncommon in skin care Products in circulation contain dangerous chemicals such as mercury, hydroquinone, speech, lead, etc. Pharmacy Technical personnel and pharmacists have an important role in this matter detecting harmful ingredients in skin care. Therefore, D3 Pharmacy Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Bengkulu University of Science with Lentera Nakes as a form of community service, there is an online socialization of the National Pharmacy Seminar which will be held will be held on December 10, 2023 at 10.00 until it ends theme of Competency of Pharmaceutical Technical Personnel and Pharmacists in Detecting Dangerous Ingredients for Skin Care. This seminar can have a big impact on competency from the participants and understanding of dangerous ingredients in cosmetics

Abstract

Daun cengkeh merupakan bagian dari tanaman cengkeh yang jarang sekali dimanfaatkan berbanding sebaliknya dengan bunga cengkeh yang lebih dominan digunakan. Daun cengkeh mengandung komponenfenolik yang tinggi yaitu senyawa eugenol 70%-80% senyawa ini bersifat antibakteri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui formulasi sediaan gel dari ekstrak etanol 96% daun cengkeh (Syzygium aromaticumL.) dan untuk melihat karakteristik dari sediaan gel ekstrak etanol 96% daun cengkeh (Syzygium aromaticumL.). Pembuatan ekstrak etanol 96% daun cengkeh menggunakan metoda maserasi. Sediaan gel dibuat dengan variasi konsentrasi ekstrak F0 (0%), F1 (10%), F2 (20%), F3 (30%). Selanjutnya dilakukan evaluasi sifat fisik meliputi uji organoleptis, uji homogenitas, uji pH, uji daya sebar, uji viskositas, dan uji stabilitas yang dilakukan selama 4 minggu. Hasil pengujian randemen ekstrak yang diperoleh adalah 14,37%. Uji pH menunjukkan gel memiliki rata-rata pH berkisar antara 4,62 - 6,01; uji daya sebar berkisar antara 5,6-7 cm; uji viskositas berkisar antara 6.256,45 – 8.232,63 cps; dan uji stabilitas yang dilakukan pada suhu 25oC–30oC selama 4 minggu menunjukkan sediaan gel stabil.

Abstract

The World Health Organization (WHO) has established Covid-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) as a public health emergency of international concern (Public Health International Concern) which carries a risk of transmission between countries. Cases of Covid-19 have been identified since February 26 2020 in Indonesia. The spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus as the cause of Covid-19 disease is increasingly becoming massive throughout the world, including in Indonesia, it has even entered Bengkulu Province. The ferocity of this virus in attacking the respiratory tract has caused thousands of medical and paramedical personnel and even civil society to suffer and die. The method of this community service activity is the method of providing training on vaccine CDOB materials and practices and managing the vaccine cold chain. Then monitoring of the vaccine distribution process was carried out after training for officers. Finally, an evaluation was carried out with a pretest and filling in the vaccine distribution report by the officer. This activity was carried out with 3 students. The next activity is that on October 30, 2021 an online evaluation will be carried out by filling out a Google form to see the level of understanding of the Bengkulu City Health Service Pharmacy Warehouse employees regarding Proper Vaccine Storage and Distribution. The evaluation results obtained showed a good score where all participants received maximum scores. The Community Service Activity on Training on Proper Storage and Distribution of Vaccines to Employees of the Bengkulu City Health Service Pharmacy Warehouse has been carried out well and received a very good response from the participants. It is recommended to conduct other trainings that can improve health, both in the health environment and to the wider community.Keyword : Vaccine, Covid-19, Department of Health

Abstract

Asam urat merupakan produk metabolisme dari purin yang dikonversi oleh enzim xanthine oxidase didalam tubuh. Peningkatan kadar asam urat dalam darah karena metabolisme purin yang berlebihan dapat mengakibatkan penumpukan kristal monosodium urat pada persendian yang memicu terjadinya  penyakit gout. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memprediksi potensi senyawa aktif pada herbal famili apiaceae yang dapat menghambat kerja enzim xanthine oxidase. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara in silico dengan menggunakan aplikasi Autodock Tools 1.5.6. Docking molecular dilakukan dengan ukuran pusat penambatan molekul pada x = 95,226; y = 47,251; z = 112, 78 dengan volume x, y, dan z = 40. Struktur kristal enzim xanthine oxidase dengan kode 3BDJ sebagai makromolekul dan sebagai ligan uji 10 senyawa aktif Famili Apiaceae. Dari hasil penelitian secara in silico didapatkan bahwa senyawa aktif pada tanaman seledri (Apium graveolens) yaitu apigenin memiliki potensi sebagai anti asam urat karena dari hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa senyawa ini memiliki nilai energi ikatan -10,28 dimana nilainya lebih baik dibandingkan dengan ligan uji lainnya termasuk pada senyawa pembanding alupurinol,  nilai Ki-nya 29,31nM, memiliki 2 ikatan hidrogen dan terikat pada 10 residu asam amino.

Abstract

Sungkai (Peronema canescens Jack) was used traditionally as a medicine to help relieve fever, malaria and flu. In general, people was used sungkai leaves in the form as infusion. This study was aimed to screening of secondary metabolite of Sungkai leaf infusion using the color reaction method. The sample in this study was sungkai leaf that obtained from Bengkulu city. The infusion was obtained by boiling 10 gram of sungkai leaf simplicia with 100 ml of distilled water for 15 minutes at 90 0C until a concentration of 10% (w/v) was obtained. Secondary metabolite screening was carried out using the color reaction method to identify alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins and steroids. Phytochemical screening using specific reagents with the test was repeated three times. The results were showed that sungkai leaves infusion was positive in alkaloid test as evidenced by the presence of white precipitate with Mayer reagent, brown precipitate with Wagner reagent, and orange precipitate with Dragendorff reagent. Positive results were also shown in flavonoid, saponin and tannin tests. While, negative result was seen in steroid test using Liebermann Burchard reagent. In this study it can be concluded that sungkai leaf infusion positively contains alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins and tannins.
