Abstract

Resor Hotel becomes the most important and unseparated part of tourism. Every region which has its own tourism destination is usually supported by good accommodation, one of it is resor hotel, it can be seen from popular tourism destination in Indonesia, such as Bali or Lombok,besides having beautiful beach panorama, both islands are also have many Resor Hotel with unique concept and design,  which becomes the main attraction for tourist. Besides Bali and Lombok actually there is a lot of coastal tourism potentials owned by another regional areas in Indonesia, but not exposed yet, one of them in West Sumatera. In West Sumatra, there is a new tourist area named Mandeh Tourim Area, this area is located in the south coast of West Sumatera, and located next to the Indian Ocean, although it has beautiful natural panorama, the accomodation in this area is still incomplete, one of it is the Resor Hotel that good enough to accommodate activiteies there, based on that phenomenon the urgent problem is how to plan Resor Hotel concept that can accommodate the number of visitors coming to Mandeh Tourim Area, and also feature characteristic of West Sumatra culture, as promotion of West Sumatera culture out. Regionalism Architecture used as design approaches in a way to show off West Sumatera culture to tourist that come by, thus this Resor Hotel can give tourist a new vision and knowledge about West Sumatera culture, this culture usually shown in building shape that have unique character, such as shape of the roof, carving wall, and building material, these character will applied in Resor Hotel design Key Word : Mandeh Tourism Area , Regianlism Architecture,  Resort Hotel

Abstract

Nowadays, culinary tourism  is growing very rapidly. Eating and drinking are not only a basic need but also become one of the tourist destinations. Solo city is one of the cities that have potential in the development of culinary tourism. Solo city that has its own identity as a city of culture, has also been named as the first rank cities culinary tourism destinations in Indonesia. The government also has a plan to increase the culinary center at Solo in the year 2017-2019. The planned culinary center have to maintain a culinary hallmark of of Solo, so the plan  need methods to achieve those goals. Therefore, the approach used as a metaphor of architecture appropriate method in the design of container culinary tourism. Architectural metaphor used is combined metaphor which combination of tangible metaphor and intangible metaphor.Tangible metaphor will be applied in the form of forms that act as a culinary hallmark visualization Solo with the aim to attract visitors, while intangible metaphor will be applied as forming distinctive atmosphere is non-visual to reinforce the impression of the culinary Solo. Keywords: Culinary Tourism, Food Tourism, Intangible Metaphor Architecture, Metaphor Architecture, Tangible Metaphor Architecture

Abstract

Abstract: - Globalization and technological development impact on all sectors, one of which is an graphic design activity. Shift function graphic design, the development of design services and the emergence of community graphic design is the impact. The background design of Graphic Design Center By Metaphore Architectural Approach Case Study In Yogyakarta is the number of service providers graphic design that require a space to promotion, communities graphic design in Yogyakarta and the design of the course place that are unreflection the character of graphic design. The purpose is to realize the physical character of graphic design as a place of cultural development and activities of graphic design. The problems design is how to realize the character of graphic design into the physical form of the building. Methods used is the Metaphore Architectural approach to bring up the visual code form the characteristic and element of graphic design into the bulding through the process of analogy. The results obtained is the design of the graphic design center that reflecting the character of graphic design as a place of the development design activities and community of graphic design in Yogyakarta.Key words: Graphic design, visual code, element graphic design, metaphore architecture
