Abstract

This study aims to describe the improvement of teachers' teaching ability, student learning activities, and student learning outcomes in the subjects of English at MTs Negeri Model Sorong. Subjects of this study are English teachers and the eighth grade students of MTs Negeri Model Sorong in Academic Year 2015/2016. This research is a Lesson Study-based School Action Research using a qualitative approach. Data are collected through observation, documentation, and test. The findings are that the application of Lesson Study provides a positive impact on upgrading teachers' professional skills at MTs Negeri Model Sorong. This improvement has an important impact on student motivation and learning outcomes in the English subject.Keywords: Lesson study, teaching ability, learning activities, learning outcome, English

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and examine (1) the relationship of the principal situational leadership with teachers’ performance, (2) the relationship of principal supervision with teachers’ performance, and (3) the relationship of principal situational leadership and supervision all together with the performance of teachers at Madrasah Aliyah in West Papua. This study uses a survey with correlation technique. Research conducted in the province of West Papua, which consists of six districts or cities: Sorong, Manokwari, Fakfak, Raja Ampat, Kaimana, and Sorong. Samples are selected in proportion taking the proportion of the population of teachers in each district or city into account. Data are collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using statistical correlation (simple and double), calculating the coefficient of determination, and testing the significance of the partial correlation. The results show that (1) there is a positive correlation between the teachers’ performance and principal situational leadership; (2) there is a positive relationship between principal supervision and teachers’ performance; and (3) there is a significant relationship and influence of situational leadership and supervision of the principal on teachers’ performance at Madrasah Aliyah in West Papua. In other words, increasing the effectiveness of situational leadership and supervision of the principal would have a positive influence on improving the performance of teachers in the madrassas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis persepsi mahasiswa UPBJJ-UT Ternate atas kualitas pembelajaran di Universitas Terbuka dengan evaluasi Kirkpatrick, dan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan tujuan untuk mendiskripsikan objek penelitian ataupun hasil penelitian. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Mahasiswa UPBJJ-UT. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah non probability sampling, dengan menggunakan metode proporsional random sampling. Dengan Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 232 mahasiswa yang teregistrasi pada tahun akademik 2020.1. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Dengan Analisis deskriptif kuantitaif. Hasil dari  penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pada Reaction Level, mahasiswa menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan atas kesesuaian materi dengan modul/BMP dan pelayanan administrasi di UT, namun merasa perlu perbaikan pada feedback tutor, keaktifan tutor dalam forum diskusi (tutorial online) dan lemahnya koneksi jaringan internet utamanya di Bobong. Pada Learning Level, mahasiswa puas dengan relevansi materi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Namun mahasiswa merasa sulit mengakses informasi tentang UT di daerah kepulauan. Pada Behavior Level, mahasiswa merasa puas atas proses tutorial di UT baik TTM/Tuton maupun Tuweb, mahasiswa juga tidak ragu membagikan pengalaman tutorialnya kepada orang-orang disekitarnya. Namun yang masih perlu menjadi perhatian UPBJJ-UT Ternate yaitu sarana dan prasarana yang menunjang proses pembelajaran utamanya di daerah kepulauan seperti Bobong. Pada Result Level, mayoritas mahasiswa merasa pengetahuan maupun pengalaman mereka meningkat setelah mengikuti tutorial.

Abstract

Objective conditions that occur in schools, where teachers in carrying out teaching tasks without good planning certainly cannot create conducive learning conditions for improving the quality of student learning processes and outcomes. To improve such conditions, it can be done by carrying out teacher development through the implementation of academic supervision in the hope that teachers have the will to continuously improve their competency feasibility. The problems studied are (1) how is the model for fostering junior teachers in order to make a learning implementation plan oriented to active student learning, (2) how is the coaching model for junior teachers in order to implement a learning implementation plan oriented to active student learning, (3) whether the development of junior teachers through the implementation of academic supervision can improve the ability of teachers to make lesson plans oriented to active learning models, and (4) whether the development of junior teachers through the implementation of academic supervision can improve the ability of teachers to implement lesson plans that well made. The results of the data analysis show that: (1) the development of junior teachers carried out through the implementation of academic supervision can improve the ability of teachers to make learning implementation plans oriented to the active learning model, and (2) the development of junior teachers through the implementation of academic supervision. improve the ability of teachers to carry out learning based on a well-made lesson plan.

Abstract

Communication which is an important requirement in human life is not limited to certain groups. This need is needed by every human being from the time he is born until the end of time. Deaf people prefer to form groups and gather together to get comfort when meeting and chatting with each other. The research was conducted by applying a qualitative research method based on a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques in the form of interviews and observations to obtain relative and objective information. Interviews were conducted with four informants, namely: the head of the Ternate City Deaf Association, two Teachers who implement the SIBI language in the field of Education (Ternate City Special School) and one member of the General Public. The data analysis techniques used are literature study, data collection, drawing conclusions from FGD data), needs analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. Based on the results of the research, the main problem that occurs is the lack of interest and digital-based communication tools which are quite a big problem in helping the listening community in carrying out social interactions. And the results of making an application by applying the CNN analysis method to the Talk me application obtained quite good results and were close to the maximum results, the application sensitivity feasibility trials obtained quite good results and were close to the maximum value, the average score for 50 trials was 0, 913793, where the data will be said to be very good if the trial value is close to 1, and for the loss value (not sensitive) the average is 0.04265

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of the Pentagon dimension of fraud on academic fraud. The sample in this study was UPBJJ-UT Ternate students who were conducting lectures during the Covid-19 period as many as 134 respondents. The sampling technique in this study used a saturated sample. Methods of data collection using a questionnaire (questionnaire). Data analysis using path coefficient analysis with the help of the Smart PLS program. Based on the results of the research above, it can be concluded that 1) academic pressure affects academic fraud behavior; 2) opportunity does not affect academic fraud behavior; 3) rationalization affects academic fraud behavior; 4) the ability to influence academic fraud behavior; 5) personal ethics affect academic fraud behavior; Meanwhile, religiosity as a moderator does not affect the relationship between pressure, opportunity, rationalization, ability and personal ethics with academic fraud behavior. Although not large, based on the results of multi-group analysis, religiosity is proven to be moderate which will reduce the level of academic fraud. Religious students are more likely not to commit academic fraud, even though they are under pressure, have opportunities, rationalization, have abilities, and their ethics are still low. Efforts to prevent academic fraud that can be carried out at UPBJJ-UT Ternate include socialization activities that are classified as fraud and the sanctions, convincing students that fraud will be caught and will be announced, ensuring students are not in a situation where they work by fraud, showing evidence that all fraud is proven will be penalized, train students to be able to write without fraud and encourage students to have pride when acting under ethical teachings.

Abstract

Takofi merupakan kelurahan yang berada pada Pulau Moti dan masih masuk dalam wilayah administrasi Kota Ternate. Pendidikan di Takofi masih tertinggal dibandingkan desa-desa lain yang ada di pusat kota. Hal itu dikarenakan jarak antara Takofi dengan pusat kota lumayan jauh. Selain itu, akses internet yang kurang memadai membuat peserta didik tertinggal informasi dalam hal ini mencari materi belajar. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan intelektual dan karakter generasi muda di kelurahan takofi kabupaten pulau moti dengan mitra yaitu SMPN 9 Kota Ternate. Metode pelaksanaan PKM dilakukan dengan: (1) Sosialisasi pendidikan, (2) Pembuatan Pojok Baca. Kegiatan Sosialisasi Pendidikan siswa SMP sangat antusias menyimak materi yang diberikan pemateri bagaimana pentingnya membaca bagi generasi milenial sekarang ini. Acara kemudian dilanjutkan sesi tanya jawab. Berbagai pertanyaan diajukan secara antusias oleh para peserta dalam sesi tanya jawab. Secara garis besar inti dari pertanyaan para peserta adalah: (1) Bagaimana cara mengajak masyarakat desa untuk minat membaca; (2) Apa yang terjadi kalau kita malas membaca buku. Setelah dilaksanakan sosialisasi Pendidikan, kemudian acara berikutnya pembuatan pojok baca. Hal yang pertama dilakukan yaitu penyusunan rak buku yang dilaksanakan oleh dosen dan dibantu guru-guru sekolah. Setelah rak disusun kemudian buku-buku yang terdapat di kardus dikeluarkan kemudian disusun di rak buku tersebut. Kata Kunci: Generasi Muda, Pojok Baca, Sosialiasi Pendidikan
