Abstract

Background: The goal of Antenatal care (ANC) is to prepare for birth and as well as prevent, detect, alleviate, or to manage the health problems during pregnancy that affect mothers and the babies. Approximately 830 women die everyday around the world because of complication related pregnancy or labour with preventable causes. In 2015 maternal mortality rate in Indonesia was 305 deaths per 100.000 live births. Aim: To describe the tendency of pregnant women to go to antenatal care. Methods: This is a descriptive research with cross sectional design model and the data was taken from Health Profile of Bitung City from 2015-2017. Results: There was an increase of K-1 visit about 3,3% and an increase of K-4 visit about 0,1%. The coverage of Fe1 decrease about 1,24% and supplementation of Fe3 decrease about 0,19%. TT1 vaccination increase about 14% and 8% for TT2. Conclusion: The tendency of pregnant women to make K-1 and K-4 pregnancy visits is quite high. Meanwhile, the tendency of pregnant women to get iron (Fe) 1 tablets is quite high, while Fe3 is slightly lower and the tendency to immunize Tetanus toxoid (TT) in Bitung City is still relatively low.

Abstract

Abstract: Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is an infectious disease caused by the dengue virus. As known, DHF is still one of the potentially infectious disease that can cause an outbreaks/extraordinary events (KLB). The main vector of dengue is Aedes aegypti were found both in Indonesia and other subtropical countries. One of the ways to prevent this disease is to break the chain of disease transmission by mosquito nest eradication program (PSN). This study aimed to determine the knowledge of the community in the village of Maen About Dengue Fever. In this study, the method used is the survey method with a descriptive approach. Furthermore, data collected through interviews using questionnaires. The population is all households in the village Maen totaling 365 households. Numbers of samples is determined by simple random sampling with a sample of 90 households. From this study it can be concluded that the knowledge of the people in the village Maen About Dengue overall scores 72.2% and categorized as having good knowledge. Keywords: community, dengue fever, Knowledge, Maen village.     Abstrak: Demam berdarah dengue (DBD) ialah penyakit infeksi yang disebabkan oleh virus dengue. Seperti diketahui bersama, DBD masih merupakan salah satu penyakit menular yang berpotensi wabah / kejadian luar biasa (KLB). Vektor utama DBD ialah aedes aegypti yang ditemukan baik di Indonesia dan negara-negara subtropis lainnya. Salah satu cara mencegah penyakit ini ialah dengan memutus rantai penularan penyakit dengan program pemberantasan sarang nyamuk (PSN). Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui pengetahuan masyarakat di Desa Maen Tentang Demam Berdarah Dengue. Pada penelitian ini, metode yang digunakan ialah metode survey dengan pendekatan secara deskriptif. Selanjutnya,  Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan  wawancara menggunakan kuisioner. Populasi ialah seluruh kepala keluarga di desa Maen yang berjumlah 365 KK. Banyak sampel ditetapkan secara simple random sampling dengan jumlah sampel 90 KK. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan masyarakat di Desa Maen Tentang Demam Berdarah Dengue  secara keseluruhan mendapatkan nilai 72,2% dan dikategorikan baik. Kata Kunci : demam berdarah dengue, desa Maen, masyarakat, Pengetahuan.

Abstract

Background: Coronavirus is a family virus that causes mild to severe illnesses, such as common cold or cold and serious diseases such as MERS and SARS. Its number in Indonesia is the highest in Southeast Asia. Aims: The purpose of this research is to study the distribution of Covid 19 in South Sulawesi Province. Methods: This study uses a collection of literature conducted by collecting, summarizing, and studying the available literature to get conclusions. The method used to collect data consists of library data that has been selected, searched, presented and analysed. Results: The results of the study showed that prevalence Covid-19 in South Sulawesi Province was one of the highest in Indonesia, with the most affected districts were Makassar, Gowa and Maros. The spread of Covid-19 cases in the province of South Sulawesi from March to July 2020 was 20507 cases. The total number of suspects was 11085 and the positive confirmed patients were 9422 cases, while among confirmed cases as many as 6016 cases were resolved and 314 cases were death.Conclusion: The South Sulawesi Province was one of the most Covid-19 affected provinces in Indonesia up to July 2020.Keywords: Covid-19, Distribution, South Sulawesi Province

Abstract

Background: Adolescents are the population who fall into the 10-19 age group and in this phase, there is rapid growth and development. High school students are individuals who belong to the youth group and their job is to learn to achieve academic achievement. The emergence of the COVID-19 outbreak resulted in students learning from home. This can affect the quality of life of adolescents. Quality of life is the perception of individuals in their lives in terms of cultural contexts, behavior and value systems and is related to the standard of living, expectations, pleasures, and individual assessments of their position in life. This study aims to describe the quality of life and academic achievement of SMA Negeri 9 Manado students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: This was a descriptive study on 95 adolescents who have academic achievements.Results: The majority of adolescents have a moderate level of quality of life. Students who have higher average scores (score of 90.6-100) have a higher quality of life (physical, psychological, social, and environmental health domains) than students with lower scores (score of 74,6-90,5)Conclusion: Students of SMA Negeri 9 Manado have good academic achievements and a moderate level of quality of life. The higher academic achievement the higher the quality of life of these students.Keywords: Adolescents, quality of life, academic achievement
