Abstract

The presence of geothermal potential in an area is indicated by the presence of surface manifestations such as hot springs, fumaroles, mud pools, steaming ground, warm ground, geysers, silica deposits, and other manifestations. Chemical and physical analysis of these manifestations can explore the value of subsurface characteristics such as reservoir type, temperature and pressure of reservoir rock formations, as well as the chemical properties of the fluid. The South Minahasa Regency which is the target of the research has geothermal manifestations such as hot springs, steaming ground, silica deposits, and others. The study was conducted to analyze the characteristics of the fluid using geochemical methods and to estimate the temperature of the geothermal reservoir in the manifestation area in South Minahasa Regency. Geothermal manifestation in Pinaesaan village, South Minahasa Regency is a type of chloride fluid. This shows that the geothermal area is a high temperature zone and has a high permeability zone. Geothermal fluid in Pinaesaan village, South Minahasa Regency is in the area of ​​partial equilibrium waters, which indicates that the fluid is not in a state of equilibrium. This is because the fluid has been mixed with surface water. The hot springs in Pinaesaan village are estimated to be an outflow zone from the geothermal system in the area. The estimated temperature of the geothermal reservoir in Pinaesaan Village using a silica quartz geothermometer calculation is 191°C.

Abstract

Kopasanda (Chromolaena odorata L.) is a plant that contains flavonoid compounds that can act as antioxidants. This study aims to determine the antioxidant potential of the ethanol extract of the stems, leaves and roots of kopasanda by looking at the IC50 value. The stems, leaves and roots of Kopasanda were extracted by maceration using 70% ethanol as solvent. The results of the antioxidant activity test using the ABTS method (2.2'- azino - bis (3 - ethylbenzothiazoline - 6- sulfonic acid) showed a very strong antioxidant activity with an IC50 value of 11.5380 g/ml leaves, 31.161 g/ml stems and 36,860 roots. g/ml with positive control of quarcetin obtained IC50 value of 1.698 g/ml. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the stems, leaves and roots of the encounter have very strong antioxidant activity against ABTS free radicals (2,2'- azino - bis (3 - ethylbenzothiazoline). - 6- sulfonic acid).

Abstract

The addition reaction had been done on the terminal alkynes of 17α-ethynylestradiol with ZnCl2 and HCl catalyst mediated by dichloromethane. The reaction conditions were carried out at a temperature of 70°C for 29 h, the separation of the reaction properties was carried out using Gravity Column Chromatography, and the reaction products were identification using by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR). The catalyst used was a cationic ligand coordinate, where Zn acts as the central ion and 2-propanol as the ligand. In the reaction mechanism, the reaction begins with the formation of dimeric ether. ZnCl3 catalyst acts as Lewis acid which converts alcohol to dimeric ether and forms a complex with ZnCl3. The nucleophilic terminal alkyne then attacks the C-O bond of the ether to form a vinyl carbocation which then attracts a chlorine atom from ZnCl3 which was complex bound with ether, resulting in a reaction product of 17α(chlorovinyl-3-methyl-butene)estradiol

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) Learning Model on Thermochemical Materials Through Online Learning at Dumoga Christian High School. This research was conducted in class XI Science at SMA Kristen Dumoga in the academic year 2021/2022. A total of 20 students of class XI IPA 1 were assigned as research samples. Based on the test data of the t-test hypothesis, the tcount value is 24,090 with a ttable value of 2,024. And the significant level used is = 0.05 with degrees of freedom n1 + n2 -2 (20+20-2) = 38. By looking at the values of tcount and ttable, we get tcount > ttable, meaning Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the increase test (N-gain) obtained 0.77 with high criteria. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the online learning project based learning model on thermochemistry learning outcomes in Dumoga Christian High School.

Abstract

The aim of the research was to find out the difference in learning outcomes before and after applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model to the acid-base material of class X Agriculture SMK Negeri 1 Biaro. This research was conducted in class X Agriculture at SMK Negeri 1 Biaro in the 2022/2023 academic year. A total of 16 students of class X Agriculture were selected as the research sample. Based on the test data for the hypothesis t test, a tcount value of 38.077 is obtained with a ttable value of 2.042. And the significant level used is α = 0.05 with degrees of freedom n1 + n2 - 2 (16+16-2) = 30. By looking at the values ​​of tcount and ttable, tcount > ttable means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Based on the increase test (N-gain) obtained 0.75 with high criteria. Thus it can be concluded that the Application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Learning Model on Acid-Base Reaction Material has an effect on Student Learning Outcomes at SMK Negeri 1 Biaro.

Abstract

The Honey-Alonso model consists of 4 LS concepts namely Active Style (AS), Reflective Style (RS), Theoretical Style (TS), and Pragmatic Style (PS). The LS questionnaire consists of 80 statements, each LS has 20 statements. Test the validity of the instrument with SPSS 21 on the Scale – Reliability Analysis menu and the output is shown in the Item – Total Statistics – Corrected Item-Total Correlation table.The results of 58 respondents obtained AS = 9 (45%), TS = 18 (90%), RS = 13 (65%), and PS = 13 (65%) with a consistent reliability coefficient. The assessment is based on the total individual score for each LS and is converted to a z-score using the NORMDIST excel formula. In the range of normal distribution values are identified in 5 categories namely Very Good (VG), Good (G), Enough (E), Less (L), and Very Poor (VP). The results of the assessment are a combination of 17 typical learning styles. There are 41 respondents who have a strong learning style and 17 respondents who have a weak learning style. Learning styles need to be known by students as early as possible so they can improve it. A strong learning style can increase their learning achievement.

Abstract

Tanaman eceng gondok (Eichhornia crassipes) sebagian besar tersusun dari selulosa dimana selulosa yang terdapat dalam eceng gondok ini yang menjadi situs aktif dalam proses penyerapan ion logam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan optimasi terhadap absorpsi ion logam Zn dengan menggunakan arang daun eceng gondok. Arang eceng gondok dikontakkan pada larutan seng dengan menggunakan parameter waktu kontak dan pH kemudian diukur nilai absorpsinya dengan spektrofotometer serapan atom. Dari data yang diperoleh, waktu kontak optimum terjadi pada 60 menit dengan nilai absorpsi 1,91 ppm. Untuk pH optimum dari penyerapan ion logam seng terjadi pada pH 6 dengan konsentrasi ion logam yang terserap sebesar 93,062 ppm.

Abstract

This study aims to develop new learning media using wordwall in chemistry learning, especially in the basic chemical law material at SMA Kr. Eben Haezar Manado, class X. Another objective is to evaluate the feasibility of learning media wordwall in the context of learning chemistry on basic legal material at the school. The research method used is the R&D (Research and Development) method with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Wordwall learning media was developed and implemented in chemistry learning in class X at SMA Kr. Eben Haezar Manado. This study provides several results, namely; The wordwall learning media that was developed received a positive response from students in class X at SMA Kr. Eben Haezar Manado. This media is considered feasible and can be used in chemistry learning basic legal material based on the validity test taken. This research has important implications in increasing the use of wordwall learning media in chemistry learning at SMA Kr. Eben Haezar Manado class X. The use of this media can increase student engagement, facilitate understanding of chemistry concepts, and improve problem solving skills. It is suggested that wordwall learning media can be integrated into the broader chemistry learning strategy in this school.

Abstract

Quinolones are heterocyclic compounds that are important in medicine and materials for DSSCs or OLEDs. One thing that is rarely studied is the ability to detect metal ions. Diazo groups have an important role in forming complexes with metal ions. This research aims to obtain initial information regarding the metal detection capabilities of diazo quinolinone compounds. The compound 7-[(2,4-dihydroxyphenyl)diazenyl]-4-methyl-2-quinolinone is the test target. Tests were carried out with various metal ions in MeOH. Next, the wavelength of the complex was determined using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The results of complex analysis of Compound 2 with various metal ions show the potential to be an indication of the presence of metal ions.

Abstract

This research using the PTK (Classroom Action Research) method which aims to be able to find efforts to increase student activities through project-based learning models, to improve cognitive abilities and student learning interests. Learners are educational subjects considered active in shaping their chemistry learning achievement. The subjects this study is students of class XI IPA 2 SMA Dian Harapan Holland Village Manado. The focus of this research is the cognitive ability and learning interest of students. The results showed that the cognitive ability and interest in learning class XI IPA 2 SMA Dian Harapan Holland Village Manado there is an increase marked by an increase in the average score from cycle I to cycle III. There was also an increase in the activity of students. Therefore, the implementation of the Project Based Learning Model (PjBL) can provide a good and positive response for students.
