Abstract

Telah disintesis material oksida besi (Fe3O4) menggunakan metode kopresipitasi. Citra morfologi, pola difraksi dan ukuran partikel oksida besi (Fe3O4) dilihat dari hasil karakterisasti material menggunakan  Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) yang menunjukan ukuran partikel material oksida besi (Fe3O4) adalah ±14 nm, indeks miller dari cincin paling dalam sampai terluar berturut-turut: (220), (311), (400), (511), (440). Selanjutnya material oksida besi (Fe3O4) yang dimodifikasi dengan polimer polyetilen glycol (PEG-4000) menunjukkan ukuran partikel ±11 nm, indeks miller dari cincin paling dalam sampai terluar berturut-turut: (111) (220) (311) (400) (511) (440). Penambahan polimer menyebabkan muncul indeks yang baru.

Abstract

Geothermal energy depends on volcanic regions or plate subduction. Indonesia has geothermal potential due to the meeting of 3 (three) large plates. North Sulawesi is one of the areas located in the ring of fire. Some areas in the Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi province, were targeted for research because they have manifestations of geothermal such as hot pools, steaming ground, mud pools, and other manifestations. The research location is divided into 3 (three) locations around the Lahendong geothermal area, namely the Lahendong pine forest, the Toraget hot air area, and the hot springs in the village of Totolan. The results of sample and ploting tests in ternary diagrams show that all three geothermal manifestations have sulfuric acid type fluids. This type of geothermal fluid has a high SO4 content, while HCO3 and Cl values ​​are low. Hot springs that have a type of sulfuric acid occur in active volcanic regions. This is supported by the lithology of three areas of manifestation which are composed of basalt resulting from volcanic rocks.

Abstract

Iron oxide (Fe3O4) nanoparticles have been synthesized using coprecipitation method. Characterization of the magnetic properties of iron oxide (Fe3O4) nanoparticles using Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) shows a loop hysteresis curve on Fe3O4 magnetite nanoparticles with a value of Mr 7.7 emu/g at 0 kOe field, Ms 68.2 emu/g at an external field 14 ,61 kOe. A low Mr value or close to zero indicates that the Fe3O4 nanoparticle material is softmagnetic. Fe3O4 nanoparticles that had been modified with PEG-4000 polymer showed a Ms value of 55.7 emu/g in a 14 kOe field, an Hc coercivity field of about 60 Oe, and a Mr. 6.3 emu/g value in a 0 kOe field. The smaller the particle size, the more likely the material has a single magnetic domain. The smaller the sample particle size, the smaller the remanent magnetization value. The smaller the value of remanent magnetization, the residual magnetization that is still possessed by a material/sample when it is not affected by an external magnetic field is also greater.

Abstract

The synthesis of materials made from FeSO4.7H2O, FeCl3.6H2O, and NH4OH hydrophilic materials has been carried out using coprecipitation method to produce Fe3O4 nanoparticle material. Analysis of the crystalline structure of Fe3O4 nanoparticles seen from the results of material characterization using X-Ray Diffractometer showed diffraction peaks namely (220) (311) (400) (511) (440) with the main peak at the index (311). Samples of Fe3O4 nanoparticles were modified with PEG-4000 polymer, emerging new diffraction peaks such as peaks with index (111), α- Fe3O4 peaks, γ-FeO (OH) peaks and α-FeO ​​(OH) peaks. The emergence of these new peaks is due to the influence of the PEG-4000 polymer which directly shows the bond with the -OH (hydroxyl) group.

Abstract

A study has been conducted for functional group analysis of polyethylene Glycol (PEG) coated nanoparticles of iron oxide (Fe3O4) and biomolecules using FTIR-Spectroscopy. A sample functional group analysis was performed to determine the ability of modified iron oxide nanoparticles (Fe3O4) with the addition of PEG polymers, potentially to bind biomolecules. The presence of water molecules absorption on the surface of black iron oxide nanoparticles (Fe3O4) causing bonding with PEG polymer is indicated by the absorption peak at the vibration of the -OH (hydroxyl) group at the wave number 3441,01 cm-1. The result of modification of black iron oxide nanoparticles (Fe3O4) with PEG, can bind biomolecules exhibited repetition of the absorption peak on the vibration of the -OH (hydroxyl) group at wave number 3433,29 cm-1 and even the appearance of a new absorption peak on vibration CO at wave number 1350,17 cm-1

Abstract

Telah dilakukan pengujian Magnetoresitance berbasis lapisan tipis Giant-Magnetoresistance (GMR) pada Plyethylen Glicol (PEG)-coated-nanopartikel magnetit (Fe3O4). Penambahan lapisan nanopartikel magnetit Fe3O4 dan lapisan nanopartikel magnetit Fe3O4 yang dimodifikasi dengan PEG menyebabkan pergeseran nilai resistance pada lapisan tipis GMR dan mempengaruhi pergerakan domain-wall free layer FeCoB seiring dengan bertambahnya medan eksternal. Hasil ini ditunjukkan dengan pergeseran nilai resistansi sebesar ± 55,5 %, sebelum dan setelah dilapisi oleh nanopartikel magnetit Fe3O4. Resistansi ± 45,6 %, sebelum dan setelah dilapisi oleh nanopartikel magnetit Fe3O4 yang dimodifikasi dengan PEG.

Abstract

Utilization of coconut and candlenut plants in Indonesia is still limited to the utilization of the fruit flesh, so that the waste resulting from the use of coconuts, namely the shell, has not been utilized optimally, especially in North Sulawesi. The aim of this study was to look at the functional groups in the activated carbon of coconut shell charcoal and aleirites moluccana (pecan shell) charcoal using Fourier Transform Infra Red (FTIR). The results of this study showed that the activated carbon of coconut shell charcoal and aleirites moluccana (pecan shell) charcoal had functional groups O-H, C=C, C-O, C-H. This group is an arrangement that belongs to an activated carbon.

Abstract

Misconception is a wrong way of looking at an event that occurs. Various types of research have also been conducted to uncover and resolve these misconceptions. This study aims to analyze the misconceptions of the Physics Teacher Candidate Student (MCGF) on the concept of kinematics. With the form of qualitative research, the data collection technique was carried out using a three-level diagnostic test while the validity of the data used reference material, namely a test recap in the form of a three-level diagnostic test result script. Data analysis was carried out by being described, categorized, synthesized, then sorted systematically using three steps, namely editing, presenting, and drawing conclusions. From the researc, the results show that the misconceptions that occur in MCGF are determined by the sub-concept of Regularly Changing Straight Motion (GLBB) and Parabolic Motion, especially in determining the projectile trajectory. Factors that cause misconceptions are associative thoughts, incomplete reasoning and even tend to be wrong, and wrong intuition. An alternative solution that can be done is exposing the respondent to recovery, anomalous events, and incomplete and erroneous rationality and reasoning so that it is immediately completed. It is hoped that any misconceptions that occur can be immediately contacted.

Abstract

Education is the key to all quality progress and development, because with education humans can realize all their potential both as individuals and as citizens of society. This study aims to describe the application of an experimental method based on presentation media at Efata Bambung Christian Middle School. This study uses a class action research method, the subject of the research is class VIII students, totaling 38 students. This research was carried out in two cycles and each cycle had two meetings. This research was carried out in April of the 2019/2020 school year according to the time of physics subjects at school. Through the results of this study, using an experimental method based on presentation media can increase student involvement in learning and be able to increase student learning outcomes. The more stable students' understanding of the material presented by the teacher so that it can improve classical learning completeness from cycle I to 50% and cycle II to 100%. In the second cycle, classical student learning completeness has been achieved. The research can be concluded that the experimental method based on presentation media has a positive impact in improving student learning outcomes which is marked by an increase in student learning mastery in each cycle.

Abstract

This study pertains to the utilization of solar energy as a sustainable energy source, which exhibits considerable promise in Indonesia. The average daily solar radiation intensity in Indonesia is estimated to be approximately 4.8 kWh/m2. Nevertheless, the practical implementation of the Solar Power Plant (PLTS) presents several problems, including the need to improve the output power efficiency of the solar panels. This aspect offers the potential for significant enhancement. This study aimed to evaluate the performance of solar modules when equipped with reflectors, through a comparative analysis. In order to enhance the output power of the solar module, it is vital to augment the solar radiation received by this module. Based on the data acquired, it can be observed that the utilization of reflectors within the time frame of 11.00-12.00 WIT yields the maximum efficiency value.
