Model Kurikulum Fullday School dengan Sistem Terpadu di Sekolah Dasar (SD) Islam Terpadu Cordova Samarinda Kadi, Titi

Abstract

The appearance phenomenon of Integrated Islamic Elementary School (IIES) that recently sponsored by Jaringan Sekolah Islam Terpadu (JSIT) in the middle of merger trend of Elementary schools which are lack of student is interesting to observe. One of the Integrated Islamic Elementary School in Samarinda which applied the curriculum concept with full day school system is the Integrated Islamic Elemantary School of Cordova Samarinda. Cordova itself taken from the famous University name in the Turkish reign of Usmani, which the education of Muslim was growing faster at that time. Curriculum and learning in IIES of Cordova integrate the general learning with the religion learning equally, even they also add the Islamic values into all general learning subject  without decreasing the quality of learning value. The aim of this research are to observe: a) the curriculum model of full day school with integrated system in Integrated Islamic Elementary School of Cordova Samarinda, b) the curriculum development model of full day school with integrated system in Integrated Islamic Elementary School of Cordova Samarinda, c) the implementation of the curriculum model of full day school with integrated system in Integrated Islamic Elementary School of Cordova Samarinda is. This research utilizes the qualitative approach, where the data collecting technique used were observation, in depth interview, and document study. The analysis technique used was non statistic, which done by analyzing through the description of words or sentences in the form of explanation for the conclusion. In analyzing the data, the researcher used phasing which are as follows : (a) analyzing the data from all sources, (b) reducing the data, (c) arranging the data in units, (d) categorizing while conducting the coding, (e) checking the data validity. The finding of this research can be presented as follows : Curriculum model in IIES of Cordova is the integrated curriculum between KTSP, JSIT, character education, and local curriculum. Curriculum development model in IIES of Cordova Samarinda has the support of the stakeholders which called the “grass roots system” approach. The steps are (a) make the development group of KTSP in the school, (b) held the FGD between the development group and the stakeholders, (c) make the KTSP draft, (d) the school principle or the vice of curriculum need to make the validity to the school committee, and draft legalization to the education board, (e) the supervised KTSP draft has been through the process of validation and legalization, KTSP document is implementative for the school. Curriculum implementation model in IIES of Cordova Samarinda consists of the parenting integration : formal, nonformal, and informal design. Material integration : religion, general, talent and interest, also life skill. Field integration : cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. Process integration are learning and hidden curriculum.

Abstract

Islamic moderation is highly vital in any field of life especially in higher educational context. In the context of this study, the researcher employed phenomenological study by the aim to investigate policy made by policy makers in two public universities in Balikpapan and Samarinda regarding the mainstreaming Islamic moderation in their universities by using in-depth interview. Additionally, the implementation of Islamic moderation was also explored especially on the steps of planning, implementing, and evaluating the teaching and learning process of Islamic Religious Education course or what so called by Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) course by utilizing direct observation, field-notes, and added by document analysis. Finally, in-depth interview was conducted to highlight the challenges faced by the PAI lecturers in mainstreaming Islamic moderation in PAI course. As a result, Islamic moderation was reflected in the policy made by the policy makers at both public universities in terms of hidden curriculum. Moreover, Islamic moderation values was also revealed in every aspect of teaching and learning of PAI course including planning, implementing, and evaluating. Lastly, the PAI lecturers encountered eight barriers when implementing Islamic moderation during PAI course. Novelty and pedagogical implications were also emphasized in this research.

Abstract

This article discusses the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in deepening the study of Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) in junior high schools, with a focus on the methods they employ and their impact on students, as well as the implications for religious understanding and character development. The research utilizes a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and document analysis. The data is analyzed through data condensation, data presentation, and verification/conclusion stages. The research findings reveal the following: The role of PAI teachers includes acting as discussion facilitators, guiding students in case studies, and organizing simulations of religious worship and transactions. PAI teachers' efforts in teaching involve encouraging students to ask questions and engage in discussions on complex Fiqh matters, conducting practical activities such as group discussions, case studies, and religious worship simulations. The impact of PAI teachers' role in deepening Fiqh studies helps students attain a deeper understanding of Islam, enhances moral awareness, improves decision-making abilities, and fosters critical thinking skills. Implications of the role of PAI teachers in Fiqh education include the enhancement of religious understanding within society, the development of improved skills in interpreting Islamic law, the potential for ethical and responsible leadership, and the promotion of intercultural dialogue and religious tolerance. The implications of this study underscore the significance of effective PAI teachers in shaping a more knowledgeable, ethical, and value-committed younger generation.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at MAN 1 Kutai Kartanegara, focusing on identifying challenges and solutions in planning, implementation, and learning evaluation. The research employed a qualitative case study method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with teachers and school staff, observations, and analysis of curriculum-related documents and learning processes. The findings indicate several challenges in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum, including insufficient understanding of Learning Outcomes (CP) and Learning Objective Paths (ATP), limitations in access to and utilization of technology, and difficulties in implementing effective learning differentiation. Proposed solutions include intensive training for teachers, adequate technology provision, and continuous strengthening of formative assessment. Recommendations for improvement encompass the need for more intensive socialization of the Merdeka Curriculum, enhanced technological infrastructure, development of differentiated learning competencies, and fostering an adaptive and collaborative school culture. This research is expected to contribute to improving the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at the upper secondary school level and supporting national educational transformation towards more relevant and adaptive learning in the era of globalization.

Abstract

This paper presents the importance of educational innovation, as part of the effort to solve the peroblematic education in Indonesia. Education and society are two sides that have reciprocal relations, that is, what is going on in the world of education, is a true picture in the reality of complex community life. However, the reciprocal relationship formula is not always directly proportional. Communities developing in high escalation and progressiveness, while the world of education, are still busy with a variety of problems that are not easily broken down. Based on the explanation, innovation in the world of education is very urgent to be done by every human being who has concern for the development of education, as a form of improvement towards better education of Indonesia.

Abstract

This paper analyze the strengthening of religious literacy in strengthening multicultural education in higher education. This is motivated by the diversity in higher education, which is then feared that there will be divisions and acts of violence if multiculturalism education is not built or implemented, considering that students are individuals who are in the adolescent phase towards adulthood with changing emotional levels. This study uses a qualitative approach with library research, where the data analysis uses content analysis. The results showed that religious literacy in this case is a concept that not only means reading, but rather a deep understanding of religion so that it can become a basis for thinking and rationing on behavior. There are several things in strengthening religious literacy, including; 1) use and procurement of supporting media, 2) increase reading interest, 3) existence of student organizations, and 4) culture of discussion.

Abstract

The functionalization of teachers as the primary contributor to educational quality is demonstrated by their mastery of professional facets. The purpose of this study is to design and examine a model for teacher professional development. a qualitative study design using literary methods. Using the keywords "teacher competence," "teacher professionalism," "professional development," and "educational management," 45 data sources were extracted from main and secondary references in the form of books, research journals, and documentation. Coding, keywords, and classification are then used to process the data. Miles and Huberman's procedures are employed in data analysis. The findings demonstrated that teachers' professional orientation does not end at the point of demonstrating competence but rather develops unique teacher-learner relations. Both internal and external factors have an impact on the professional development of teachers. Internal competence development entails taking several calculated actions. The professional development of teachers is an endeavor to reenergize instructors that are carried out outside of classrooms. Observations of the teaching profession are generally becoming more forward-looking. The idealization is consistent with the official government policies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Kiai leadership in empowering independent businesses at two pesantren: Al Azhar Pesantren in Balikpapan and Salsabila Pesantren in Samarinda. The main focus of this research is to examine how Kiai leadership influences the management and development of independent businesses at both pesantren, as well as the factors that support the success of these ventures. The research method employed is a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and participatory observation techniques. Data were collected from the Kiai, independent business managers, and students (santri) at both pesantren. The results show that Kiai leadership significantly influences strategic decision-making, motivation, and the entrepreneurial culture applied in the independent businesses of the pesantren. Leadership based on values of independence, role modeling, and individual empowerment plays a key role in developing independent businesses that contribute to improving the welfare of the pesantren and its students. Furthermore, this study also finds that support from the surrounding community and cooperation with various stakeholders contribute to the success of the independent businesses. Therefore, Kiai leadership can be seen as an important factor in optimizing the resource potential of the pesantren and realizing economic independence within the pesantren environment.
