Abstract

Abstrak: Beberapa permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam masa pandemi Covid-19, adalah masih rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat dalam menerapkan protokol kesehatan dan belum terbiasa melaksanakan Adaptasi Kebiasaan Baru (AKB), langkanya handsanitizer dipasaran sehingga harganya menjadi mahal, ketahanan pangan terancam dengan sulitnya mendapatkan bahan pangan khususnya sayuran dimasa pembatasan sosial berskala besar (PSBB).Tusjuan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan adalah : 1). Masyarakat dapat menerapkan protokol kesehatan untuk memutus rantai penyebaran Covid-19.  2). Masyarakat dapat membuat handsanitizer dari bahan alami, 3). Masyarakat dapat melakukan budidaya sayuran dengan metode hidroponik sederhana. Metode yang dilakukan : 1). Sosialisasi dengan kunjungan ke rumah warga sasaran 2). Pelatihan. 3). Monitoring dan evaluasi kegiatan. Lokasi kegiatan di Kecamatan Parungkuda, Nyalindung dan Gunungpuyuh Sukabumi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat dapat : 1) menerapkan protokol kesehatan (cara menggunakan masker, cara batuk,  jaga jarak dan cara cuci tangan secara baik dan benar), 2). Dapat membuat hand sanitizer dari daun sirih, 3) Dapat melakukan budidaya sayuran (kangkung dan pakchoy) dengan metode hidroponik sederhana. Abstract:  Some of the problems during the Covid-19 pandemic, are the low level of public awareness in implementing health protocols and not being used to implementing New Habitual Adaptation (IMR), the scarcity of handsanitizers in the market so that the price is expensive, food security is threatened with difficulty getting food, especially vegetables in the future. large-scale social restrictions (PSBB). The objectives of community service are: 1). The public can apply health protocols to break the chain of spread of Covid-19. 2). People can make hand sanitizers from natural ingredients, 3). The community can cultivate vegetables using simple hydroponic methods. Methods used: 1). Visits to target residents' homes to socialize activities, 2). Training,3). Monitoring and evaluation. The location of the activity is in Parungkuda, Nyalindung and Gunungpuyuh Sukabumi Districts. The results of the activity show that the community can: 1) apply health protocols (how to use a mask, how to cough, maintain distance and how to wash hands properly), 2). Can make hand sanitizer from betel leaf, 3) Can cultivate vegetables (kale and pakchoy) using simple hydroponic methods

Abstract

Organic waste that comes from daily food leftovers in the community has not been used properly, people still put together organic waste and non-organic waste which is then burned, this results in the environment being exposed to carbon dioxide from burning garbage. In Nyalindung Village, many of the people make a living as breeders and farmers, where farmers buy their agricultural crops from Sukabumi City, which is quite far from Nyalindung Village, as well as breeders who buy chicken feed from cities which are quite far and expensive. To reduce organic waste, this community service will conduct training on how to process organic waste into compost so that it can be used by farmers, and the use of organic waste for magot cultivation so that it can be used by chicken breeders as high protein feed. The target output of this community service is the community, farmers and breeders can make fertilizer and animal feed based on magot Keywords: waste, organic, magot, compost Abstrak Sampah organik yang berasal sisa makanan sehari-hari di masyarakat belum dimanfaatkan dengan baik, masyarakat masih mennyatukan sampah organik dan sampah non organik yang kemudian dibakar, hal tersebut mengakibatkan Lingkungan terpapar karbon dioksida dari pembakaran sampah. Di Desa Nyalindung Masyarakatnya banyak berpencaharian sebagai peternak dan petani, Dimana para petani untuk memupuk tanaman pertaniannya membeli dari Kota Sukabumi yang jaraknya cukup jauh dari Desa Nyalindung, begitu pula dengan Peternak membeli pakan ayam dari kota yang jaraknya cukup jauh dan mahal. Untuk mengurangi sampah organik, pada pengabdian Masyarakat ini akan dilakukan pelatihan cara pengolahan sampah organik menjadi pupuk kompos agar bisa dimanfaatkan oleh petani, dan pemanfaatan sampah organik untuk budidaya magot agar dapat dimanfaatkan oleh para peternak ayam sebagai pakan berprotein tinggi. Target Luaran dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah masyarakat, para petani dan peternak dapat membuat pupuk dan pakan ternak berbasis magot Kata Kunci: sampah, organik, magot, kompos

Abstract

Indonesian sea waters are the origin of various species of eel (Anguilla spp.) Which are spreadthroughout the world. There are 18 species of eel that have been identified in the world, 9 of whichare in Indonesian waters. The life cycle of eel when larvae and juveniles have morphological formsthat are difficult to distinguish between species. The level of difficulty in identifying eel species willcause delays in disclosure of biodiversity. The high market demand caused concern becausePelabuhan Ratu Bay is one of the southern coast waters of Java Island which has great potential insupplying eel larvae and juveniles. One of the locations where eel fish are caught is the estuary ofthe Cimandiri river located in the southern part of Pelabuhan Ratu bay. Until now, research ongenetic diversity and phylogeny of eel that has entered the estuary of the river has not been donemuch. Even though it is very important to maintain genetic resources, species and ecosystems ofeels. Genetic resources are the basic stages in an effort to protect eel resources in Indonesia,through this method it will facilitate identification even at the species level when compared to justusing identification methods based on morphological characters.This study used eel fish samplesfrom the genus Anguilla taken from the mouth of the Cimandiri River, Pelabuhan Ratu. Sampling iscarried out every month starting from December 2017 - March 2018. Samples are taken using ancoand bubu fishing gear. The sample is then preserved with absolute ethanol solution (96%),followed by the extraction process, PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) and electrophoresisamplification. The genus is A. bicolor bicolor, A. nebulosa nebulosa and A. marmorata.

Abstract

ABSTRAKSalah satu alasan yang menarik minat konsumen ikan hias adalah kualitas warna ikan hias itu sendiri, sehingga pembudidaya melakukan berbagai upaya untuk menghasilkan ikan hias dengan warna yang cerah. Upaya peningkatan kecerahan warna ikan hias dapat dilakukan dengan pemberian karotenoid tambahan, baik yang tersedia alami maupun sintesis. Salah satu karotenoid alami adalah mikroalga air tawar. Mikroalga dapat ditumbuhkan dengan memberi penambahan pupuk N dan P ke dalam kolam budidaya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menentukan dosis pupuk efektif dalam menumbuhkan mikroalga yang berdampak terhadap pigmentasi ikan koi. Penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium Akuakultur Universitas Muhammadiyah Sukabumi menggunakan akuarium berukuran 40x50x60 cm3 dan padat tebar koi 10 ekor per akuarium. Dosis pupuk yang diujikan adalah 0,25 g/L pupuk kandang + 0,6 g/L NPK (A), 0,5 g/L pupuk kandang + 0,3 g/L NPK (B), dan 1,5 g/L pupuk kandang + 1 g/L NPK (C). Pengukuran warna ikan dilakukan dengan memotret bagian tubuh ikan menggunakan ponsel pintar yang telah dilengkapi dengan aplikasi color picker. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan C menghasilkan kecerahan warna tertinggi dengan peningkatan warna mencapai 13,55%. Selain kualitas warna, pertumbuhan bobot dan panjang ikan pada perlakuan C menunjukkan nilai yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan perlakuan lainnya. Adapun kualitas air pada setiap perlakuan menunjukkan nilai yang tergolong optimum bagi keberlangsungan ikan koi.

nowadays marine pollution become a serious problem in the  word, especially in Indonesia including in Sukabumi that known for itas beautifull beaches such as Pelabuhan Ratu, geopark ciletuh, ujung genteng, etc. marine  marine scientists have found hamrful impact of marine pollution by plastic waste to the marine environment, ecosystem and human. there-quarter of all marine pollution in marine environment is plasctic. the situation become worse whe it come micro plastic woman have essential role to preseve the marine environment because woman have close relation to the environment

Abstract

This research was carried out for approximately 1 month from 17 January – 05 March 2022. In situ measurements included temperature (Suhu), acidity (pH), and dissolve oxygen (DO). Directly in the Lab. Aquaculture Biotechnology Fakulty of Agriculture University of Muhammadiyah Sukabumi. the test included testing the ex situ water quality at the IPB University Laboratory. Testing ammonia and alkalinity. The results of the above objectives show a comparison of the growth of water quality in the vertiqua system (Vertical Aquaculture), to determine the effectiveness of the vertiqua system in goldfish cultivation on growth, feeding effeciency, and water quality.

Abstract

The  feed plays a critical role in the success of freshwater lobster cultivation, but it often presents challenges due to its relatively high cost, accounting for up to 60% of production expenses. To address this issue, farmers in Sukabumi have devised various alternative feeds by harnessing different protein sources to reduce the expenditure on commercial pellets. One such innovation is a moist feed composed of a blend of pellets, cassava, and snails in a ratio of 1:1:1.4. However, there hasn't been prior testing of its nutritional content. Consequently, this study aims to evaluate the nutritional composition of this moist feed and assess its impact on the growth of freshwater lobsters as well as water quality. For this research, a total of 300 lobsters, ranging in size from 7 to 10 grams, were reared in fiberglass tanks. The lobsters were fed twice daily. The proximate analysis of the cassava and snail-based moist feed revealed protein content (20.52%), fat (2.61%), carbohydrates (12.87%), moisture content (50.64%), and ash content (13.36%). The lobsters exhibited a growth rate of 0.3% per day, and the water quality remained favorable, with parameters such as temperature (23-25°C), pH (6.5-7), dissolved oxygen (5-7 mg/L), nitrate (1.907 mg/L), nitrite (0.141 mg/L), ammonia (0.442 mg/L), phosphate (0.032 mg/L), and alkalinity (237.4 mg CaCO3/L) within acceptable ranges. These findings suggest that the moist feed provided by farmers lacks sufficient protein content to fully meet the nutritional requirements of lobsters, resulting in slower growth. On the other hand, water quality remains conducive for successful lobster farming.

Abstract

Kecamatan Sukalarang merupakan salah satu wilayah di Kabupaten Sukabumi yang memiliki permasalahan terkait banjir pada musim penghujan. Banjir sering terjadi pada ruas jalan Sukabumi-Cianjur pada KM 12. Kondisi berpotensi pada kerusakan infrastuktur, mengangu penguna jalan termasuk kendaraan yang melewatinya. Perencanaan ulang sistem drainase diperlukan untuk meningkatkan daya tampung 38% dari kapasitas awal untuk menghindari peluapan air yang menyebabkan banjir (Nuranie A, 2024). Pemberdayaan masyarakat dilakukan melalui kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata Tematik (KKNT-UMMI) selama 40 hari, 13 Agustus – 21 September 2024 yang belokasi di Desa Sukalarang. Tahapan kegiatan mulai dari Focus Group Diskussion (FGD), Pelaksanaan program, Lokakarya Akhir dan program tidak lanjut. Luaran yang dihasilkan rintisan sekolah Adiwiyata, pembuatan rorakan dilahan pertanian, pemetaan untuk penanaman pohon. Kegiatan dilakukan secara pentahelix diantaranya pemerintah, komunitas peduli lingkungan, FKPDAS, pihak akademisi dan masyarakat.

Abstract

The zooplankton community structure in koi fish (Cyprinus rubrofuscus) aquaculture using the Vertiqua system with a biological biofilter was analyzed to understand the crucial role of zooplankton as an integral part of aquatic ecosystems. Zooplankton, which connects phytoplankton with carnivorous consumers, also serves as an effective biological indicator for assessing changes in aquatic environmental conditions. This study employed a descriptive method to observe the abundance and diversity of zooplankton in three Vertiqua ponds. The observations revealed that the zooplankton groups Rotifera and Ciliophora were dominant, with abundances of 118 Ind/l and 106 Ind/l, respectively. The three observed Vertiqua ponds were categorized as mesotrophic, with an average diversity index of 2.2, zooplankton evenness index of 0.7, and dominance index of 0.2. Measurements of the water’s physical-chemical factors showed an average temperature of 26°C, pH 6, DO 6 Mg/l, ammonia 0.05 Mg/l, nitrite 2.33 Mg/l, nitrate 14.6 Mg/l, and phosphate 1.1 Mg/l. Based on the abundance and diversity of zooplankton found, the pond water conditions can be categorized as mesotrophic with a moderate level of fertility, supporting a varied zooplankton community structure.

Abstract

Vertiqua biofical top filter is a cultivation technique with a recirculation system that utilizes limited land. Vertiqua is a solution for cultivation. When cultivating koi fish in vertiqua, the feed capacity increases and there is a high nutrient load so that the waters are easily polluted, therefore the presence of an upper biophysical filter can reduce pollution. This is important to study, especially the structure of the phytoplankton community because it is one of the biological indicators of ponds in koi fish cultivation. This research was carried out for 6 weeks in Sindangpalay Ciberem Sukabumi. The research was carried out by taking phytoplankton in the vertiqua at intervals of once every 2 weeks. The data analysis in this research is abundance, diversity, uniformity and dominance. During the research results obtained were abundance 636-673, diversity 2.6, uniformity 0.9, and dominance 0.01. The water quality studied was ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, phosphate, pH, DO, turbidity and temperature. These waters are stable and healthy, which is a positive indicator to support fish farming activities. The water quality in Vertiqua is classified as good and the ecosystem is balanced, these waters are ideal for supporting the productivity and health of farmed fish.
