Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of motivation of teachers SMP Negeri 1 Guguak District District Fifty Cities in performing the task. This is a descriptive study, the study population was all teachers in junior high. The research instrument was a questionnaire Likert scale models that have been tested for validity and reliability, and analyzed using the average formula. This study shows that the motivation of teachers in SMP Negeri 1 sub guguak high category, but needs to be improved in order to better achieve educational goals well. Kata kunci: motivasi kerja

Abstract

Kecemasan akademik yang dapat berupa perasaan gelisah atau distress dengan manifestasi psikologis, kognitif, somatik, dan motorik menjadi masalah yang umum bagi mahasiswa baru. Berpikir positif dinilai dapat menurunkan tingkat kecemasan akademik. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini merupakan studi eksperimental yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pelatihan berpikir positif untuk menurunkan kecemasan akademik pada mahasiswa baru. Metode eksperimental menggunakan quasi design yang hanya melibatkan satu kelompok perlakuan, yaitu one-group pretest-posttest. Partisipan penelitian terdiri dari 11 partisipan yang sedang menjalani perkuliahan semester satu di Program Studi Psikologi Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Analisis data menggunakan teknik non-parametric statistic test yaitu Wilcoxon Signed-Ranked Test. Analisis tersebut menghasilkan z score sebesar 2,845 dengan p value kurang dari 0,05 yang berarti terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pelatihan berpikir positif terhadap kecemasan akademik. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan berpikir positif secara signifikan dapat menurunkan kecemasan akademik pada partisipan.

Abstract

Entering the phase of adulthood requires gradual independence and preparation. College students, as early adults, are expected to take on responsibilities, become more independent, build intimate relationships, enhance friendship commitments, and tackle challenges without relying on their parents. However, many students still lack mental readiness due to a lack of independence. Therefore, this research aims to develop the PLANE independent life skills measurement tool, which can assess the level of independence among college students in managing their lives autonomously. The participants were 212 students, comprising 71.2% females and 28.8% males, with an average age of 19.84 years (SD = 1.26). The research employed a quantitative method, testing person fit and item fit using the Winstep application and Jeffreys Amazing Statistics Program (JASP). Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). Based on the research findings, the instrument demonstrated high reliability (α = 0.73), making it suitable for use, and high validity (p > 0.3), indicating the instrument's appropriate construct.
