Abstract

Disasters are events caused by events or a series of events caused by natural or non-natural. During the period from January to May 2021, there were 1,185 disasters that occurred in Indonesia such as floods, tornadoes, landslides, forest and land fires, earthquakes, tidal waves and droughts. This study aimed to analyse the preparedness of the Haji Abdoel Madjid Batang Hari Regional General Hospital (RSUD HAMBA) Jambi (facing disasters and the COVID-19 pandemic). The research method uses a mix method approach, using the Hospital Safety Index (HSI) forms. The HAMBA Hospital included earthquakes, strong winds, fires, and the COVID-19 pandemic. The struktural safety assessment got an index score of 0.69, non-struktural safety was 0.67, and emergency and disaster management safety got an index score of o.63. Overall, HAMBA Hospital received a safety index of 0.67 which was included in the "A" classification which indicates that HAMBA Hospital is ready to face the COVID-19 disaster and pandemic. HAMBA Hospital is expected to strengthen emergency and disaster management, renovation and addition of rooms and facilities must follow applicable hospital building safety standards.

Abstract

The COVID-19 outbreak is a global public health emergency of international concern. Cases of COVID-19 spread in many countries across the continent and were marked as a pandemic. COVID-19 is growing rapidly, requiring hospitals to prepare preparedness measures related to managing the pandemic while continuing to provide essential services to other patients who need treatment. This study aims to assess the resiliency capacity of RSUD Haji Abdoel Madjid Batoe Batang Hari Jambi against the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is a descriptive approach. Assessment using the N-COV Hospital Readiness Checklist. The results show that the readiness to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic shows an achievement of 95.6%, which means that HAMBA Hospital is ready to face the COVID-19 pandemic disaster. HAMBA Hospital has taken preparedness steps according to the guidelines from the World Health Organization (WHO) in handling.

Abstract

Background: Large-scale social Restrictions were implemented in the workplace during the COVID-19 pandemic from March 2020 to February 2022. The government has imposed restrictions on the number of workers in the workplace by implementing COVID-19 protocols at the workplace and work-from-home. This research aims to analyze the implementation of the COVID-19 protocol at PT. Bank XYZ Medan office. Methods: Observational descriptive research provides a clear picture by observing the conditions that occur directly to see how the COVID-19 protocol is implemented at PT.Bank XYZ Medan office. Quantitative methods are used. The instruments are the provision of Health Protocols from the Indonesian Minister of Health Decree No. 328 of 2020 regarding Guidelines for Preventing Control of COVID-19 in Office and Industrial Workplaces to Support Business Continuity in Pandemic Situations. Results: The implementation of the COVID-19 health protocol in the PT. Bank XYZ Medan office has a "Very Good" level of achievement. Companies can maintain the implementation of existing COVID-19 protocols during the pandemic to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus in the company. Conclusion: PT. Bank XYZ is expected to maintain the implementation of the COVID-19 protocol if the pandemic has not been declared over by the government of the Republic of Indonesia, and in the future improvements can be made to prevent the transmission of other diseases. Employees must continue to follow the regulations set by the company.
