Abstract

AKBK memiliki beberapa keunggulan, yaitu: Sangat efektif, Tidak merusak hubungan seksual maupun produk ASI.

Adolescence is the transition period from childhood to adulthood, is a crucial developmental period due to rapid physical, psychological, emotional and social changes, typically occurring between the ages of 10 and 19. This period begins with puberty, one of the symptoms of which is menstruation in adolescent girls. Menstruation is the release of blood from the uterus through the vagina, which can lead to dysmenorrhea. Dysmenorrhea is menstrual pain characterized by cramps in the lower abdomen that typically occur before menstruation. This menstrual pain can range from mild to severe. This education on the benefits of lemon and lavender aromatherapy was conducted on evidence based from previous research. It was stated that lemon and lavender aromatherapy had an effect on reducing primary dysmenorrhea pain in adolescents. Therefore, this outreach was conducted with adolescents in Sidodadi Village, Deli Serdang Regency. Community service plays a crucial role in improving the quality of adolescent health. Abstract

Optimal breast milk production is very important to support infant growth and development during the early stages of life. However, many postpartum mothers still experience difficulties in breast milk production due to several factors, such as stress, inadequate nutrition, and limited knowledge regarding breast care and proper breastfeeding techniques. One of the non-pharmacological methods that can be used to help increase breast milk production is Oketani massage. Oketani massage is a breast massage technique that can stimulate prolactin and oxytocin hormones, thereby helping to improve breast milk flow and making the breasts softer and more elastic. This Community Service Program (PKM) will be held in Mei 2026 aims to increase postpartum mothers’ understanding of the benefits of Oketani massage and its effect on increasing breast milk production. The method used in this activity consisted of health education and demonstrations of Oketani massage for postpartum mothers. The material was delivered interactively by providing explanations regarding the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding, factors affecting breast milk production, and the correct steps of Oketani massage. In addition, observations were conducted on breast milk production through several indicators, such as breastfeeding frequency, infant urination frequency, infant calmness after breastfeeding, and infant weight gain. The results showed that there was an effect of Oketani massage on breast milk production in postpartum mothers with a ρ-value of 0.001 where ρ < α (0.05), indicating that Oketani massage was effective in increasing breast milk production. Through this activity, it is expected that postpartum mothers will be able to apply Oketani massage independently as a non-pharmacological method to help increase breast milk production, so that infants’ nutritional needs can be optimally fulfilled and support the success of exclusive breastfeeding.

Abstract

Striae gravidarum or stretch marks are common skin problems in pregnant women, characterized by the appearance of pink, purple, or white lines that usually appear on the stomach, thighs, and breasts due to excessive stretching of the skin during pregnancy. Around 90% of pregnant women experience this condition, especially in the first pregnancy and third trimester. One non- pharmacological therapy that has been proven safe and effective is the use of olive oil which is rich in vitamin E, antioxidants, and unsaturated fatty acids which are useful for increasing skin elasticity, moisturizing, and accelerating tissue regeneration. This study aims to determine the effect of olive oil administration on the healing of striae gravidarum in pregnant women. The study used a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. A total of 15 pregnant women at the H. Tanjung Clinic were given an intervention in the form of applying 1 ml of olive oil twice a day for 14 days. Observations were made using an observation sheet with the Davey Score assessment method. The results of the paired sample t-test statistical test showed a significant decrease in the severity of striae gravidarum, from an average value of 6.80 before the intervention to 4.60 after the intervention, with a p-value of 0.000. This proves that olive oil has a positive effect on the healing process of striae gravidarum. Giving olive oil can be an alternative complementary therapy that is practical, economical, and low-risk, and can be used in antenatal services as a preventive and promotive effort for the health of the skin of pregnant women.
