Abstract

Education is an effort to prepare for the future. Learning is an absolute process that every human being undergoes. Interest in learning is important as a driver of learning. Interest in learning is an important factor in realizing quality education. Today, in Indonesia there are still many problems related to interest in learning. This of course must be a concern. In line with this, the purpose of this writing is to increase interest in learning by developing literacy, numeracy, and character education in students to be able to provide assistance in the midst of problems related to interest in learning. The location of the fieldwork practice carried out by the author is at UPT SDN 060902 Medan City Jln. Mangkubumi with a total of 19 students. This activity time lasts for 3 months. The method used in this study is the Groupwork method with stages (1) Assessment, (2) Planning, (3) Intervention, (4) Evaluation, and (5) Termination. The results of this activity show an increase in students' interest in learning. At the beginning of the meeting, the author found difficulties in increasing students' interest in learning but increasing in each meeting.

Abstract

Literacy and numeracy are the basic skills students need to analyze readings or numbers in different contexts. Based on the research results, it is known that Indonesian students' reading and mathematics skills are still lacking. Therefore, under the Merdeka Learn Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy, the Ministry of Education and Culture organizes the Education Campus Program which invites students to participate in strengthening students' literacy and numeracy skills, especially at the elementary school level. Students directly help the school, teachers and students, depending on the condition of the school and existing needs. With this teaching campus program, I directly teach literacy and numeracy to students using cool learning methods. a method that can attract interest and motivate students to be more active in carrying out the learning process which takes place at public elementary school 064988 Medan Johor. At the beginning of using this cool learning method, students seemed to enjoy the teaching and learning process more. At the beginning of using this learning method, I myself did not experience any difficulties. Due to the good reception of students towards this learning method.

Abstract

The Campus Teaching Program (KM) is part of the MBKM initiative that opens opportunities for students to spend one semester outside the campus. The goal of this program is to train students' skills in addressing issues by collaborating with teachers, innovating in teaching, developing creative, innovative, and enjoyable learning strategies. The Campus Teaching Program is organized with the aim of training students in personal development beyond the scope of regular lectures. This initiative aims to provide students with the opportunity to empower educators in Elementary Schools (SD) and Junior High Schools (SMP) through face-to-face learning activities. Students play a crucial role as change agents with the hope of contributing to the improvement of education quality, especially in literacy and numeracy at the elementary and junior high school levels. Participation in the campus teaching program does not automatically transform students into classroom teachers. Instead, the goal is to collaborate with teachers in efforts to enhance literacy, numeracy, and the application of technology in the focused schools. The program provides students with the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills in supporting the development of students in the educational environment. The approach applied is the service learning method, which integrates the material and theory acquired by students and applies it in the form of real contributions through community service.

Abstract

The development of local community of Satahi Tani farming group in Hutabagasan Village aims to explore the problem faced and find solutions to overcome them. The method used in the devotion of the Satahi Tani peasant group is the Delbeq Method which is supported by FGD (Focus Group Discustion) tools aimed at focusing the topic of discussion. The results of the development of "satahi tani" revealed, the problem faced together is the absence of guaranteed prices of agricultural products (marketing). Of the five programs of the "Satahi tani" farming group, three of them suffered losses due to low prices of agricultural production, even though the quantity and quality of production products were good.  Based on the problem, a common solution was produced, namely the recommendation of the formation of a BUMDes. The formation of BUMDes is outlined in a policy paper as an intervention from the results of FGD that has been carried out. The policy paper has been submitted to the Hutabagasan village government as a means of connecting the aspirations of "Satahi Tani". Furthermore, invite the group "Satahi Tani" to restore the production function of the group.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana peran Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPDB) dalam mengatasi permasalahan banjir di Kota Tebing Tinggi pada fase Tanggap Darurat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kulitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Peneliti dilaksanakan di  Kota Tebing Tinggi karena merupakan salah satu kota dengan wilayah yang rentan mengalami banjir, sehingga menyebabkan banyak kerugian pada masyarakat yang kemudian berdampak pada kesejahteraan masyarakat daerah rentan banjir. Maka dari hasil penelitian didapati bahwa BPBD Kota Tebing Tinggi memiliki peran yang krusial dalam proses penangganan bencana. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian BPBD Kota Tebing tinggi berperan dalam pengkajian secara cepat dan tepat terhadap lokasi, kerusakan, dan sumber daya, penentuan status keadaan darurat, penyelamatan dan evakuasi masyarakat, pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar, perlindungan terhadap kelompok rentan, dan pemulihan dengan segera prasarana dan sarana vital. BPBD Kota Tebing Tinggi telah melakukan upaya penanggulanggan bencana dengan sangat baik meskipun mengalami beberapa kendala berupa keterbatasan sumber daya, dan ketiadaan pekerja profesional.  Akan tetapi, BPBD tetap mampu menjalankan perannya terkhusus pada fase tanggap darudat dan menunjukkan komitmen mereka dalam upaya mengatasi bencana banjir  di wilayah rawan seperti Kampung Rao dan Kampung Semut.
