Abstract

Latar belakang: Dikalangan remaja sering dijumpai adanya perilaku yang menyimpang. Perilaku menyimpang merupakan hasil dari proses sosialisasi yang tidak sempurna. Kelompok yang paling rentan dalam proses perilaku menyimpang yaitu para remaja. Hal ini dapat ditanggulangi apabila fungsi keluarga berjalan dengan baik, karena Keluarga merupakan fungsi sosialisasi bagi anggota keluarga terutama anak, karena pertama kali anak dilahirkan adalah di dalam keluarga yang merupakan lembaga pertama dan utama. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mereveiw beberapa tulisan yang berhubungan dengan komunikasi keluarga terhadap penyimpangan perilaku pada anak dan remaja, Metodelogi Review  yang dilakukan melakukan review artikel sebanyak 53 artikel yang diseleksi sesuai kata kunci, yang menjadi sampel dalam penulisan ini adalah 26 tulisan 12 artikel internasional dan 14 artikel nasional. Jenis penelitian baik kuantitatif maupun kualitatif, Hasil Penelusuran : Dari 26 artikel yang dibaca  yang menyebabkan terjadinya perilaku yang menyimpang pada anak dan remaja disebabkan  1. komunikasi atau peran keluarga/ orang  tua karena lingkungan pertama dan utama yang dapat mengarahkan seorang anak untuk menghadapi kehidupannya adalah keluarga. 2. Lingkungan sekolah membentuk karakter lebih kurang 8 jam anak  berada dengan guru yang menjadi orang yang dipercaya. 3. Lingkungan teman sebaya yang membawa dan mengajak kearah positif maupun negatif. Kesimpulan: Lingkungan rumah tangga, sekolah dan teman sebaya perlu mendapat perhatian khusus dalam mencengah terjadi penyimpangan perilaku yang tidak kita inginkan.

Abstract

There are several problems found in this research, such the material used by teacher was not related to the major, textbook for students was not provide the material related to their major, and the material only taken from the internet by teacher randomly. This research is research and development which uses the theory of Sugiyono. The stages in this development are research, developing, validation, and testing. The subjects in this study were 36 students from the tenth grade of Computer and Network Engineering. The need analysis shows, students want to learn reading material that is related to their major and useful when they work after graduation. For validation by expert, the English reading material is categorized as "Very Valid" with the percentage score obtained is 83%. The practical results that have been given to teacher and students, the English reading material is categorized as "Very Practice" with score 92%. And the last, the effectiveness of the English reading material is effective, it gets a significant value of 0.00 which is <0.05,it means that the English reading material is effective. So overall, the developing of English reading material is accordance with the needs of students majoring in computer and network engineering.

Abstract

This research was done to find out the effect of using semantic mapping toward students vocabulary mastery. It has been done at boarding school Jama‟atul Mualimin. Most of students still have limited vocabulary. The students were difficult remember vocabulary that they have learned, they cannot use correct vocabulary in sentences and the student were not interested in the classroom. In this research, the researcher used pre- experimental research with one group pretest and post-test design. The population of this research was the 8th grade students at boarding school Jama‟atul Mualimin which consisted of one class. The sample was taken by total sampling because the school just had one class. The sample of this research was the students of 8th grade which consisted of 19 students. The result of the research indicated the score of the student‟s posttest is higher than the score of pretest. The mean score of pretest is 47,31, where the mean score of students posttest is 88,26. It means that semantic mapping gave contribution toward student‟s vocabulary mastery. In addition to test the hypothesis, the t-obtained 18,17 while t-table on = 0,05 is 1.734. It means that the t-obtained is higher than t-table. In other words, the (Ha) was accepted and Ho was rejected. Which stated there was significant effect of using semantic mapping strategy at 8th grade at boarding school Jama‟atul Mualimin. It can be concluded that, using semantic mapping strategy gave significant effect of using semantic mapping strategy toward students vocabulary mastery.

Abstract

This research was done due to several problems on the students’ ability and impact to the score in reading comprehension.The first problem because the students do their task alone, the second problem the students had low motivation to read the text, the last problem the students felt bored with learning model used. The researher expected wether the power of two strategy is able to give significant effect on students’ reading comprehension. This research was an experimental research. The researcher chose quasi experimental design by using the experimental class and control class. The population of this research was 1th grade of SMA N 1 Pangkalan. The sample was X MIPA 1 which was as treated experimental class and X MIPA 2 was treated as control class. To determine the sample, the researcher used cluster sampling because the class have similar characteristic in score of reading test and have similar problems in reading comprehension.The researcher used the reading test as instrument.To analyzed the data, the researcher used Liliefors test for normality test. Then to test the hypothesis, the researcher used t-test and Based on the analysis of the data, the result was also indicated by the mean of experimental class pre-test score which was 60.36. It was higher than the control class pre-test score which was 49.29. The result was also indicated by the mean of experimental class post-test score which was 85.86. It was higher than the control class post-test score which was 61.86. It meant there was significant effect of using the power of two strategy on students reading comprehension. It was concluded that Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected. The students who were taught by using the power of two strategy better than the students who were not taught by using the power of two strategy. To sum up, the power of two strategy has a significant effect on students reading comprehension on descriptive text at 1th grade of SMA N 1 Pangkalan.

Abstract

This research aimed to investigate the students’ perceptions of the flipped classroom approach in learning English at SMPN 2 X Koto Tanah Datar. The flipped classroom model, which reversed traditional in-class activities and homework, introduced new content at home through videos or readings, and dedicated class time to interactive, hands-on activities. This method sought to enhance student engagement, promote active learning, and provide opportunities for personalized instruction and immediate feedback. The study employed a descriptive quantitative method, focusing on second-grade students. Data were collected using a questionnaire that was distributed to 64 students, who were selected through purposive sampling. The questionnaire aimed to gauge students' perceptions of various aspects of the flipped classroom, including self-directed learning, collaboration, responsibility, learning performance, flexibility, and student satisfaction. The population for this study consisted of all second-grade students at SMPN 2 X Koto for the academic year 2021/2022, totaling 95 students across three classes. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, focusing on classes VIII.1 and VIII.2, to ensure participants had the specific attributes necessary for the research. Based on the findings and analysis, it can be concluded that students at SMPN 2 X Koto Tanah Datar have a highly favorable perception of the Flipped Classroom approach in learning English. The study, which involved 95 second-grade students, revealed positive responses across various aspects such as autonomy in learning, collaboration, responsibility, learning performance, flexibility, individualized experiences, interactions, and overall satisfaction. With an average score of 81.41%, categorized as "Very Good" by Arikunto's criteria, the Flipped Classroom methodology is well-received and deemed beneficial for English education at SMPN 2 X Koto Tanah Datar.

Abstract

This study was conducted to find out the correlation between students’ interest in English teaching topics and their learning achievement at 11th grade of SMA N 1 2X11 Enam Lingkung. This study used correlational design. The sample was the XI F 1 and XI F 3 which consisted of 64 students which selected by using cluster random sampling technique. The technique data collection was questionnaire and students’ achievement test scores. The researcher developed 20 statement of questionnaire based on Arlianty (2016) and students’ achievement test scores were from the mid - term test that had been carried out by teacher at school. Analysis the data was using Pearson’s Product Moment. Based on the data analysis conducted, a correlation coefficient of 0.693 was obtained. The magnitude between these variables was moderate because it lies between the interpretation of 0.40 – 0.699. It means that there is a significant correlation between these variables. So, higher students’ interest in English teaching topics are associated with higher their learning achievement, whereas lower students’ interest in English teaching topics corresponds to lower learning achievement.

Abstract

This research was due to by several problems of students’ in the first grade in SMP N 3 Sungai Pua related to students’ achievement in English learning especially in lesson simple present tense and simple past tense. This research to determine whether there was a significant effect and whether there was significant difference using the Noticing technique on students’ achievement in lesson simple present tense and simple past tense and to determine whether students’ achievement using the noticing technique was the best than not using the noticing technique. This study was classified as a quasi-Experiment design. There was experimental group, namely the VII.B class (19 students’) and the control group namely VII.A (20 students’). Data obtained through pre-test and post-test . Pre- test was given to both groups before treatment and post-test was given after treatment.Treatment using the noticing technique was only given to the experimental group. After the data was collected, the researcher analyzed the data with a significant of α = 0,05. From the results of statistical analysis, the first hypothesis was obtained; there was a significant effect using the noticing technique on students' achievement in simple present tense and simple past tense lesson. The analyzes of the data showed that the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted because tobtained (26,46) was higher than ttable (20,93) with the level significant α of 0,05. The second hypothesis there was a significant difference using noticing technique on teaching simple present tense and simple past tense. The analyzes of the data showed that the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted because tobtained (50,13) was higher than ttable (20,86) with the level significant of α 0.05. Finally, the third hypothesis that teaching simple present tense and simple past tense for the students who were taught by using noticing technique better than the students who were taught conventional method toward student’s achievement . The analyzes of the data showed that the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted because tobtained (50,13) was higher than ttable (20,86) with the significant of α 0,05. In this manner, it may well be conclude that the noticing technique seem influenced for understandies accomplishment in learning simple present tense and simple past tense to be way better than without utilizing the taking noticing technique.

Abstract

This study investigated the impact of Visual Scaffolding Strategy on vocabulary mastery among fifth grade students at SDN 087981 Sibolga. Utilizing a pre-experimental design, the study involved 21 students who participated in six sessions, including a pre-test, four treatment sessions, and a post-test. The findings revealed a significant improvement in vocabulary scores, with the mean score increasing from 54.76 on the pre-test to 85.75 on the post-test, resulting in an increase of 30.99. Statistical analysis confirmed that the t-test value (32.1) exceeded the critical t-table value (8.40), indicating that Visual Scaffolding Strategy effectively improved vocabulary mastery in this educational context. Consequently, the null hypothesis was rejected, confirming the positive effect of the strategy on students' learning outcomes.
