Abstract

Terjadi penurunan intensitas tanam sebesar 53 % di banding pola tata eksisting.ABSTRACTThe Saddang Irrigation Area is located in Pinrang Regency, South Sulawesi Province with an area of 61,198 ha, which gets water from the Benteng Barrage, which has an average discharge of 319 m3/s and a fluctuating dependable flow between 39.8 - 328.1 m3/s Saddang Irrigation Area has an existing crop pattern of Paddy Paddy Palawija with different planting starts for each primary/secondary. The results of the calculation of the water balance with the existing cropping pattern without considering maintenance flow as an obligation that must be fulfilled, have a result it can irrigate 48.958 ha in Planting Season 1, 61.198 ha in planting season 2, and 61.198 ha in planting season 3, or irrigated 61.198 ha with 280% crop intensity. To optimize the available water, a planned crop pattern was created, by shifting the beginning of the planting season to various variations. From the results of calculations with the cropping pattern of the Paddy-Paddy-Palawija, it was found that the available water was still sufficient to irrigate an area of 61.198 ha with 300% crop intensity. If the excess water is used for additional areas, an additional area that can be irrigated is 47.016 ha with 300% crop intensity. So in the total calculation, the irrigated area is 108,214 ha with 300% crop intensity. This calculation is also without considering maintenance flow as an obligation that must be fulfilled. Under existing regulations, the maintenance flow must be allocated for river conservation. Calculation of the maintenance flow using the Tennant method, it is found that the maintenance discharge of the Benteng Barrage is 31.9 m3/s. From the results of the water balance analysis with maintenance flow as an obligation that must be fulfilled, from the calculation results obtained that the irrigated area with the Paddy-Paddy-Palawija cropping pattern, was 61.198 ha in planting season 1, 61.198 ha in planting season 2, and 16.523 ha in planting season 3, or 61.198 ha with 227% crop intensity. There was a 53 % decrease compared to the existing crop intensity.

Abstract

The agricultural sector relies heavily on the reliability of irrigation infrastructure to ensure food production stability. This study aims to evaluate the physical performance of irrigation infrastructure in the Santren Irrigation District (DI), located in Jatisari Village, Tajinan Subdistrict, Malang Regency. The Santren IR serves 50 hectares of agricultural land supported by a network of primary canals spanning 2,488.45 meters, secondary canals 198.71 meters, and tertiary canals 167.87 meters. The research method employed was quantitative descriptive, involving an inventory of damage through field surveys and visual inspections of structures and canals. Performance assessment was based on the Irrigation System Performance Index (IKSI) criteria in accordance with Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing Regulation No. 12/PRT/M/2015, which covers the physical condition of main structures, conveyance channels, control structures, and other supporting facilities. The research results indicate that the physical infrastructure at the Santren Irrigation District is generally in adequate condition. Based on calculations, the total Irrigation System Performance Index (IKSI) score was 85.29%. This score places the performance of the Santren Irrigation District’s irrigation system in the “Still Functioning Well” category. However, several technical issues were identified in the field, such as minor cracks in the concrete wall structures, corrosion on the water gates, and sediment accumulation in the sediment traps and outflow channels, which have the potential to hinder the smooth distribution of water. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the managing authority (the Public Works and Water Resources Agency of Malang Regency) implement more systematic routine maintenance, particularly sediment dredging in sediment traps and functional repairs to corroded floodgate components. In addition, improvements to the quality of inspection roads are necessary to ensure unimpeded operational access and the sustainable monitoring of the irrigation network.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the physical and functional performance of infrastructure and determine management priorities in the Beringin Irrigation Area (DI), Wajak District, which serves 131 hectares of agricultural land. Decreased performance of irrigation networks caused by sedimentation conditions and existing damage. The method used is a quantitative approach through a survey of infrastructure inventory in each irrigation network segment. Performance evaluation is carried out based on the Irrigation System Performance Index standard, which includes assessment of the physical condition and function of the building. The infrastructure of DI Beringin as a whole includes the main building (intake), carrier channels, complementary buildings, sewers, and inspection roads. The results of the study showed variations in conditions in each infrastructure component. The main building shows optimal performance with a value of 81% (Good/Routine Maintenance category). On the other hand, complementary buildings recorded the lowest value of 60.59% which indicates the category of Moderately Damaged and requires handling in the form of rehabilitation. These findings confirm that although the infrastructure is still complete in its existence, a priority management strategy is needed to prevent further degradation of function. The priority of the treatment produced is the rehabilitation of complementary buildings and sewers. Periodic maintenance for Carrier Lines and routine maintenance for main buildings and inspection roads. Medium handling priority for complementary buildings and sewer lines and low for carrier lines. The results of this study are expected to be recommendations for irrigation managers in determining the scale of maintenance priorities so that the distribution of water to agricultural land is maintained in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Sampit River is part of the Mentaya catchment area, located in the East Kotawaringin Regency, Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. Sampit River is generally used as a water supply for domestic, industrial, and livestock needs. The Mentaya River water balance shows that for the year 2030 projection, the Sampit River is expected to experience a deficit, specifically during the first period of the month of October. This research was conducted using the SSP 1 2.6 climate change scenario. In this scenario, it is estimated that rainfall will change from +2.282 to +1.020% and increase in temperature ranging from 0.441-0.793 oC within the period 2021-2030 to 2041-2050. The calculation of 90% dependable flow shows climate change impacts the period of the year 2030 to 2050 when compared to the existing dependable flow. Likewise, the 95% dependable flow for river maintenance, also increases. The research concludes that the water balance endures climate change impact and the calculated deficit remains the same for the first period of the month of October. The results of the water balance show that until 2050 climate change had not impeded negative effects but cautionary efforts must be taken as there an increasing deficits for the years 2040 and 2050.

Abstract

A drainage channel for a water structure that can properly drain water to the downstream section of a channel. A channel capable of accommodating Qrencana will be able to free the city from flooding. The issue of flooding is a concern for various parties, especially the local community, and the government also has an important role to play. The research location is on Jalan Raya Candi II, Klojen District, Malang City, East Java. The design flow calculation method uses the rational method with a 5-year and 10-year return period. The flood discharge for a 5-year return period is 3585 m3/second and for a 10-year return period is 3934 m3/second. At the research location, there are a total of 6 channel sections and after evaluation, 1 channel is still sufficient to accommodate the design flood discharge for a 5-year and 10-year return period. However, there are 5 channels that are insufficient to accommodate the design flood discharge for a 5-year and 10-year return period. For channels that are insufficient, they need to be redesigned with Q5years added to the protection height (W) and controlled with Q10years to obtain the appropriate capacity in an effort to prevent flooding at the research location. The redesign of channel 1 is b = 2.4 m and channel height = 2.1 m in the channel design. The channel dimensions are the same from channel 1 to channel 6, and a storage well is recommended to overcome surface water runoff.
