Abstract

The Use of Borax on Meatball Samples by Meatballs Traders in Kebayoran Baru Sub Distrik, South Jakarta Introduction. Borax is not an additional food category. Therefore, meatballs containing borax are notsafe for consumption. This study aims to determine borax content in meatballs by meatball traders whosell in the district of Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. The study also identified variables related to boraxuse.Methods. The type of this research is quantitative analysis with cross sectional approach. Samples takenin the form of meatballs and traders who make and sell their own meatballs permanently in the DistrictKebayoran Baru. Total samples are 56 people. Data collection was conducted from February to August2015. The results of the measurement of borax content were analyzed in a laboratory. Bivariate analysisuse Chi Square test.Results. The results showed that the positive traders used the borax of 28.6%, low education level(73.2%), knowledgeable (55.4%), long trading had more than 17 years (91.1%), had a positive attitudetoward Borax (62.5%), have good motivation (57.1%), have positive perception on regulation (58,9%),have easy to get borax (53,6%), have influence of weak friend including good (58, 9%). The result of chisquaretest showed that the variables that have statistical correlation with borax usage are education,knowledge, motivation, traders perception on the regulation, ease of obtaining materials, and guidanceand supervision.Conclusion. This research concludes that knowledge and low education become one of the causes oftraders still use borax in their meatballs. It also was influenced by low coaching and supervision.

Abstract

Paparan kebisingan yang terus menerus di tempat kerja tanpa ada upaya atau tindakan pencegahan apa pun dapat menyebabkan gangguan non-auditory. Gangguan non-auditory meliputi tiga aspek yaitu, gangguan fisiologis, gangguan psikologis, dan gangguan komunikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan gangguan non-auditory pada pekerja spinning di PT. Unitex Bogor. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain studi Cross Sectional, menggunakan teknik Quota Sampling sebanyak 52 responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada pada bulan November tahun 2020 sampai September tahun 2021.  Sebanyak 75% responden memiliki keluhan gangguan non-auditory, 90,4% jenis kelamin laki-laki, 82,7% usia tua, 53,8% masa kerja lama, 55,8% tidak memenuhi NAB, 65,4% pemakaian APT tidak patuh, 61,5% pengetahuan kurang baik, 40,4% sikap negatif. Hasil uji chi-square menunjukkan terdapat hubungan usia, masa kerja, intensitas kebisingan, pemakaian APT, pengetahuan, sikap dengan gangguan non-auditory. Sedangkan, variabel jenis kelamin tidak memiliki hubungan dengan gangguan non-auditory. Diharapkan pekerja perlu diberi pelatihan pengetahuan terkait dampak yang akan timbul dari kebisingan jika tidak menggunakan APT, agar pekerja menjadi paham apa akibat dari terpapar kebisingan jika tidak menggunakan APT saat bekerja.

Abstract

Kegiatan PPM ini sebagai salah satu upaya pencegahan kasus HIV&AIDS yang semakin meningkat pada usia remaja. Teman sebaya atau peers adalah anak-anak dengan tingkat kematangan atau usia yang kurang lebih sama. Salah satu fungsi terpenting dari kelompok teman sebaya adalah untuk memberikan sumber informasi dan komparasi tentang dunia di luar keluarga. Tujuan dalam kegiatan ini yakni dengan membentuk kelompok teman sebaya dan memberikan penyuluhan terkait HIV&AIDS. Sasaran pada kegiatan ini adalah siswa SMA Muhammadiyah 4 Jakarta, sebagai upaya Program pencegahan dan penanggulangan HIV&AIDS secara komprehensif, terpadu dan menyeluruh. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat dilakukan dengan 3 tahap yaitu tahap perencanaan, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap evaluasi. Kegiatan promosi kesehatan dengan metode penyampaian verbal, nonverbal dan penggunaan media leaflet, serta memberikan games untuk remaja agar dapat lebih efektif dan sesuai dengan tujuan kegiatan PPM ini. Hasil dari kegiatan PPM ini adalah terbentuknya kelompok teman sebaya dilingkungan SMA Muhammadiyah 4 jakarta dan terjadinya adanya peningkatan pengetahuan siswa yang mengikuti setiap kegiatan ini yang dilihat dari nilai pre dan posttest yang dilakukan tim pelaksana. Kegiatan pelatihan ini berjalan dengan baik dan lancar sesuai dengan agenda rencana yang telah dibuat. Kegiatan PPM ini diikuti oleh 80 siswa yang sangat antusias dan semangat dalam mengikuti kegiatan ini.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Adanya satu kasus difteri terkonfirmasi laboratorium secara klinis menjadi dasar suatu daerah dinyatakan sebagai KLB. Awal tahun 2018, kasus difteri dikatakan berakhir pada 85 dari 170 Kabupaten/ Kota (termasuk DKI Jakarta, Banten, dan Jawa Barat). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian difteri pada pasien anak di RSPI Prof. Dr. Sulianti Saroso tahun 2018. Metode: penelitian ini menggunakan desain case control. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 60 sampel, yaitu 20 kasus pasien difteri klinis dan terkonfirmasi laboratorium, serta 40 kontrol pasien PD3I tidak difteri. Pengambilan sampel kasus menggunakan sampling jenuh, sedangkan kontrol dengan quota sampling. Adapun kriteria inklusi kasus yaitu tercatat sebagai pasien rawat inap atau rawat jalan dan memiliki catatan rekam medis, sedangkan kriteria ekslusi kasus yaitu tidak terdapatnya catatan imunisasi. Data sekunder tentang kasus difteri diperoleh dari data surveilans dan rekam medis tahun 2018. Data dianalisis secara univariat, bivariat, dan multivariat.  Hasil: berdasarkan hasil analisis diketahui bahwa variabel status imunisasi berhubungan secara bermakna (p-value = 0.002) dan paling dominan berpengaruh (OR = 5.060) terhadap kejadian difteri pada pasien anak di RSPI Prof. Dr. Sulianti Saroso tahun 2018. Variabel konfounding dalam penelitian ini yaitu jenis kelamin (OR = 1.851) dan sosial ekonomi (OR = 1.923). Kesimpulan: status Imunisasi merupakan faktor risiko difteri pada anak. Saran: penyuluhan tentang pentingnya imunisasi lengkap kepada individu keluarga dan advokasi terhadap stakeholder dilakukan secara lebih optimal.

Abstract

Seaweed is a biological resource that many found in Indonesia. The use of seaweed in Indonesiaas a source of food is still limited. While seaweed has a bioactive compound that is very benefcialfor health. Seaweed processing among seaweed farmers is still very limited. So far, seaweedfarmers process seaweed into dry form only, not yet made into semi-fnished products. Thepurpose of this research was to learn how to extract seaweed that can be applied at the level ofseaweed farmers to produce ATC (alkali treatment carrageenan) which contains fber, calcium,and natural iodine. The extracting solution used was KOH with concentrations of 6%, 7%, and8%. The yield of ATC (alkali treatment carrageenan) obtained from seaweed extraction processwith 8% KOH yields the highest yield (32,5%), ash 12,03%, carbohydrate 24,93%, and calcium927,15 mg / l. The extraction of seaweed with KOH 6% yields the highest crude fber (23,62%)and iodine 8,36%.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Fire cases during 2017 experienced an increase from the previous year, therefore many firefighters experienced fatigue. This study aims to determine the level of fatigue experienced by officers and to find out related factors associated with work fatigue. This is quantitative research with cross sectional study design with technique total sampling as much 61 person. Data collection is done by interview and direct measurement. Analysis of univariate data show that 83,6% respondents are aged, 62,3% respondents normal nutritional status, 82% respondents year of service old, 54,1% respondents not enough sleep duration, 54,1% respondent with not good work time, 52,5% respondent with smoking status and 83,6% do not have history of disease. Based of statistical test use person chi square the results show that there was a relation between age (p value = 0,018), year of service (p value = 0,009), sleep duration (p value = 0,028), work time (p value = 0,028), smoking status (p value = 0,015), with work fatigue at firefighters and rescue services offices in South Jakarta Year 2018. Efforts are needed to eliminate or reduce work fatigue at firefighters by providing adequate rest periods and dividing tasks in accordance with the age and working period of the officers, and can provide counseling and installation of posters about the dangers of smoking. Abstract

One of the pillars of public health is nutrition which is an essential part of the growth and development of children. Nutrition has a close relationship with intelligence and health. Good and correct nutritional intake is needed so that children grow and develop optimally. This activity aims to form young community health and nutrition cadres at the Tanah Abang 1 Orphanage. The method used in this activity is the delivery of material, and then knowledge is measured before and after the children are given the material. The results of the Statistical Paired-Samples T-Test on the participants' pre and post-test results, the p-value was 0.005 (p-value <0.05), meaning that there was a significant difference between participants' knowledge before and after being given the material. In conclusion, this activity can increase knowledge about becoming a cadre of public health and nutrition.

Abstract

Slaughterhouse is one of the facilities that can produce meat products with safe, healthy, whole and halal quality but there are still many things that must be considered related to slaughterer hygiene and waste management sanitation because slaughterhouse activities produce waste and are closely related to cross contamination . The purpose of this study was to determine the personal hygiene of butchers and sanitation of waste management in slaughterhouses. This research was conducted at the Depok City Slaughterhouse with descriptive qualitative type. Data were obtained from 7 informants consisting of 3 animal butchers and 2 Sanitation and Waste Management Coordination Staff as main informants, 1 head of UPTD RPH as key informants and 1 cleaning officer as supporting informant using structured interview guidelines, observation and document review conducted on March-December 2021. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation and decision making. The results of the study found that the variables that met the requirements of Minister of Agriculture No. 13 of 2010 and SNI 01-6159- 1999 were Slaughterhouses (is this a variable? The dependent variable, ma'am), Availability of Trash Cans, Availability of SPAL, Sanitation of Slaughterhouses, Waste Management Behavior. does not meet the requirements, namely Health of Butchers or Workers, Personal Protective Equipment, Handwashing Behavior. The researcher's advice for the abattoir is to always supervise and provide and complete the facilities needed by butchers and workers. Keywords: Butcher, Slaughterhouse

Abstract

The Islamic Health Promoting University (I-HELP U) is an initiative program by Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. DR. HAMKA as a health promotion program integrating both health and Islamic values. The pilot programs were implemented between September – November 2021. This study aimed to evaluate I-HELP U’s pilot programs, which consist of need assessment, health literacy, advocacy, and healthy behavior practices. The needs assessment was conducted to assess the baseline data of nutritional status and unhealthy lifestyles. Health literacy was performed to improve nutrition knowledge among participants. Advocacy was implemented to assist the production of regulation documents to support the program. Healthy behavior practices were implemented to improve the health-promoting behavior among participants. The results show that there were improvements in targeted outcomes on the initiative (policy documents establishment), participation (1,904 respondents of needs assessment, 300 participants in webinars, and 1,700 YouTube views), and knowledge level (p<0.05). The university leaders show a strong commitment in the policy-making to support I-HELP U since UHAMKA holds a vision to be a prophetic teaching university. This basic value supports the effort of I-HELP U to institutionalize the programs since it integrates Islamic values in the content. Future dissemination of the programs and regulations should be provided massively to all university academic communities.
