Abstract

This research is a classroom action research. The problem formulated in this study is whether through a mathematical realistic approach can improve the results of junior high school students' results on set material? The aim is to examine increasing mastery of set concepts. This research was conducted on students of class VII-C SMP PGRI Arjasari 2019/2020 school year with a total of 36 students. The instrument used was a test of learning outcomes as a test of students' mastery of mathematical concepts, for initial tests (before action), cycle I tests and II (after giving the action), and observation sheet at the time of giving and implementing the action. The results of the analysis obtained based on written tests carried out there was an increase in the average learning outcomes In the second cycle, the first meeting average value of 70.1 with the highest value of 90 and the lowest value of 45. After carrying out the actions in the second cycle of the second meeting there was an increase in the results student learning. This is seen in the average value of 80.92 with the highest value of 100 and the lowest value of 50. The percentage of classical completeness increased from the first cycle of meeting 1 by 25% and meeting 2 by 38%. Furthermore, in the second cycle also increased, at the first meeting 69% to 86%. Means that had reached more than or equal to the specified KKM 70. At the end of the first cycle student learning outcomes seen that at the end of the first cycle the percentage of learning completeness was 38% and does not meet the classical learning completeness criteria that have been determined, then the research is continued to the second cycle. After the implementation of the second cycle, shows that at the end of the second cycle learning achievement reached 86% with the number of students who completed as many as 31 students, meaning completeness based on the number of students when that is 36 people, because there are 5 people who haven't finished.

Abstract

Technological skills in Indonesian society need to be trained in order to be socially competent and able to face challenges in the future. The gap that occurs at this time is the rapid development of technology so that human resources are not ready to optimize it properly. The author designs Canva-assisted interactive learning media integrated with the CIRC (Cooperative Integrated and Reading Composition) learning model so that students as one of the human resources can be motivated in significant technological developments. This research uses a Design Research approach with the stages of Preliminary Study, Formative Evaluation and Summative Evaluation. This research was conducted in one of the Junior High Schools in Cianjur Regency. After a series of stages were carried out, the responses given by students to the media developed in the visual group were in the average range of 4-5. This shows that the learning media developed gets a good response and is feasible to use in learning mathematics, especially building materials. It is hoped that this media can be developed on other materials and can motivate other math teachers.

Abstract

The ability to solve mathematical problems is one of the basic skills that is very important for every student to have. This ability not only contributes to the understanding of mathematical concepts, but is also important to support an active and interesting learning process. Therefore, the development of interactive Student Worksheets is very necessary. This study aims to develop worksheet with a Problem Based Learning model supported by video media. The method used in this study is a research design that is divided into two parts, namely planning design and formative evaluation design which includes: 1) expert assessment, 2) individual evaluation, 3) small groups, and 4) proposed trials. The subjects of this study consisted of 40 students at SMPN 2 Cimahi. The data collection techniques used were interviews, documentation studies, questionnaires in the form of scales to validate the feasibility and practicality of the developed teaching materials, in addition, a collection of questions was also used to measure the effectiveness of the developed teaching materials. The data processing process was carried out using quantitative and qualitative methods. The conclusion of this study shows that worksheet is very valid, practical, and effective in improving the mathematical problem-solving abilities of junior high school students. Therefore, this worksheet is worthy of being used in the mathematics learning process.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menelaah perbedaan kemampuan penalaran matematik siswa antara yang pembelajarannya menggunakan pendekatan metakognitif dengan pembelajaran konvensional ditinjau dari Habits of Mind (HOM). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa Program studi Pendidikan Matematika IKIP Siliwangi Bandung, sedangkan sampelnya dipilih dua kelas Angkatan 2017 dari 4 kelas yang ada. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah berbentuk tes yang berupa soal uraian sebanyak 5 soal, dan non tes berupa angket skala likert dengan 32 pernyataan. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan uji anova dua jalur menggunakan SPSS. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data didapat hasil terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran metakognitif terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematik siswa, terdapat pengaruh Habits of Mind terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematik siswa dan tidak terdapat interaksi antara pendekatan pembelajaran metakognitif dan Habits of Minds terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematik siswa

Abstract

The low creative thinking of junior high school students and the lack of use of ICT-based learning media are problems in this study. The research aims to determine the effectiveness of scientific learning with the help of VBA Excel in students' creative thinking. The experimental method is the method used in this study with a Non Equivalent Control Group Design, the samples were taken from two classes in one junior high school in the city of Cimahi. The instrument used is in the form of a creative thinking ability test, which consists of 5 questions. The results in this study conclude that scientific learning with the help of VBA Excel is more effective than ordinary learning in terms of creative thinking skills.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan penalaran matematis dan habits of mind siswa SMP pada materi segiempat dan segitiga. Metode penelitian mengunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Tempat penelitian dilaksanakan di salah satu SMP kota Cimahi pada kelas VII semester genap tahun ajaran 2017-2018. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII di salah satu SMP kota Cimahi pada materi materi segiempat dan segitiga. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII. Untuk memperoleh data penelitian digunakan instrumen berupa tes soal uraian dan angket habits of mind. Hasil penelitian didapat kesimpulan: tingkat kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa dalam penyelesaian masih rendah, kesulitan siswa pada umumnya belum memahami soal dan pemahaman konsep masih rendah dan siswa belum terbiasa berpikir dalam belajar. ABSTRACT: This study aims to analyze the ability of mathematical reasoning and habits of mind of junior high school students in rectangular and triangular material. This research method using qualitative descriptive method. The place of research is conducted in one of junior high school Cimahi in class VII even semester of academic year 2017-2018. The population of this study is the students of class VII in one of junior high school Cimahi on material material quadrilateral and triangle. The subjects of the study were students of class VII. To obtain the research data used the instrument in the form of test description and questionnaire habits of mind. The results of the research concluded: the level of students' mathematical reasoning ability in the settlement is still low, students' difficulties in general have not understood the problem and understanding the concept is still low, students are not used to thinking in learning.

Abstract

Matematika esensial untuk membentuk pola pikir logis, analitis, dan sistematis. Namun, hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa masih rendah. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan E-LKPD (Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik Elektronik) berbasis Discovery Learning yang diintegrasikan melalui Google Sites untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa SMP. Penelitian ini mengadopsi model pengembangan Plomp yang telah direvisi, meliputi tiga tahap utama: preliminary research, development (prototyping), dan assessment. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X di sebuah SMK di Kota Cimahi. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi lembar validasi ahli, angket kepraktisan, dan tes kemampuan penalaran matematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa E-LKPD tergolong valid dan layak digunakan berdasarkan penilaian ahli. Uji kepraktisan mengonfirmasi bahwa E-LKPD mudah digunakan dan mendukung proses pembelajaran. Lebih lanjut, uji efektivitas membuktikan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa. Kesimpulannya, E-LKPD berbasis Discovery Learning melalui Google Sites ini merupakan solusi inovatif dalam pembelajaran matematika yang efektif meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa.Mathematics is essential for developing logical, analytical, and systematic thinking patterns. However, studies show that students' mathematical reasoning abilities are still low. Therefore, this study aims to develop an electronic student worksheet (LKPD) based on Discovery Learning integrated with Google Sites to improve junior high school students' mathematical reasoning abilities. This study adopted the revised Plomp development model, which includes three main stages: preliminary research, development (prototyping), and assessment. The subjects were 10th-grade students at a vocational high school in Cimahi City. The instruments used included an expert validation sheet, a practicality questionnaire, and a mathematical reasoning ability test. The results showed that the E-LKPD was valid and feasible to use based on expert assessment. The practicality test confirmed that the E-LKPD was easy to use and supported the learning process. Furthermore, the effectiveness test demonstrated a significant improvement in students' mathematical reasoning abilities. In conclusion, the Discovery Learning-based E-LKPD through Google Sites is an innovative solution in mathematics learning that effectively improves students' mathematical reasoning abilities.
