Abstract

This study aims to increase Vo2Max and hand strength of handball athletes. This research is a pretest and posttest experimental research. The population in this study was the men's handball team of Lampung Province, totaling 18 athlete. The sample in this study used total sampling. The data obtained were then analyzed using SPSS (Version 21) to assess differences in physical conditions before and after treatment. The significant level at 0.05. High intensity interval training (HIIT) & Sprint Interval Training (SIT) workouts significantly increase VO2Max endurance. Body weight training exercises significantly increase hand strength endurance. The coach has to pay attention to two things: first, whether the measurement test is by the characteristics of the handball. Second, the athlete's performance in this research must improve by the treatment. There needs to be a particular measurement test instrument for handball athletes. Various treatments to improve athlete performance need to study in much literature.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memetakan dan mereview penerapan instrumen pengukuran kondisi fisik pada atlet pencak dengan mengunakan sumber data Garuda. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif berdasarkan investigasi bibliometrik dan literature review. Diperoleh 48 jurnal nasional terakreditasi Sinta berdasarkan topik penelitian yang disesuaikan dengan tujuan penulisan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan 5 kelompok klaster dari topik penelitian. Dari hasil studi literatur review diperoleh 75% artikel mengunakan istilah “kondisi fisik” dalam mengukur kemampuan fisik atlet pencak silat. Studi ini menunjukan komponen tes yang paling konsisten diteliti adalah 1. fleksibilitas 2. kecepatan 3. kekuatan 4. kelincahan 5. daya tahan aerobik/anaerobik 6. keseimbangan 7. Power. Alat tes yang digunakan seperti: Multistage Fitness Test/bleep, Sit dan rich, sprint 30 meter, tes push-up, sit-up, dan wall sit, side steps, Vertical Power Jump Test. Menariknya hanya 27,7% yang menjelaskan petunjuk pengunaan tes, atau memiliki prosedure dalam pelaksanaan penelitian. Sehingga diperlukan pedoman standar dalam mengukur kondisi fisik atlet pencak silat. Panduan ini harus mencakup protokol pengukuran, alat yang digunakan, dan prosedur pelaksanaan yang jelas agar hasil lebih valid dan reliabel. Kolaborasi antara peneliti, pelatih, dan organisasi pencak silat untuk menyusun standar pengukuran kondisi fisik. Dengan adanya konsensus, akan lebih mudah menerapkan standar ini dalam kompetisi maupun pembinaan atlet di berbagai tingkatan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas program latihan fisik yang diterapkan pada atlet sepakbola Excavator FC dalam rangka persiapan kompetisi. Program latihan yang diterapkan mencakup latihan kardiorespirasi, kekuatan, kelincahan, dan ketahanan, yang disusun untuk meningkatkan kondisi fisik secara menyeluruh. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan pengukuran kondisi fisik atlet sebelum dan setelah periode latihan selama tiga bulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada beberapa aspek fisik, termasuk kecepatan (8% peningkatan pada tes lari 20 meter), daya tahan kardiovaskular (15% peningkatan pada tes beep test), kekuatan otot (10% peningkatan pada tes vertical jump), dan kelincahan (6% pengurangan waktu pada tes shuttle run). Meskipun program latihan terbukti efektif, tantangan dalam implementasinya termasuk kebutuhan untuk menyeimbangkan antara intensitas latihan fisik dan aspek taktis-tekis permainan sepakbola. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar program latihan lebih terintegrasi, dengan penyesuaian intensitas berdasarkan kondisi atlet, serta peningkatan variasi latihan untuk mencegah kejenuhan dan memaksimalkan hasil. Secara keseluruhan, hasil penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan program latihan fisik yang lebih efektif dalam persiapan kompetisi sepakbola.

Abstract

Physical Education (PE) in the Indonesian Merdeka Curriculum demands learning approaches that extend beyond motor skill acquisition to encompass Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS)—specifically the cognitive abilities of analyzing, evaluating, and creating as conceptualized in the revised Bloom's Taxonomy. This study aimed to empirically examine the effectiveness of integrating HOTS through two sequential learning models—Cooperative Learning (Jigsaw type) in Cycle I and Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) in Cycle II—within a PE setting at the senior secondary school level. A Classroom Action Research (CAR) design based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model was employed across two cycles, each comprising planning, acting, observing, and reflecting phases. Participants were 68 Grade X students (34 per class) from [School Name], [City], selected via purposive sampling based on curricular and academic homogeneity. Data were collected through a validated written HOTS test (20 items; Cronbach's α = 0.82), a structured student activity observation sheet, and an 18-item student perception questionnaire (Likert 5-point scale). Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and normalized N-Gain scores; qualitative data from observations and open-ended items were analyzed thematically. Results demonstrated a progressive and significant increase in mean HOTS scores from a baseline of 43.2 to 58.3 at the end of Cycle I and 74.7 at the end of Cycle II (N-Gain Cycle I→II = 0.39, Moderate category). The proportion of students meeting the minimum competency criterion (MCC = 70) rose from 17.6% (baseline) to 76.5% (Cycle II). Active student engagement increased from 61% (Cycle I) to 83% (Cycle II), and 87% of students reported positive perceptions of the integrated learning approach by the end of Cycle II. The study concludes that the sequential integration of Cooperative Learning and IBL constitutes an effective and mutually reinforcing pedagogical strategy for developing HOTS in PE, and is strongly aligned with the Pancasila Student Profile competency dimensions mandated by the Merdeka Curriculum.
