Abstract

Pernikahan beda agama terjadi sebagai suatu realitas yang tidak dapat dipungkiri. Ada berbagai macam alasan mengapa pernikahan beda agama semakin meningkat jumlahnya, yaitu meningkatnya mobilitas penduduk yang memungkinkan mereka untuk berinteraksi dengan orang yang berlatarbelakang berbeda dan meningkatnya toleransi serta penerimaan antar pemeluk agama yang berbeda. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut. 1) Menganalisis pernikahan beda agama yang sering terjadi di Kelurahan Bendan Ngisor Kecamatan Gajah Mungkur Kota Semarang. 2) Menganalisis pola perlakuan pasangan beda agama terhadap anak. 3) Menganalisis implikasi pernikahan beda agama terhadap pola asuh anak. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Selanjutnya untuk menguji keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini digunakan teknik triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teori. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagai berikut. 1) Pernikahan beda agama merupakan hal biasa yang dilakukan masyarakat di Kelurahan Bendan Ngisor yang disebabkan oleh hubungan asmara yang mendalam, menikah beda agama di luar negeri karena ekonomi mendukung, pendatang baru (menikah di wilayah lain lalu pindah dan menetap di Kelurahan Bendan Ngisor), dan hal biasa yang dilakukan oleh pihak keluarga. Hal ini sesuai dengan teori sosial Piere Bourdieu tentang habitus. Namun walaupun sudah menjadi kebiasaan, pernikahan beda agama tetap tidak sesuai dengan hukum agama maupun hukum negara di Indonesia, sehingga penyusupan yang dilakukan bagi pasangan yang menikah termasuk ke dalam pelanggaran terhadap Undang-Undang. 2) Pola perlakuan pasangan beda agama terhadap anak di Kelurahan Bendan Ngisor lebih cenderung pada pola perlakuan acceptance (penerimaan) dan permissiveness (pembolehan). 3) Pola asuh yang diterapkan pasangan beda agama lebih cenderung pada pola asuh demokratis, yang berdampak positif terhadap perkembangan anak.

Abstract

Sebagai salah satu kawasan yang terkena rob, masyarakat di Desa Bedono dituntut untuk mengadakan suatu perubahan sosial agar mereka tetap dapat bertahan dari dampak-dampak yang ditimbulkan oleh rob. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pola fluktuasi rob berdampak terhadap aktivitas masyarakat di desa Bedono yang pada akhirnya menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Analisis terhadap perubahan sosial akan disesuaikan dengan teori AGIL Talcott Parsons. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa di Desa Bedono terjadi rob dua kali dalam sehari dan rob-rob besar bulan April hingga Juni, setiap bulan terdapat 2 kali rob tinggi. Dampak rob terhadap aktivitas masyarakat yakni hilangnya mata pencaharian seperti dialami para petani tambak, terganggunya akses transportasi, adanya berbagai lapangan kerja baru. Dampak rob terhadap perubahan sosial masyarakat di Desa Bedono yakni dari tempat tinggal, mata pencaharian, air bersih, sistem pertambakan, hingga sistem sosial masyarakat di desa Bedono. As one of area that strikes rob, society at Bedono village is charged to arrange a changing that social they are constant get last of impact that evoked by rob. This research is attributed to know how rob's fluctuation pattern impacted to society activity at Bedono village that on eventually cause its happening changing social. This research utilize kualitatif's approaching. Analisis to social change will be adjusted by AGIL Talcott Parsons's theory. The result from this research showing at Bedono village happens two-time rob deep one day and rob rob outgrows month of April until June, each month available 2 rob's times high. rob's impact to society activity namely a loss living as is experienced farmers embanks, it troubles transportation access, mark sense various new employment. rob's impact to societies social change at Bedonovillage namely of home, living, fresh water, system about fishpond, until society social system at Bedono village.

Abstract

Industrialisasi merupakan proses perubahan masyarakat dari sistem sosial dan ekonomi. Segala aspek masyarakat dan lingkungannya turut bergeser. Pada industri galangan kapal tradisional di Kelurahan Karangasem Utara mampu menyediakan lapangan pekerjaan yang berpendapatan rata-rata 2 milyar pertahun. Keadaan ini yang mendesak masyarakat pekerja galangan kapal merubah gaya hidup yang terkonsentrasi pada aspek pemenuhan kebutuhan dan menyampingkan aspek perkembangan pendidikan anak-anaknya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan gaya hidup pekerja industri galangan kapal di kelurahan karangasem utara kecamatan batang. Subjek dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan teknik Purposive Sampling digunakan untuk mengetahui gaya hidup pekerja, aktivitas dan dampak perkembangan industri yang meliputi 3 pekerja di setiap industri galangan kapal yang berjumlah 17 industri. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, dokumentasi, dan observasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif persentatif yang dilanjutkan dengan analisis data triangulasi untuk menguji keabsahan data. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dengan didukung oleh teori gaya hidup yang dikemukakan oleh Mead dan Chaney menyatakan bahwa pekerja mempunyai beberapa bentuk gaya hidup yaitu industri gaya hidup, iklan gaya hidup, public relations dan journalisme gaya hidup, gaya hidup mandiri, dan gaya hidup hedonisme. Pekerja galangan kapal memiliki gaya hidup mandiri sebanyak 47%, gaya hidup penampilan sebanyak 4%, iklan gaya hidup sebanyak 10%, gaya hidup public relations sebanyak 25%, dan gaya hidup hedonisme sebanyak 14% dari jumlah sampel penelitian 51 orang. Aktivitas industri yaitu produksi dan pemasaran. Adapun dampak perkembangan industri yang meliputi; meningkatkan pendapatan, mengurangi kemiskinan, membuka lapangan pekerjaan, munculnya kerjasama, persaingan antar industri, kesempatan kerja, dan kerusakan lingkungan. Saran ditujukan untuk masyarakat pekerja supaya mengurangi pola hidup yang berkembang ke arah negatif dan lebih meningkatkan motivasi dan etos kerja. Untuk pemilik dan pengurus industri hendaknya melakukan kegiatan industri yang berkelanjutan dan ramah lingkungan.Industrialization is the process of changing society from social and economic system. All aspects of society, culture and environment has changed. In traditional shipbuilding industry in Karangasem Utara is able to provide employments who earn an average of 2 billion annually. This situation changes the lifestyles of shipbuilding industry workers; fulfilling the aspect of economic needs than educational development of their children. The aim of this study was to describe the lifestyle of the shipbuilding industry workers in Karangasem Utara, Batang regency. The research subject in this study were all workers of shipbuilding industry in the village of Karangasem Utara. The sample in this study were taken by purposive sampling technique which was used to determine the lifestyle of the workers, the activity and the impact of industrial development that were three workers from each shipbuilding industry of 17 industries. The technique of collecting data used interviews, documentation, and observation. Data were analyzed using descriptive percentage analysis followed by triangulation data analysis to test the validity of the data. The research was based on the theory of lifestyle proposed by Mead and Chaney, stated that people have some forms of lifestyle that are industry lifestyle, advertising lifestyle, public relations and journalism lifestyle, independent lifestyle and hedonistic lifestyle. The result of the study showed that there were 47% of 51 people of the total sample had independent lifestyle, 4% for appearance lifestyle, 10% for advertising lifestyle, 25% for public relations lifestyle and 14% for hedonistic lifestyle. Moreover, industrial activities are about production and marketing. The impacts of industrial development are improving living-standards (income), decreasing poverty, creating jobs, having cooperation, competing of inter-industry, employment, having new cultures and having environment damages. The suggestions are the shipbuilding workers should decrease the negative lifestyle and improve the motivation and work ethic. The owners and managers should be aware of the community’ housing complex, doing sustainable industrial activity and establishing environmental-friendly.

There were various of reasons why interfaith marriage is increasing in numbersuch as, the increasing mobility of people that allowing them to interact with people from different backgrounds and increasing tolerance and acceptance among people of different religions. The purpose of this study was carried out: (1) To analyze the interfaith marriage that often occurred in Bendan Ngisor village, Gajah Mungkur district of Semarang. (2) To analyze the pattern of interfaith couples treatment against children. (3) To analyze the implications of interfaith marriage to education of children (parenting). The approach used in this researchwas qualitative method. The procedures of collecting data were observation, interviews, and documentation. Furthermore, to test the validity of the data in this research used triangulation techniques of source and theory. The results of this research showed that: (1) The Interfaith marriage is odinary things which conducted by society in Bendan Ngisor district that caused by deeply relationship, interfaith marriage in abroad because of economic support, newcomer (they marriaged in other area than moved and settled in Bendan Ngisor village, and ordinary thing that conducted by the family, it was accordance to social theory of Pierre Bourdieu about “habitus”. Although it was become a habit, interfaith marriage is still not in accordance with religious law and law in Indonesia, so that infiltration married couple belongingto offense of law. (2) The pattern of interfaith couple’s treatment against children in Sub Bendan Ngisor were more likely in treatment patterns acceptance and permissiveness. (3) The interfaith couples applied parenting were more likely in a democratic parenting style, which was a positive impact on child development.

Abstract

The role of parents influences the informal education of children. Informal education is education obtained from families and the surrounding environment. This study aims to determine the parenting style in informal child education in beggar families in Hadipolo Village, Jekulo District, Kudus Regency and to know the social interaction of beggar children in the community. The research method is qualitative. The informants in this study were beggars 'families, beggars' children and surrounding communities who met the data needs in the study. Data validity techniques using data triangulation techniques. Data analysis is carried out through four stages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of the study show that informal education in beggar families runs even though informal education is more obtained from the community than the family environment itself. Informal education does not run completely in the family because of one of the factors, namely the lack of parental education and lack of parental time with children. Lastly the social interaction between beggar children and the community of the Hadipolo Chinatown complex is said to be running because of the similarity of the fate of the residents of the Chinatown complex. Unlike the case when interacting with the Hadipolo community which is already outside the community relations complex, the Chinatown complex cannot be said to be good, because of the historical factors that resulted in the interaction being reduced.

Abstract

Tidal flood is a natural phenomenon that often occurs in coastal areas and will be even greater with the increase in sea level due to global warming. Kemijen Village is located in Semarang Timur Sub-District, Semarang City, has a high population density and high slum area. This adds vulnerability to tidal flood, so it is necessary to adapt with tidal flood to reduce the impact. Adaptation is done so that the tidal flood that occurs does not have a more severe impact on the people living in the area. The purpose of this research is to analyze the adaptation of the society in coping with tidal flood in Kemijen Village. This research used a qualitative approach with in-depth research. The results of the research show that the adaptation made by the society to tidal flood is adaptation to the place of residence, adaptation to public facilities and social facilities, and social adaptation. Based on the theory of the level adaptation by Wohlwill it has been known that the adaptation of the society to the place of residence has not reached optimal levels. This research has the aim can be used as input for the development of science in this case related to adaptation in overcoming tidal floods.

Abstract

Bagimu Negeriku Vocational High School covers students from diverse cultural, religious, racial and ethnic backgrounds. This security requires the school to instill multicultural values in order to create a harmonious environment. The study aims to analyze the implementation of multicultural values applied by the school. This study was conducted qualitatively with a phenomenology approach. The research data sources were students, social studies teachers, student representatives, and school principals. The technique of data collecting were interviews, observations, and document studies which were tested for their validity through the source manipulation technique. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of multicultural values includes the value of justice; the school applies all students fairly, for example, the school does not distinguish students based on good deeds, both men and women have the same rights. The value of diversity; the school divides the composition of the class with a variety of students both from different tribes, different religions, and different areas of origin so that each class is a heterogeneous class. The value of freedom; it is embodied in some activities including the selection of extracurricular activities, and the value of solidarity; the school upholds the principle of "Sama Rata, Sama Rasa."

Abstract

The PBL is more appropriately applied to social studies material that contains social problems. The teacher as a facilitator in implementing the PBL. But in reality, the PBL cannot be applied by all teachers and the presentation of the problem isn’t yet a real problem around the students. The research purpose was to analyze the presentation of factual problems, application of the PBL, and finding the obstacles experienced. The research method is a descriptive percentage that describes the presentation of the problem and the application. The population is ten social sciences teachers from different schools in Ungaran. The sample is a lesson plan from ten social sciences teachers in VII grade. Data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research result showed that the analysis of the problem presentation was quite good at 67%, six teachers use PBL from ten teachers, and Application of the 100% PBL according to the syntax. Constraints are the lack of willingness of teachers in determining problems, and time allocation arrangements are still inappropriate. The conclusion is that not all teachers can use the PBL, and the problem presentation is less factual. Teachers should be more active and creative in applying the PBL.

Abstract

The lecture method using abstract examples makes it difficult for students to understand social studies subject matter. This causes students not to be able to develop potential and passive learning activities. Therefore, effective learning models are needed and can trigger the activeness of students. Problem-based learning (PBL) model and the use of audio-visual media are among the recommended learning models in Curriculum 2013 to improve the quality of learning. The purpose of this study is to examine differences in problem-solving abilities and to learn motivation between students who are given learning using audio-visual aided problem-based learning models, problem-based learning models, and lecture methods (conventional models). This study uses a quasi-experimental design in the form of a non-equivalent control group design. The research population is class VIII students, Public Junior High School 14 Pekalongan City with 242 students, with three sample classes, namely class VIII-C, class VIII-D, and class VIII-E. Based on the pre-test and post-test data, problem-solving ability and motivation questionnaire were statistically processed using the ANOVA test, Fvalue > Ftable, then H1 was accepted while H0 was rejected. The results showed there were differences in problem-solving abilities, and learning motivation between students learning with PBL assisted models with audio-visual, PBL models, and lecture methods.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the character education implementation in the fourth-grade thematics learning of primary schools. This research applies a descriptive qualitative method. The technique of collecting the data is purposive sampling. The subjects consisted of SD Islam Al Madina, SDN Petompon 01, and SD Marsudirini. The techniques for collecting the data were deep interviews, observation, and documentation. The techniques of the data validity were a source and method triangulation. The findings showed the character education on thematic learning of the fourth graders of the schools had been promoted by integrating the character values in three stages. They were planning, acting, and evaluating. Each stage had different activities and internalized different character values. They were adjusted with the specific features, vision, mission, and objectives of the schools. The implications of this research are to describe the ways to implement character education in thematic learning at Primary Schools. Thus, the character values could be internalized well for the students during the classroom learning activity.
