Abstract

Advanced in the field of fracture mechanics have helped to offset some of the potential dangers posed by increase technologycomplexity. Our understanding of how materials fail and our ability to prevent such failures has increased considerably since World War II. Much remains to be learned, however, and existting knowledge of fracture mechanics is not always applied when appropriate. In the first instance, existing procedures are sufficient to avoid failure, but are not followed by one ore more of the parties involved, due to human error, ignorance, or willfull misconduct. Poor workmanship, inappropriate, or substandard materials, error in stress analysis, and operator error are examples of where the appropriate technology and experience are available, but not applied.

Abstract

Batteries are indispensable as the driving force or as a supply of energy on the use of electronic equipment. In certain circumstances the charging of the grid is a difficult, so we need a charger that can be taken anywhere (portable) without need of electricity grid, and therefore solar or solar power is used for this reason. The main components of this device is a solar cell (as an input to convert solar energy into electrical energy), battery charger circuit (as a controller), the LED indicator (as an indicator of charging battery), and battery (voltage 12 V). This tool is used when there is supply of energy from sunlight is converted into electrical energy through solar cells.

Abstract

Wireless Sensor Network is a combination between SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition System) system with ad hoc wireless network. This wireless sensor network has already developed very fastly few years lately, because application of wireless sensor network are used in many field. It is necessary to plan for building wireless sensor network precisely so that using energy is not wasted. In this tesis a writer has already survey some aspect on wireless sensor network so that the goal for efficiency energy can be achieved like localization node, time synchronization, modulation, transmit power, size of packet, access medium techniques, network topology and so on. The combination of all the above techniques to plan wireless sensor network that work using a battery give result a wireless sensor network with each node has a capability long life till some years without having replacement for the battery

Abstract

In the distribution system generally has some disorder that consists of a short circuit between phase, three-phase, two-phase to ground, single phase to ground. It can result from this short circuit, which will cause an overcurrent / short-circuit current depends on the length of the existing relay adjustment in the outgoing feeder. In order for the distribution of electricity has a high quality and reliability, the electrical equipment must have protection from any form of interference that may cause interruption of service. This research will discuss the setting adjustment disorders relay single phase to ground, phase-to-phase disorders, as well as examination of the working time relay so we get a better understanding of the working time relay if the current disruption of the distribution system.

Abstract

Increasing electricity demand in various sectors of the consumer in line with the development in the area indicates that the area is growing. In order to overcome these problems and to develop the electricity network is economical but efficient. Analysis loading unit network settings on a power system is very important. One method given in this paper is to approach the analysis of technical data network. Optimal use of the network is required in order to obtain concessions that benefit both economically and technically. So the network is not overly burdened and no less in the assignment. Of technical data that is in the field will get the value that indicates the magnitude of the density of the network load. And what will be required of network development.

Abstract

Hydroelectric solar energy Photovoltaic/Solar in addition can be used to program the rural electricity, solar energy utilization opportunities such as street lighting lamps as well as for the survival of the industry and small and medium enterprises. At solar power plants is also still there needs to be some development in managementcharging, this needs to be done in order for the resulting damage to the quality of mecegah power, namely the irregular voltage too high and sometimes too low from the solar cells towards the battery. Solar power plant comprises a PV panel change sunlight into direct current (DC), charging circuits for charging the battery, the charger system served as the heart of electric power generation system of solar power, which the battery used for electric power storage. This study is develop an intelligent system software architecture for Solar Charger Controler and used to arrange direct current to disuply battery by solar energy and transmitted to the load-based fuzzy logic. This simulation is expected to be implemented in a tool that serves as a charging in excess of set flush from the solar panel to batterybased fuzzy. Solar Charger controler based Fuzzy logic can be applied automatically regulates battery charging battery charging and limit if the voltage at the battery with charging function and organize the liberation of current from the battery to the load. software used In this study is Matrix Laboratory (MATLAB) used to simulate fuzzy logic controller as a regulator of the output voltage of boost converter after the solar cells. And managed to simulate the control of the voltage and current that entered the battery, battery filling in the range of 95%.

Abstract

Solar Street Lighting Light (PJU-TS) is a street lighting that uses sunlight as a source of electrical energy. The Solar Street Lighting (PJU-TS) is very suitable for roads in areas not covered by PLN electricity and also areas experiencing electrical energy crisis especially in remote areas. But recently PJU Solar Power is also rife applied in urban areas such as in the main streets, residential street, garden lights, campus area, factory area, bus stops, parking lots, gas stations (gas stations) and so on. In the process of designing the lamps for the first PJU is to determine the load installed,then calculate the number of solar panels or photovoltaic needs, then calculate the battery requirements and determine the capacity of the battery charge regulator (BCR). Then for PJU lamps to operate automatically installed light sensor or light dependent resistor (LDR) as a switch to turn on and off PJU lights. Then after all in the know then in the process of development researchers observed about how the performance of the controller in terms of automatic mode, manually circuit and its equipment components as well as sensors and modems. Abstract

Auxiliary transformers are the main equipment that is vital as voltage supplier to various equipment – equipment mounted on a plant. Without good maintenance it will affect the performance of transformer, based on research of Joko Susilo, Abdul Syahkur (2012) that maintenance of power transformer is done to maintain the effectiveness and endurance of electric power system so that the channelling is maintained well. This study aims to provide information on transformer condition early for PT Indonesia Power UP Mrica. Dwirahayu Widhiyanti (2016) argued to prevent damage caused some maintenance, among others, the examination of visual conditions, isolation testing and comparison of transformer. To perform isolation and ratio resistance testing, this test was conducted usng literature study method, which used the standard of IEC 60076-3:2000-03, ANSI C57.12.90 and PT PLN (Persero) P3B engineering sequence. In this test, the isolation resistance obtained and the ratio of the Auxiliary transformer in which the isolation resistance of PS T15 transformer is in good condition and bad condition because LV-G and HV-LV are between 1 - 1.1 HV-G and HV LV-G its value > 1.25, while the ratio test results on PS T15 transformer does not conform to the existing standard (ANSI Standard C57.12 .90) with results above the standard 0.5%, U phase6.39, phase V 6.91, phase W 6.91.

Abstract

Distribution system is very important in the distribution of electric power to the load. Therefore, a good and efficient distribution system is needed. The underlying cause of poor electric power distribution system is the amount of voltage drop values in the existing system. In the electric power distribution, 20 kV medium-voltage and 380/220V low voltage networks are used. The distribution system of Gandum Feeder in Angke Substation uses medium-voltage network with Underground Cable channel. They are used because of the towering buildings and the dense population in the area. It is known that the longest the channel and the load current are, the greater the voltage drop. From the result of the voltage drop calculation of Feeder Gandum in Angke Substation, which uses manual calculation and ETAP 12.6.0 program, it showed a slight difference in the result. The result of the voltage drop obtained from manual calculation showed that the percentage value of voltage is 1,94%, while the result obtained from ETAP 12.6.0 program showed that the percentage value is 2,01% These results are still in the PLN standard, because it has not exceeded the specified standard that is -10% of its nominal voltage.

Abstract

The Solar Power Plant Off-Grid 1 kWp at STT-PLN is one of the power plants built at STT-PLN to support renewable energy research, especially solar power generation. Since the solar power plant Off-Grid 1 kWp in STT-PLN has not yet known the optimum potential of electrical energy, the final yield (YF), the performance ratio (PR), and the efficiency of the system which is the parameters of a plant's performance Solar power. It is therefore necessary to analyze the performance of the solar power plant Off-Grid 1 kWp in STT-PLN, in order to know the operating system and the constraints that occur in the solar power plant Off-Grid 1 kWp in STT-PLN. To know the working parameters of Off-Grid 1 kWp in STT-PLN then do the research before and after maintenance of solar powerplant. Where final yield (YF), performance ratio (PR) before maintenance is 1.71343 Wh / Wp.day; 51.78%. While after maintenance of 3.10121 Wh / Wp.day; And 79.29%. From this research also obtained the efficiency of Off-Grid 1 kWp solar power system in STTPLN as a whole by 80,40%.
