Abstract

The power amplifier circuit is a circuit used to amplify or magnify input signals. The use of a transistor as an amplifier is that the current on the base is used to control the larger current given to the collector through the transistor. The small current change on the controlling base is what is called a large change in the current flowing from the collector to the emitter. The advantages of the amplifier transistors can not only amplify the signal, but these transistors can also be used as current amplifiers, voltage amplifiers and power amplifiers.

Abstract

The glycol regeneration process is an integrated part of the glycol dehydration unit (GDU) system. Each plant has a customized configuration to the needs of the process, for the case in this onshore field because the gas produced from the well is good enough with a fairly low water content, then does not use Glycol Contactor. Instead used low temperature separator and glycol generation unit. DCS DeltaV is used to operate, documentation and optimization of gas processes. By using oscillation method and closed loop system obtained PID tuning result with parameter P = 387, I = 57 and D = 53. The response of the control system is conditioned overshoot from its setpoint to accelerate the rise of the temperature plant. When the temperature of glycol regeneration is at 2620 F, the alarm will light Hi limit and Hi Hi limit at 2900 F, while at 2450F the alarm will light low limit and Low Low limit at temperature 00 F.

Abstract

Forecasting. Plans, power plants ,. Electricity needs are increasingly changing daily, so the State Electricity Company (PLN) as a provider of energy must be able to predict daily electricity needs. Short-term forecasting is the prediction of electricity demand for a certain period of time ranging from a few minutes to a week ahead. in shortterm electrical forecasting much of the literature describes the techniques and methods applied in forecasting, Autoregresive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA), linear regression, and artificial intelligence such as Artificial Neural Networks and fuzzy logic. Short-term forecasting will be done by the authors using time series data that is the data of the use of electric power daily (electrical load) and ARIMA as a method of forecasting. ARIMA method or often called Box-Jenkins technique to find this method is suitable to predict variable costs quickly, simply, and cheaply because it only requires data variables to be predicted. ARIMA can only be used for short-term forecasting. ARIMA is a special linear test, in the form of forecasting this model is completely independent variable variables because this model uses the current model and past values of the dependent variable to produce an accurate short-term forecast.

Abstract

With the growing technology in industrial markets today, many factories require DCS (Distributed Control System) to control the process equipment at the plant. DCS serves to read the response quickly on factory equipment that has been installed with the sensor. This paper will analyze the use of DCS in polymerization process at PT INDORAMA SYNTHETICS factory located in Jatiluhur - Purwakarta, West Java. In PT INDORAMA SYNTHETICS polymerization process using DCS CENTUM 3000 which can control and monitor every machine connected with DCS. With the use of DCS, PT.INDORAMA SYNTHETICS can control the flow of PTA tanks and EG tanks that produce a flow output of 10423 kg / h.

Abstract

Meningkatnya penggunaan beban non-linier dalam instalasi kelistrikan mengakibatkan masalah distorsi harmonik dalam sistem kelistrikan industrial dan komersial.Beban non-linier yang banyak digunakan dalam operasi minyak dan gas bumi adalah variable speed drive (VSD) dan uninterruptible power supply (UPS). PT Medco E&P Indonesia memberdayakan Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) sebagai metode produksi minyak bumi yang diterapkan di lapangan produksi Kaji Semoga. Instalasi ESP dilengkapi dengan VSD sebagai pendukung asut dan pengendali kecepatan motor penggerak ESP demi mencapai besaran produksi minyak bumi. Operasi VSD membangkitkan gangguan harmonik yang dapat mengganggu sistem daya listrik seperti panas berlebih dari peralatan listrik, kegagalan prematur pada peralatan berputar dan pembatas arus yang gagal kerja. Pada umumnya untuk mengendalikan masalah ini, harmonic filter dipasang untuk mengkompensasi distorsi harmonik. Instalasi harmonic filter berkontribusi pada biaya pemeliharan kehandalan sistem daya listrik di lapangan produksi Kaji Semoga. Makalah ini menjabarkan metode-metode alternatif untuk mengendalikan distorsi harmonik dalam sistem distribusi daya lsitrik termasuk pemasangan harmonic filter. Metode untuk mengendalikan distorsi harmoniktersebut termasuk penggunaan trafo phase-shifting. Metode lain untuk menanggulangi distorsi harmonik adalah merancang ukuran konduktor selain sebagai proteksi arus beban-lebih juga bisa menerima pengaruhharmonic pada arus beban. Metode-metode alternatif ini bisa mengurangi biaya dari usaha menghilangkan distorsi harmonik secara signifikan.

Abstract

The alarm device is very important in a vehicle, especially on four-wheeled vehicles. Alarm device installed to avoid in case of danger of theft or destruction of the car. So designed car alarm system that can send short message to car owner who use AT89S52 microcontroller. The hardware arrangement of the car alarm system uses the SMS-based AT89S52 microcontroller in this design, consisting of four main parts of the circuit, the minimum system circuit of microcontroller, power supply, serial communication, Input / Output. In SMS text sent from Wavecom M1306B modem and received by mobile (mobile phone) to SMS center or SMS Center flows in form of PDU (Protocol Data Unit). In the sms format is divided into several segments of data that each segment has a specific purpose. The segments are: SMS center number, destination number, bytes for the purpose of setting this SMS and most important is the SMS content that has been changed in the form of a PDU. To be able to send or upload SMS data to the modem and ordered the modem to send SMS data it required AT Command instructions.

Abstract

The purpose of Grounding system design is to ensure safety for personal and equipment, andto improve fault detection of protection system.All electrical equipment should be connected to the grounding system. A system ground refers tothe point in an electrical circuit that is connected to earth. This connection point is typically at theelectrical neutral.Grounding of electrical items must be performed inside the enclosure i.e. insulated copperconductor is going to be used for earthed loop.Grounding bar of equipment, cubicle, switchboard, dedicated inside terminal boxes, lightingfittings.Lightning protection, electrical and instrument equipment should be connected to the groundingsystem separately. The objectives of lightning protection are to avoid catastrophic equipment damage and to preventpersonal injury. The energy of a lightning stroke can readily ignite flammable vapors or damageequipment.Methode of calculation used of the groundingsystem design of lightning protection is multiple vertical electrodes system.

Abstract

Thermoelectrically technology is a technology of solid material that can be used as an alternative cooling technology besides cooling system that uses vapor compression that still uses freon. This study aims to determine the feasibility of using thermoelectrically cooling implementation in the indoor BTS (Base Transceiver Station). The use of this thermoelectrically Cooling is to maintain the ideal temperature of the battery by 25 degrees Celsius (250C) which is an ideal temperature. Research is done by testing thermoelectrically by mounting the cooling thermoelectrically in the existing battery cabinets installed in active condition. Ambient temperature measurement is done by using a measuring instrument that has been calibrated.

Abstract

Temporary disturbance in medium-voltage air ducts is a disturbance mainly caused by lightning. This disorder is divided into two kinds according to the occurrence of lightning strikes, namely direct strike and indirect strike (induction). This disorder is very difficult to predict, therefore it needs good protection. To protect the equipment from a lightning strike then mounted arresters and arcing horn mounted on a 20kV SUTM network simultaneously. The combination of arresters and arcing horns in medium voltage networks can improve the reliability of the disturbances caused by tighter lightning. Lightning strikes an isolated conductor causing a flashover and causing a disruption to the network, and can damage the conductor, in which case the arrester and arcing horn secure the conductor so as not to break due to the spark jump followed by the current follow-up, in this paper discussed how Arresters and arcing horns installed simultaneously at medium voltage.

Abstract

The final landfill is a place to hoard the garbage and the bin gets the last treatment. The final disposal site may be either deep or field-shaped. In recent years, dumped end landfills have finally been converted to a public open space. Final waste disposal site is one of the biggest sources of landfill gas emissions in Indonesia. In the anaerobic process, the organic material decomposes and the landfill gas is produced. This gas then converges and rises regardless of the atmosphere. This becomes dangerous because it can cause an explosion, but it can also cause photochemical smog.
