In Situ Measurement of the Growth Rate of the (111) Face of Borax Single Crystal Suharso Suharso

Abstract

The quality of borax crystals is determined by grade and specifically shaped crystals of high purity. One of fundamental studies of this quality is an investigation of the growth rate of each face of borax single crystals. This paper studies the growth rates of borax single crystals along the (111) direction at various relative supersaturations using in situ optical microscopy technique to elucidate mechanism of growth and crystal growth rate equation. The result shows that the growth mechanisms of the (111) face of borax crystal at temperature of 20°C are spiral growth mechanism below relative supersaturation of 0.49 and a birth and spread mechanism above relative supersaturation of 0.49.

Abstract

The relationship between growth hillocks and supersaturation on the surface of borax crystals has been investigated using ex situ atomic force microscopy (AFM). The results showed that as the supersaturation increases, the mean step separation (yo) decreases. The mean step separation for the (010), (111), and (001) faces, at relative supersaturation (s-1) of 0.025 were 17.34 ± 0.56, 16.05 ± 0.24, and 17.4 ± 0.37 µm, and at relative supersaturation (s-1) of 0.21 were 11.43 ± 0.11, 8.23 ± 0.22, and 8.22 ± 0.31 µm, respectively. The average step height (h) of the (100) face for relative supersaturation of 0.025 and 0.21, was 109 and 76 nm, respectively. The edge free energy of the (010), (001), and (111) faces calculated at relative supersaturation (s-1) of 0.02 were 0.25, 0.23, and 0.25 J/m2 and calculated at relative supersaturation of 0.21 were 1.36, 0.98, and 0.98 J/m2 respectively.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran perilaku prososial, empati, dan dukungan sosial teman sebaya, serta kontribusi empati dan dukungan sosial teman sebaya terhadap perilaku prososial siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian ex post facto dengan 330 responden yang diperoleh menggunakan area random sampling. Angket perilaku prososial, skala empati, dan skala dukungan sosial teman sebaya digunakan dalam pengumpulan data dengan reliabilitas 0,737, 0,703, dan 0,733. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa siswa SMP Negeri di Sub Rayon 3 Kabupaten Banyumas mempunyai perilaku prososial yang tergolong tinggi (76%), empati yang tergolong cukup tinggi (59%), dan dukungan sosial teman sebaya yang tergolong cukup tinggi (63%). Kemudian hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ada kontribusi empati dan dukungan sosial teman sebaya terhadap perilaku prososial siswa (F(8,329)=30,482, p<0,05) sebesar 47,2% terdiri dari 36,6% untuk empati dan 6,6% untuk dukungan soail teman sebaya, sedangkan sisanya diprediksikan disumbangkan oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti pada penelitian ini. This study was aimed to knowing the description of prosocial behaviour, empathy, and social suppor from colleague, also the contribution of empathy and colleague social support to student prosocial behaviour. The study was ex post facto study with 330 respondent as collected by area random sampling. Prosocial behaviour questionnaire,empathy scale, and social support colleague scale, it was use 0,737, 0,703, and 0,733 reliability at data collected. The result showed that the student of SMP Negeri in Sub Rayon 3 Kabupaten Banyumas having high classified prosocial behaviour (76%), empathy with high classified (59%), and colleague social support with high classified (63%). The study also showed that there were contribution of empathy and colleague social support to student prosocial behaviour (F(8,329)=30,482,p<0,05) it was 47,2% consists of 36,6% was empathy and 6,6% was collegue social support, and for the other was contribute by other variable which does”nt researching in this study.

Abstract

This research examines about direct and indirect effects of four variables by five hypotheses. Merchant seafarers professionalism to job satisfaction (H1),  professionalism to organizational commitment (H2),  Job satisfaction to organizational commitment (H3), Job satisfaction to personal performance ( H4), and organizational commitment to personal performance (H5). The respondents were the Indonesian merchant seafarers to the amount of 135 people from multidimension. Because of high mobility of merchant seafarers, the sampling method was accidental sampling.  Pre research   was taken by validity and reliability terst using questionares from 40 respondents.The result of research describes respondents’ profile from age, rank, certificate, during sea services, take home pay, last hired company and recent job status. Empirical finding indicates that hypothesis 1 can be proved because estimation parameter between seafarers professionalism and  job satisfaction shows CR+ 1.976 or >2.00. P+ 0.048 level with significancy 0.05 or it indicates positive significant. Hypothesis 2 can be proved  because estimation parameter between professionalism and organizational commitment shows CR= 2.124 and P=0.034 or it indicates positive significant. Hypothesis 3 can be proved because estimation parameter between job satisfaction and organizational commitment shows CR=4.109 and P=0.000.  Hhypothesis 4 can be proved because estimation parameter between job satisfaction and performance shows CR =3.221 and P=0.001. Hypothesis 5 can be proved because estimation between organizational commitment and personal performance shows CR =2.171 atau > 2.00 level with P =0.03 with significancy 0.05 or it indicates positive significant.Based on standardized regresion weight, indicators which have the biggest coeficient are suggested to: building solid teamwork, enhance transfer of knowledge from senior to junior seafarers, arrange rank promotion program in ship, and improve the certainity of vision, mission, and organizational regulation of shipping company. Next research agenda is re-research using purposive sampling.Key words : Professionalism, Indonesian Seafarers Profession, Job satisfaction, Personal Performance.

Abstract

Enzim protease merupakan kelompok enzim hidrolase yang menghidrolisis ikatan peptida menjadi oligopeptida dan asam amino. Enzim protease yang banyak dimanfaatkan adalah yang berasal dari bakteri. Penelitian ini melakukan penentuan kondisi optimum pertumbuhan bakteri, produksi, pemurnian dan karakterisasi pH, suhu, waktu inkubasi, pengaruh ion logam dan senyawa EDTA terhadap aktivitas enzim. Penentuan data kinetika dan termodinamika meliputi KM dan Vmaks pada subsrat kasein. Biakan bakteri yang ditumbuhkan pada kondisi optimum menunjukkan fase stasioner pertumbuhan tercapai pada waktu inkubasi 42 jam dengan aktivitas enzim sebesar 0,719 U/mL. Tahapan pemurnian enzim menghasilkan enzim dengan aktivitas berturut-turut sebesar 0,3894; 0,3621; dan 0,2259 U/mL. Karakterisasi enzim hasil pemurnian menunjukkan kondisi optimum aktivitas enzim pada pH 7, suhu 50 oC, dan waktu inkubasi 40 menit. Ion logam Na+ dan Ca2+ meningkatkan aktivitas protease, sedangkan ion Mn2+, Zn2+, Cu2+ menurunkan aktivitas protease. Nilai Vmaks 0,6 µmol/mL menit sedangkan nilai KM sebesar 6,1 mg/mL substrat.

Abstract

Penerapan SID berupa website di Indonesia masih banyak menghadapi kendala, di Kabupaten Magelang sendiri masih banyak desa yang belum melaksanakanya. Hal ini menimbulkan pertanyaan tentang bagaimana implementasi Peraturan Daerah Nomor 3 Tahun 2019 dalam mewujudkan good governance melalui SID. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi Peraturan Daerah Nomor 3 Tahun 2019 tentang Sistem Informasi dan Komunikasi di Kabupaten Magelang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yuridis-empiris yang menggunakan pendekatan sosiologis hukum. Data yang digunakan terdiri dari bahan hukum primer, sekunder, dan tersier. Dalam hal ini peneliti menggunakan analisis data deskriptif-kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah implementasi Peraturan Daerah Nomor 3 Tahun 2019 di Kabupaten Magelang masih belum optimal karena beberapa faktor. Diperlukan perbaikan di aspek komunikasi, sumber daya, disposisi, dan struktur birokrasi untuk meningkatkan efektivitas implementasi program.
