Abstract

Quarter-life crisis is a feeling of worry that is present over the uncertainty of the future life, namely around personal, social, family, work relationships, which occurs around the age of twenties. Students are individuals who are affected by the quarter-life crisis because they are in early adulthood or emerging adulthood. The emotional crisis experienced by students in the long term due to accepting the challenge of a quarter-life crisis can cause various negative impacts on life, one of which is stress and depression. Islam in the holy book Al-Qur'an provides several ways to increase individual self-confidence in order to answer the challenges of the quarter-life crisis, namely by recognizing self-concept, positive thinking, belief and action, surrender (Tawakal), gratitude and self-evaluation. (Nur Huda, 2016). This study involved 200 students using quantitative methods and using a Likert scale, namely the concept of self-confidence in the Qur'an (Nur Huda, 2016) and the quarter-life crisis scale (Christine Hassler, 2009). The results showed that the understanding of the concept of self-confidence in the Qur'an proved to have a significant effect on the quarter-life crisis problem for students by 11.2% (p<0.01). The results of the Pearson correlation show a positive score of 0.335 which strengthens the relationship between variables so that the higher the understanding of the concept of self-confidence in the Qur'an, the higher the problem of quarter-life crisis in students.

Abstract

The field of Islamic Studies can be said to be one of the compulsory fields of study in the Islamic, Muhammadiyah, and Arabic learning program, designed by the MPDM PNF or the Muhammadiyah Elementary and Secondary Education & Non-Formal Education Council, also known as ISMUBA. Islamic studies, similar to Islamic Religious Education, include the Qur'an and Hadith, Fiqh, Aqidah, Morals, and Islamic history. Islamic studies are taught to students with the aim of making them become individuals who are faithful, pious, and have good morals. Meanwhile, cognitive skills are a student's ability to think more deeply, conduct analysis, and solve problems logically. Meanwhile, the Inquiry Learning Model is a learning model that emphasizes students to find out and build their own knowledge. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach method in which data collection uses observation, interviews, and documentation. This study makes Islamic subject teachers and also grade XII students of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Bandar Lampung as objects and data sources. There are steps in using the Inquiry-Based Learning model, namely: Orientation, formulating problems, formulating hypotheses, collecting data, testing hypotheses, and drawing conclusions. Students' cognitive skills include their abilities in knowledge, understanding, application, analysis, combining, and evaluating a problem or material being presented. The application of the Inquiry-Based Learning model during Al-Islam learning has significantly improved students' cognitive skills. Many students who previously only understood can now analyze and express their opinions.

Abstract

The activity of learning to recite the holy book Al-Qur'anul Karim is an essential component in the formation of morals and character. The involvement of guardians as companions in the Qur'anic learning process has a major influence on children's ability to read the holy book. This case explores the role of parents in improving children’s ability to read Al-Qur'anul Karim at TPA Majma’ul Aulad. The main emphasis of the research is the importance of Qur'anic education in moral development and the growth of TPA as a non-formal educational institution. The focus is on identifying the influence of parental participation, including motivation, understanding, and support provided, both at home and at the TPA. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method that includes direct interviews, direct observations, and document analysis. Participants consist of active students' parents and educators at the TPA. Data were processed through reduction, narrative structuring, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the involvement of guardians has a rapid effect on improving children’s Qur’anic reading ability. Forms of involvement include supervision, provision of learning facilities, encouragement, and enrollment of children in the TPA. Children of active parents tend to become fluent more quickly in reading Al-Qur'anul Karim. Family and TPA collaboration plays a significant role in Qur’anic development in Indonesia.
