Abstract

Pruning tea leaves not only improve the productivity of the tea leaves but ecologically improve soil arthropods, which have very important role in the food chain. This study aimed to identify and analyse the diversity of soil arthropods in the tea plantation of PTPN XII Bantaran Blitar with pruning system. Observation of soil arthropods was performed by using hand sorted method on tea land with 25, 25 and 30 cm of each length, width and depth, respectively. Observations were performed at three stations, namely Pruning Year (PY) I, PY II and PY III, at which each station contains 10 observation point. The data were analysed by PAST program 3.06 version. This study found soil arthropods about 45 specimens, consisting of 15 orders, and 33 families. The most abundant order is Coleoptera, as well  the role of common soil arthropods are predator.  Family Formicidae is the most common family found in tea plantation. In addition, the highest of soil arthropods diversity index is in PY III, i.e. 2,58.

Abstract

Porang (Amarphophallus. oncophyllus) is a type of plant tubers that have the potential and prospects for development in Indonesia. In addition to readily available, plants are also capable of producing carbohydrates and high harvest index. The last few years a very large porang needs. Porang plant propagation is vegetative and generative in which to make the seeds are ready to harvest takes between 4-6 months. This study aims to determine kinds of the appropriate medium for growing plants porang network and determine the concentration  of  each  medium,  so  we  get  a  superior  porang  plants.  Research  using factorial completely randomized design. The first factor is a growth regulator BAP concentration: 0 mg / l, 0.5 mg / l, 1.0 mg / l, 1.5 mg / l and 2.0 mg / l, while the second factor is the concentration of IBA 0 mg / l, 0.5 mg / l and 1.0 mg / l, in order to obtain 15 treatments and each treatment made 15 replications. Data were collected for the pengkalusan, contamination callus, callus mortality rate, number of buds, leaf buds height, number of leaves and root. The results showed that the addition of plant growth regulators (hormones) BAP in MS medium effect on the number of shoots, buds and the high number of young leaves. The addition of hormone IBA in MS medium pengkalusan affect the process and the number of roots. The addition of hormone BAP and IBA on MS medium did not significantly affect mortality contamination callus and callus. The interaction between BAP and IBA hormone given on MS medium did not significantly affect the pengkalusan, contamination callus, callus mortality rate, number of buds, leaf buds height, number of leaves and root

Abstract

Insects have great potential to be used as soil bioindicators. The research aims to analyze abundance and diversity of soil insects genus and determine the soil insects genus that have potential as soil quality bioindicators in citrus plantations. The study was conducted in conventional and semiorganic citrus plantations in Poncokusumo District, Malang Regency. The research used pitfall trap and hand sorted methods. Data were analyzed to find out diversity index, Canonical Correspondence Analysis and Indicator Value Index. The data analysis used PAST program version 3.15 and software R. The research results were obtained 20 genus of soil insects. The highest abundance of soil insects is occupied by the genus Aphaenogaster. The diversity of soil insects in semiorganic citrus plantations is higher than conventional citrus plantations. The soils insects that have potential as bioindicators of soil quality in conventional citrus plantations is the genus Formica, while in the semiorganic citrus plantations are the genus Cyrtepistomus, Pangeus, Tenebrio, Euborellia, Allonemobius, Stelidota, Gryllus and Chlaenius.

Abstract

The high diversity of tree species found in natural forests contributes to their ability to maintain ecological balance. Mount Baung Natural Tourism Park is the conservation area in Pasuruan Regency, East Java that functions to protect biodiversity. The research aims to identify tree species, analyze tree diversity, and determine tree dominance with the importance value index (IVI). The research was conducted from February to March 2023 in Mount Baung Natural Tourism Park utilization block (MBNTP UB), Pasuruan Regency, East Java, Indonesia. The observation location was determined to be 37 points and plots were made in the point with a size of 20 m × 20 m for the tree phase, 10 m × 10 m for pole phase, 5 m × 5 m for the sapling phase, and 2 m × 2 m for the seedling phase. Data collected from field observations were analyzed to determine the Shannon diversity index using PAST 4.01. Tree dominance was analyzed using IVI. The research showed that 14 species from 8 tree families are found in MBNTP UB. The Fabaceae family is found to be abundant compared to other families. The highest number of individuals found in the seedling phase is Cassia glauca. Swietenia macrophylla has the highest individual’s number in the sapling, pole, and tree phases. The highest tree diversity is found in the tree phase. Diversity at the tree phase is classified as moderate, while at the seedling, pole, and sapling phase the diversity is low.

Abstract

This research focuses on studying the curriculum of three study programs at the Faculty of Science and Technology, namely Biology, Informatics Engineering and Architectural Engineering. The purpose of this research is to see how ready the curriculum of the 3 study programs is to be submitted as ASIIN international accreditation material. The method used to measure curriculum readiness is using AHP. The results of this study are that from 3 study programs that have been assessed using AHP, the study program that is most ready for its curriculum is Informatics Engineering with a readiness of 73.4%, followed by Architectural Engineering, and after that Biology.
