Abstract

PABSTRAKemeran tokoh Comol dalam naskah Lautan Bernyanyi karya Putu Wijaya merupakan penciptaan seni peran yang dilakukan untuk mewujudkan tokoh Comol oleh pemeran pada sebuah pertunjukan seni teater, perwujudan tokoh dimulai dengan menganalisis struktur dan tekstur tokoh Comol dalam naskah Lautan Bernyanyi. Penciptaan tokoh Comol menggunakan metode The system yang digagas oleh Stanislavsky dengan meliputi beberapa aspek seperti psikologi, fisiologi dan sosiologi. Hasil dari analisi tekstur dan struktur menjadi pedoman bagi pemeran untuk mewujudkan tokoh Comol dalam naskah Lautan Bernyanyi karya Putu Wijaya. ABSTRACTThe role of the Comol character in Putu Wijaya's Lautan Bernyanyi script is the creation of a role-playing art to embody the Comol character by performing theatrical art performances, and the realization begins by analyzing the structure and texture of the Comol character in the Lautan Bernyanyi script. The creator of the Comol character uses The system method, which Stanislavsky initiated by covering several aspects such as psychology, physiology, and sociology. The texture and structure analysis results serve as guidelines for the cast to embody the Comol character in Putu Wijaya's Lautan Bernyanyi script.

Abstract

Glass Shoes drama musical is an alternative whose made by director for attract the public's attention to watching theatrical performances. Based on facts found in the field, the theater has now lost its audience. Therefore, theater artist must make a new breakthrough in giving understanding to the audience, through the work he created. Musical dramas that carry children's tales are based on the importance of providing educational values to character formation. The combination of music, dance and vocals will provide different sensations and provide entertainment for the audience. Koreo and songs created based on the script will convey a sense that is not conveyed by words. This relates to a musical drama featuring three main objects, namely dialogue, dance and singing. The making of dances and songs is done carefully and intensely so as not to stick to one another. The Glass Shoes drama musical uses mobile settings that can be moved and moved quickly as needed. Penyesuaian video art di setiap adegan dapat memberikan visual yang menarik . perpaduan antara setting mobile dan video art serta unsur lainnya akan mewujudkan multi disiplin ilmu yang sejalan. Adjustment of video art in each scene can provide interesting visuals. a combination of mobile settings and video art and other elements will realize multi-disciplines that are in line. The Glass Shoes drama musical using the method from Bertold Brecht will flavor the storyline during the show. The purpose of using the method of Bertold Brecht is to make the audience aware and give a break so that the audience can immediately digest the content delivered in the show. This method is in line with the desire of the worker who has entertainment concepts in the show.

Abstract

Research title is"Building of Character Children Through Theater". This research use qualitative methode with descriptive analysis. The theater performance “Run to the Moon” and the “Children's Tale” is the result of observation and the director's anger toward the children in Kampung Purus (which is usually called Kampung Puruih). Children are busy with social media so there is a lack of interaction between people. The theater performance Run to the Moon and the Children's Tale is a reality that is packed into a stage event and directly involving the children as the performer. The theater performance Run to the Moon Children’s Tale can be use to build children's character, because the message of tale invite children to interact with others, diligent study and good behavior and polite. This study aims to explore the character building of children with theater performance Run to the Moon and Children's Tale using the method of Sociology of Art and Psychotherapy.

Abstract

The work of Meretas Adab is an achievement of the process of creating a theater based on research on the tradition of Melangun from Anak Dalam tribe. The form approach chosen in this creation process is a contemporary theatrical form. The formulation of the problem in question from this creation is how to realize the creation of a contemporary theater of Meretas Adab departing from the Melangun tradition. The theories used are contemporary theater theory, proscenium stage conventions and cultural arts exploration. The directing method used consisted of research, script preparation, selecting a creative team, separate exercises and joint exercises. The result of this creation process is a theatrical performance that utilizes the properties and daily behavior of the Anak Dalam tribal community. This contemporary theater utilizes Jambi Malay art as the basis for creating musical and dance compositions. Keywords: meretas adab, melangun. AbstrakKarya Meretas Adab merupakan capaian dari proses penciptaan teater yang berlandaskan pada riset atas tradisi melangun suku Anak Dalam. Pendekatan bentuk yang dipilih dalam proses penciptaan ini adalah bentuk teater kontemporer. Rumusan masalah yang dipertanyakan dari penciptaan ini adalah bagaimana mewujudkan penciptaan teater kontemporer Meretas Adab berangkat dari tradisi Melangun. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori teater kontemporer, konvensi panggung proscenium dan eksplorasi seni budaya. Metode penyutradaraan yang digunakan terdiri dari, riset, penyusunan naskah, memilih tim kreatif, latihan terpisah dan latihan gabungan. Hasil dari proses penciptaan ini adalah pertunjukan teater yang memanfaatkan properti dan prilaku keseharian dari masyarakat suku Anak Dalam. Abstract

AbstrakKerawang Gayo merupakan hiasan berupa motif ukir atau ragam hias yang diterapkan pada rumah adat Gayo di Kabupaten Aceh Tengah. Motif kerawang diciptakan oleh masyarakat Gayo melalui proses daya fikir secara spontanitas, kemudian direnungkan secara mendalam sehingga melahirkan suatu bentuk motif yang memiliki makna filosofis berkaitan dengan kehidupan masyarakat Gayo. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menjelaskan latar belakang munculnya motif kerawang Gayo dan menjelaskan bentuk serta pemaknaanya motif kerawang Gayo pada rumah adat Gayo. Kerangka untuk mengkaji bentuk dan makna motif kerawang Gayo menggunakan teori estetika tentang motif yang dibagi tiga yaitu motif utama (wujud tertentu, memiliki falsafah atau ajaran), kemudin motif pengisi (pendukung motif utama) dan motif isian (penghias motif utama dan pendukung). Jenis penelitian ini kualitatif pendekatan terhadap kultural masyarakat Gayo, dengan teknik pencarian data studi pustaka, observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan studi karya/artefak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan teori estetika tersebut menemukan tiga belas bentuk motif ukiran yang terdapat pada rumah adat Gayo, masing-masing memiliki filosofi dalam bentuk peri mestike (Falsafah/Pribahasa) yang mengandung ajaran atau tuntunan berkaitan dengan kehidupan masyarakat Gayo. Motif ukiran kerawang Gayo pada rumah adat Gayo diantaranya emun berangkat (awan berarak), emun beriring (awan berbaris) emun berkune (awan bercabang) emun mupesir (awan berpencar) emun mutumpuk (awan berkumpul) puter tali (pilin berganda) pucuk rebun (pucuk rebung) tekukur (pengukuran) mata ni lo (matahari) sarak opat (sarak empat) nege (naga) iken (ikan) dan kurik (ayam).Kata Kunci: rumah adat, kerawang gayo, estetika.AbstractKerawang Gayo is an ornament in the form of a carved motif or decoration applied to the Gayo traditional house in Central Aceh Regency. Kerawang motifs created by the Gayo community through spontaneous processes of thinking power, then contemplated in depth so as to give birth to a form of motif that has philosophical meaning related to the life of the Gayo people. The purpose of this study is to explain the background of the emergence of the motif kerawang Gayo and explain the shape and meaning of the motif kerawang Gayo on the Gayo traditional house. The framework for examining the form and meaning of the Gayo openwork motif uses aesthetic theories about motives divided into three, namely the main motifs (certain forms, philosophies or teachings), then the motives of fillers (supporting the main motifs) and stuffing motifs (decorating the main and supporting motifs). This research is a qualitative approach to the culture of the Gayo community, with techniques for finding data from literature studies, observations, interviews, documentation and study works/artifacts. Based on the results of the research and aesthetic theory found thirteen forms of carving motifs found in the Gayo traditional house, each of them has a philosophy in the form of peri mestike (Philosophy/Language) which contains teachings or guidance relating to the lives of the Gayo people. The motif kerawang Gayo on the Gayo traditional house includes emun berangkat (cloud drifting), emun beriring (cloud lining) emun berkune (branching cloud) emun mupesir (scattered cloud) emun mutumpuk (cloud gathered) puter tali (multiple gyre) pucuk rebun (shoots bamboo shoots) tekukur (measurement) mata ni lo (sun) sarak opat (four sarak) nege (dragon) iken (fish) and kurik (rooster). Abstract

ABSTRACTThe act of Wayang Padang generally tells about the threat of disintegration behind the turmoil of political world, indecision in the establishment of various regulations, disunity of a number of political parties, selective application of law, and endless corruption. These threats as if the fire in the husk, it cannot be seen from the outside but it’s on fire inside. All forms of  this turmoil are fire dots that’s getting bigger and bigger and then burnt down the pillar of this nation. Therefore, it can be concluded that Wisran Hadi through Wayang Padang  wants to rebuke and give awareness toward this nation. The process of film making done was fiction film with the style of French New Wave. Fiction film is often called as the type of second film. Fiction film should be tied to the plot and the story presented must be out of reality (scriptwriter’s imagination). Keywords: Wayang Padang, French New Wave, Film, Drama  ABSTRAKLakon Wayang Padang secara umum bercerita tentang ancaman desintegrasi dibalik kesemrawutan dunia politik, tarik ulur dalam berbagai penetapan undang-undang, perpecahan sejumlah partai, penerapan hukum yang tebang pilih, dan korupsi yang entah kapan berakhir.  Ancaman ini bagai api dalam sekam, tak tampak dari luar tapi nyala di dalam. Segala bentuk kesemrawutan itu adalah titik-titik api yang terus membesar, menjalar, dan membakar persendian bangsa. Maka dari itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Wisran Hadi melalui Wayang Padang ingin menegur dan memberikan penyadaran terhadap bangsa ini. Proses penciptaan film yang dilakukan adalah film fiksi dengan gaya French New Wawe. Film fiksi sering juga disebut dengan jenis film kedua, film fiksi sebaiknya harus terikat dengan plot dan cerita yang disajikan harus diluar kenyataan (imajinasi penulis scenario). Katakunci: wayang padang, french new wave, film, drama

Abstract

The Incung script is a writing system used by the Kerinci comminity. The Script of Incung as a identity in Kerinci Batik aims to identify the identity contained in the Incung Script as motif of Kerinci batik. This study use as a qualitative method with descriptive data that siscuss the data in accordance with the facts encountered in the field with aesthetic studies. Data collection done through literature study, observation, interviews and matrix of data collection. Kerinci batik have two types of batik namely, Kerinci decorative batik and Incung batik with stamp techniques. The color used in the product Kerinci batik is a type of naptol and indigosol. In addition, batik cloth Kerinci is dark inaddition, batik cloth Kerinci is bright in color. The main motif of batik Kerinci is an Incung script combined with Kerinci decorative motifs flora, fauna and heirlooms which are the identity of Kerinci.Keywords: Incung Script; Kerinci; Batik; Aesthetics; IdentityAbstrakAksara Incung merupakan sistem penulisan yang digunakan oleh masyarakat Kerinci. Aksara Incung sebagai identitas batik Kerinci bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi identitas batik Kerinci. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan data deskriptif yang membahas tentang data sesuai fakta yang ditemui di lapangan, dengan kajian estetika. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi pustaka, observasi, wawancara dan matrik pengumpulan data. Batik kerinci memiliki dua jenis batik yaitu, batik ragam hias Kerinci dan batik Incung dengan teknik batik tulis dan cap. Motif utama batik Kerinci adalah aksara Incung dikombinasi dengan ragam hias Kerinci, motif flora, fauna dan benda pusaka yang merupakan identitas Kerinci.Kata Kunci: Aksara Incung; Batik; Kerinci; Estetika; Identitas

Abstract

ABSTRACTPinto Aceh is one of the art objects or motifs that are famous among the people of Aceh and inspired by Pinto Khop. Pinto Aceh was created in 1935 by Mahmud Ibrahim with gold in the form of brooch jewelry. The creation of Pinto Aceh nowaday seen as the aspect of form which is still applied as the initial form from it was created. Based on this phenomenon, the author wishes to create a new form of Pinto Aceh arts and combines it with Arabic calligraphy but still retains its distinctive form. Arabic calligraphy is one of the arts which is known as its religious values created from Arabic letters by embellished writing. In hope this will be an inspiration for art connoisseurs and the people of Aceh. The instructor conduct the research through observation and interview, while the exploration, design and formation stages use the selection of materials, techniques and tools in accordance with the visual that will be created. The method was chosen with the aim that innovation and creation of Pinto Aceh continue to develops. The creation of this work of art is realized by applying Arabic calligraphy following the expression form of Pinto Aceh that have been developed. The artman presents a new form that has never existed before. The media and the tools used are a unity that support the creation of this work. ABSTRAKPinto Aceh adalah salah satu benda kriya seni ataupun motif yang terkenal dikalangan masyarakat Aceh dan terinspirasi dari Pinto Khop. Pinto Aceh diciptakan pada tahun 1935 oleh Mahmud Ibrahim dengan bahan emas berupa perhiasan bros. Penciptaan Pinto Aceh sekarang ini ditinjau dari segi bentuk masih diterapkan sama seperti bentuk awal diciptakan. Berdasarkan fenomena tersebut pengkarya berkeinginan menciptakan bentuk karya baru Pinto Aceh mengkombinasikannya dengan kaligrafi Arab tetapi tetap mempertahankan bentuk khasnya. Kaligrafi Arab merupakan salah satu seni yang identik dengan nilai religi yang dibuat dari huruf Arab dengan cara penulisan yang diperindah. Diharapkan hal ini dapat menjadi inspirasi bagi para penikmat seni dan masyarakat Aceh. Pengkarya melakukan riset melalui observasi dan wawancara, sedangkan tahap eksplorasi, perancangan dan pembentukkan menggunakan pemilihan bahan, teknik dan alat sesuai dengan visual yang akan diciptakan. Metode tersebut dipilih dengan tujuan agar inovasi dan kreasi Pinto Aceh terus berkembang. Penciptaan karya seni ini diwujudkan dengan mengaplikasikan kaligrafi Arab mengikuti ekspresi bentik Pinto Aceh yang telah dikembangkan. Pengkarya menghadirkan bentuk baru yang belum pernah ada sebelumnya. Medium dan alat yang digunakan merupakan satu kesatuan yang mendukung untuk terciptakanya karya ini.

Abstract

This creation research formulates the struggle of Boru Lopian son of Sisingamangaraja XII against Dutch colonialism. In addition to seeing as the figure of the son of King Sisingamangaraja XII, the research is also directed at the story of Boru Lopian who is famous for his courage when dealing with the invaders. Even though he comes from an honorable lineage, Boru Lopian is never arrogant and arrogant. Unfortunately, this humanist figure also died in the guerrilla against the Dutch colonialists. The final result of the research is a Batak opera performance with the title, Sisingamangaraja XII episode Boru Lopian, Uluporang Tano Batak. The process of performing Batak opera begins with the creation of a Batak opera script obtained based on research on Boru Lopian. Then packed with some elements of modern theater without leaving the inherent traditional values. This combination was deliberately chosen as part of the stages towards the novelty of the arable concept (innovation). The research method of creation is done through observation, research and interviews with community leaders. The arrangement of the story of the Batak opera Sisingamangaraja XII episode of Boru Lopian, Uluporang Tano Batak is a reorganization of a history. Which of course undergoes several changes, from the actual story to a story that is 'spiced up' with the present context. This is done in order to become familiar with the audience. The authenticity of traditional Batak opera forms is combined with artistic elements of modern theater so that the atmosphere and setting of the event becomes contextual. The goal is to facilitate the presence of building elements, artifacts, past events that are impossible to present simultaneously on the current stage. The structure in the Batak opera Sisingamangaraja XII episode Boru Lopian, Uluporang Tano Batak has similarities with the two previous Batak opera performances. Because it was designed for three opera performances of Batak Sisingamangaraja XII.Keywords: Boru Lopian, perspective, opera Batak. AbstrakPenelitian penciptaan ini merumuskan perjuangan Boru Lopian anak Sisingamangaraja XII dalam melawan penjajahan Belanda. Selain melihat sebagai sosok anak Raja Sisingamangaraja XII, penelitian juga diarahkan pada kisah Boru Lopian yang terkenal akan keberaniaannya saat berhadapan dengan para penjajah. Walaupun berasal dari keturunan terhormat, Boru Lopian tidak pernah sombong dan tinggi hati. Sayangnya sosok yang humanis ini turut tewas dalam gerilya melawan penjajah Belanda. Hasil akhir dari penelitian adalah, pertunjukan opera Batak dengan judul, Sisingamangaraja XII episode Boru Lopian, Uluporang Tano Batak. Proses pertunjukan opera Batak didiawali dengan pembuatan naskah opera Batak yang didapatkan berdasarkan riset tentang Boru Lopian. Kemudian dikemas dengan beberapa unsur-unsur teater modern tanpa meninggalkan nilai-nilai tradisi yang melekat. Perpaduan ini sengaja dipilih sebagai bagian dari tahapan menuju kebaruan dari konsep garapan (inovasi). Metode penelitian penciptaan dilakukan melalui observasi, riset dan wawancara dengan tokoh masyarakat. Penataan cerita opera Batak Sisingamangaraja XII episode Boru Lopian, Uluporang Tano Batak ini merupakan penataan ulang sebuah sejarah. Yang didalamnya tentunya mengalami beberapa perubahan, dari cerita yang sebenarnya menjadi cerita yang ‘dibumbui’ dengan konteks kekinian. Hal ini dilakukan agar menjadi akrab dengan penonton. Keaslian bentuk opera Batak tradisi dipadukan dengan elemen-elemen artistik teater modern agar suasana dan latar peristiwa menjadi kontekstual. Tujuannya untuk mempermudah hadirnya unsur bangunan, artefak, peristiwa masa lalu yang tidak mungkin dihadirkan secara bersamaan diatas panggung saat ini. Abstract

AbstractCreating the monologue theater is based on Teater Tutur Aceh, PM TOH. The author did not start from the saga script but wrote a monologue script entitled “Hikayat Cantoi” and was performed in Indonesian. The show combined the modern convention, especially in movement and blocking of actors on stage, setting (decoration), props, make-up, and clothing by using the wealth of the body as music (body percussion music), such as: pat the chest, thighs, stomach, and fingertips in the Seudati, Didong, and Guel dance. This work presents a character who has historical and psychological complexities. Cantoi, an Acehnese man who works as a teacher, is forced by the situation to become “Pak Turut” to save his soul. The author chose this imaginary character because in Aceh, the term for someone who is smart but looks stupid, and is called Cantoi. Between 1996-2003, Acehnese society experienced a cultural shift or change. It happens because of social interaction through the pressures that are experienced at any time. Changes in social behavior lead to the birth of ideology and the restructuring of people’s behavior.Keywords: creative process; monologue; speech theater; Adnan PM TOH; Acehnese locality
