Abstract

The Research purpose was to determine The Teachers Readiness OfIntegrative Thematic Learning in Elementary School (Exploration Study atElementary School Teacher of Surakarta Academic Year 2017/2018). Theresearch method used survey technique of quantitative research. Thepopulation were 80 Elementary School teachers in the ninth cluster and thesampling technique was purposive random sampling., consistst of TempelElementary School, Banyuanyar 2 Elementary School, Sumber 5Elementary School, Alfalah Elementary School and Fokus ElementarySchool.The data collection was questionnaire that to know the TeachersReadiness Of Integrative Thematic Learning. The questionnaire of TeachersReadiness Of Integrative Thematic Learning were dimensions, e.icurriculum concept understanding, teacher responsesiveness, responsibility,teacher self oriented, teacher perspective and teacher self confidence.Theresult revwal that The Teachers Readiness Of Integrative ThematicLearning in Elementary School only slightly more than general, findingindicates that curriculum concept understanding needed intensive trainningin order to improve effectively learning process in classroom.Keyword: The Teachers Readiness, Integrative Thematic Learning

Abstract

The values of local cultural wisdom in order to remain a fundamental force of national culture are through learning Social Sciences (IPS) for students in Elementary Schools (SD), as learning materials have a significant role in developing the characteristics of local cultural wisdom for students.The purpose of this study was to explore and find the implementation of local cultural wisdom through social science learning (IPS) for Elementary School students in Surakarta.Ethnographic research methods with qualitative descriptive analysis in terms of historical, sociological, and pedagogical perspectives. The data were obtained through surveys, observations and interviews with principals, teachers, and elementary school students in the city of Surakarta, using proportional sampling techniques.The results showed that the implementation of local cultural wisdom through social science learning (IPS) for Elementary School students in Surakarta was 261 state and private elementary schools (five districts). An understanding of the value of local cultural wisdom that has high cultural historical value and pedagogical value can support the content of social science learning in implementing local cultural wisdom in Surakarta. Social studies learning originates from the history of the city of Surakarta, the characteristics and life of its people, the culture of mutual cooperation, courtesy and respect for others as well as regional cultural arts that are included in the local content curriculum in the form of Javanese songs, and geguritan can be applied in social studies learning. Thus, these local cultural values can be used as a source of social studies learning, with the aim of making social studies learning more meaningful for students in shaping their character. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the character of third-grade students' responsibilities in integrated thematic learning at the State Primary School of Bayan No.216 Surakarta. This research employed a qualitative method with an analytical study approach and utilised descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this study were students and teachers in the third grade. Sources of data obtained at State Primary School of Bayan No.216 Surakarta include primary data obtained directly through questionnaires and interviews with students and teachers of the third grade. On the other hand, secondary data was collected indirectly through observation. This data was collected using interviews, observation, and questionnaires techniques. Triangulation of sources, techniques, and shorts of data analysis was used to validate data. Miles and Huberman's (2018) cycle model consists of the following steps: 1) data collection, 2) data reduction, 3) data presentation, and 4) conclusion. Based on the data analysis, the following conclusions can be drawn: The responsibility character of third-grade students at State Primary School of Bayan No.216 Surakarta during integrative thematic learning in class was excellent, with 18 (86%) out of 21 students revealing a high level of responsibility character. On the other hand, 3 students (14%) demonstrated a low level of responsibility character.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada peserta didik kelas V SDN Kestalan Kota Surakarta dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam mata pelajaran IPAS pada peserta didik kelas V SDN Kestalan Surakarta melalui penerapan media pembelajaran teka-teki silang (TTS) tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Adapun penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada 25 peserta didik yang terdiri dari 15 peserta didik laki-laki dan 10 peserta didik perempuan. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian One Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design. Langkah penelitian dilaksanakan melalui adanya uji coba instrumen menggunakan uji validitas dengan perhitungan point biserial terhadap 30 soal pilihan ganda. Adapun hasil uji instrumen tersebut diperoleh 20 soal dengan kriteria valid dan 10 soal dengan kriteria tidak valid. Uji reliabilitas menunjukkan hasil sebesar 1,036 dan . Tingkat kesukaran pada soal yang diuji coba diperoleh hasil analisis 13 soal dengan kriteria sedang dan 17 soal dengan kriteria mudah. Uji analisis data melalui uji normalitas dihitung menggunakan rumus One-Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov dan uji hipotesis dihitung menggunakan rumus Paired Sample T-Test. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data menunjukkan hasil nilai signifikasi <0,001 dengan probabilitas signifikasi yakni <0,05. Oleh karena itu, hasil yang diperoleh adalah sesuai dengan hipotesis yakni “Ada Pengaruh Media Pembelajaran Teka-Teki Silang (TTS) Terhadap Peningkatan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Dalam Mata Pelajaran IPAS Pada Peserta Didik Kelas V SDN Kestalan Surakarta Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024”.

Abstract

Kecakapan anak-anak di Indonesia dalam membaca dan menulis masih kurang baik, termasuk di SDN Gandekan Surakarta. Berdasarkan laporan rapor pendidikan tahun 2021, kecakapan literasi siswa kelas V di SD Negeri Gandekan mencapai nilai 1,63, sementara nilai rata-rata Kota Surakarta adalah 1,98. Untuk meningkatkan minat membaca siswa, buku komik dianggap sebagai salah satu media pembelajaran yang potensial karena menyajikan cerita yang ringan dan didukung oleh gambar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah pemanfaatan buku komik berpengaruh terhadap kecakapan literasi siswa Penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas V di SD Negeri Gandekan selama Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan populasi sebanyak 28 siswa kelas V SD Negeri Gandekan pada Tahun Ajaran yang sama dan sampel sebanyak 28 siswaData diperoleh melalui penerapan uji pre-test dan post-test eksperimental. Validitas soal diuji menggunakan rumus korelasi product moment Karl Pearson dan reliabilitas menggunakan KR-20. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menerapkan rumus Kolmogorov-Smirnov serta melakukan uji hipotesis menggunakan metode paired sample t-test.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the significant effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) based on the Magnet TPACK of SD Negeri 01 Munggur. This research uses a qualitative type of research based on the philosophy of polytheism. The population and sample used for the research were 28 students of class IV of SD Negeri 01 Munggur. The technique used in selecting the sample was purposive sampling. This research utilizes the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. In this design, before the treatment is given, a pre-test (alwall test) is given before the treatment is given and after the treatment is given, a post-test (final test) is given. Data collection techniques using observation, tests and documentation. Based on the results of the study, the conclusion is that there is a significant use of the Problem Balsed Lealing model of learning based on TPACK in class IV of SD N 01 Munggur. The effect of the PBL learning model based on TPACK on the learning outcomes of IPALS in class IV before the treatment was given, the maximum score was 90, while the minimum score was 45. The mean score was 63.92, the median was 62.5. Data analysis results using palired salmpel t-tes it is known that the mean value it is known that the mean pretest value of students 57,6 while the mean posttest for students was 63.92. The results of the statistical test with the crossed sample t-test recognize the effect of the Problem Balsed Learning (PBL) model based on TPACK Regarding the learning outcomes of grade IV students in the subject of science at SD Negeri 01 Munggur, it was found that based on the paired sample t-test table, the significant value (2 tallies) 0.000 <0.05 indicated that there was a difference between the initial and final variables(pretest & posttest), this proves that there is a significant effect on the difference in the need for calcualn given for the variable.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the implementation of the social inquiry learning model assisted by Kahoot media in improving the curiosity and learning independence of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Mangkubumen Wetan Surakarta in the 2024/2025 academic year. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data triangulation techniques, including observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of 28 students, the classroom teacher, and the principal. The results showed that the application of the social inquiry model supported by Kahoot increased students’ curiosity from an initial estimate of 30% to 50%. However, the improvement in learning independence was still not optimal, although some students began to show initiative and responsibility. Kahoot created a fun, competitive, and interactive learning environment, which enhanced student motivation and participation. This study concludes that integrating the social inquiry model with interactive digital media like Kahoot is effective in developing students’ critical thinking, curiosity, and learning independence.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of digital-based snake and ladder learning media on student achievement in Science and Social Science (IPAS) subjects among fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Joglo 76 Surakarta. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, utilizing a pretest-posttest control group model. A total of 53 students participated, divided into two groups: the experimental group, which used digital snake and ladder media integrated with Problem-Based Learning (PBL), and the control group, which received instruction through conventional PBL methods. Data collection involved written tests, interviews, observation, and documentation. Statistical analysis using an independent sample t-test indicated a significant difference in learning outcomes between the two groups, demonstrating the effectiveness of digital game-based learning. The findings suggest that integrating interactive digital media enhances motivation, engagement, and academic performance in primary education settings.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of implementing the social inquiry learning model supported by Kahoot media in optimizing curiosity and learning independence among fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Mangkubumen Wetan Surakarta in the 2024/2025 academic year. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through triangulation techniques, including observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of 28 students, the classroom teacher, and the principal. The findings indicate that integrating social inquiry with Kahoot significantly improved student’s curiosity, as shown by increased enthusiasm for asking question and exploring material-rising from an estimate of 30% to 50%. Meanwhile, learning independence began to develop through student’s initiative and responsibility, though not yet fully optimal. Kahoot fostered a learning environment that was interactive, fun, and competitive, thereby enhancing student motivation and engagement. In conclusion, the social inquiry model supported by interactive digital media such as Kahoot is effective in shaping students’ critical thinking, curiosity, and independence learning behavior

Abstract

This research was conducted with the main purpose of examining and analyzing the specific needs of elementary school teachers in designing and implementing a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model that is grounded in the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework, with the ultimate goal of enhancing students’ critical thinking skills as a crucial competency in the 21st century. The study is rooted in the understanding that critical thinking is not only a fundamental learning outcome but also a key skill for students to thrive in modern society, while at the same time recognizing the current limitations in technology integration within elementary-level PBL practices. A quantitative descriptive method was employed, involving a purposive sample of 100 elementary school teachers who provided data through structured questionnaires and interviews. The analysis focused on five core indicators, namely teachers’ initial knowledge of TPACK-based PBL, the availability of facilities to support its implementation, teachers’ participation in relevant professional training, the degree of TPACK integration in classroom learning, and the actual application of PBL in teaching practice. Findings revealed that only 36% of teachers possessed sufficient awareness of TPACK-based PBL, 40% reported having adequate facilities in their schools, 40% had previously joined related training, 36% had integrated TPACK into their instruction, and 50% had applied PBL in their classrooms. These results clearly demonstrate a significant gap between existing practices and the ideal conditions needed for maximizing the potential of TPACK-based PBL. Consequently, the study emphasizes the urgency of developing and strengthening this model by improving teacher knowledge, ensuring continuous professional development opportunities, and promoting the effective use of technology to foster innovative, contextual, and student-centered learning that can systematically nurture critical thinking abilities in elementary school students.
