Abstract

This research was conducted on fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 01 Dagen Karanganyar with the aim of identifying the improvement of critical thinking skills in IPAS learning by applying the Cooperative Learning Model of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type during the 2024/2025 academic year. The study involved 25 students, consisting of 16 male students and 9 female students. This research belongs to quantitative research with a One-Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design. The research procedure began with administering a tryout test to determine the number of valid items to be used. The validity test results showed that 20 items met the validity criteria during the tryout. Data analysis was conducted using the One-Sample Shapiro-Wilk test for normality and the Paired Sample T-Test for hypothesis testing. Based on the analysis, the results showed a significance value of < 0.000 with a significance probability of < 0.05. Therefore, the findings are consistent with the hypothesis, namely: “There is an effect of using the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) Learning Model in IPAS learning on the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 01 Dagen Karanganyar in the 2024/2025 academic year.” This indicates that the TGT model can enhance students’ ability to think critically, helping them develop essential skills in problem-solving, analysis, and decision-making, which are crucial for their academic success and future learning processes.

Abstract

This research was conducted on fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 01 Karang with the aim of analyzing the effect of the implementation of the Javanese culture-based Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on students' communication skills in the 2025/2026 academic year. The research subjects were 25 students, consisting of 12 male students and 13 female students. This type of research is quantitative with a One Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design. The research procedure began with the administration of a pre-research questionnaire to determine the level of instrument validity, and the results of the validity test showed that there were 10 questionnaire items that met the valid criteria for use in data collection. Data analysis was carried out through a normality test using the One-Sample Shapiro-Wilk formula and a hypothesis test using the Paired Sample T-Test formula. The results of the analysis showed a significance value <0.000 with a probability <0.05, so it can be concluded that the research hypothesis is proven, namely there is a significant effect of the implementation of the Javanese culture-based PjBL model on improving the communication skills of fourth-grade students. These findings confirm that project-based learning linked to local cultural contexts not only improves communication skills but also helps students better understand and appreciate their local cultural values. Thus, cultural integration in the PjBL model is an effective strategy for improving the quality of learning, both academically and strengthening students' cultural identities.

Abstract

This study aims to identify various inhibiting factors and the steps that have been taken, as well as to analyze the implementation of P5 dimensions of global diversity in developing character education for love of country for grade IV students at SD Negeri Jirapan 3 Sragen. This study was conducted at SD Negeri Jirapan 3 Sragen using a qualitative descriptive approach. The data used consisted of primary and secondary data, obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation conducted by the researcher together with the principal, teachers, and grade IV students. The subjects in this study included the principal, teachers, and grade IV students, with a sample size of three people. Data collection techniques were carried out through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation as supporting data. To ensure the validity of the data, the researcher implemented strategies such as increasing perseverance in the research process, triangulation of techniques and data sources, and utilization of reference materials. The data analysis process was carried out through several stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. According to the findings of the analysis that the researcher has conducted, it shows that SD Negeri Jirapan 3 Sragen has implemented P5 dimensions of global diversity in developing character education of love for the homeland of grade IV students well. This is reflected through learning, self-development in students, and habituation activities at school such as religious activities, scouts, extracurricular karawitan, and school activities in commemorating national holidays, as well as projects for making handicrafts and regional specialties that have been running well. The existing inhibiting factors have been successfully overcome through various efforts that have been carried out well.

Abstract

Character education plays an important role in shaping a generation that is not only intellectually smart but also empathetic and caring toward others. One of the core values that should be instilled early on is social care. This study aims to describe the implementation strategies, behavioral indicators, and forms of value integration of social care character education in IPAS learning on the topic “This Is My Place of Residence” in Grade IV of SD Negeri Ngemplak Surakarta for the 2024/2025 academic year. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results show that the implementation of social care values is carried out through routine activities such as greetings and donations, spontaneous actions like giving praise or reprimands, teacher role modeling, and a school environment that fosters caring behavior. Indicators of students’ social care are reflected in their habits of sharing food, helping peers, and respecting school staff. Social care values are integrated into IPAS learning using a contextual approach that links the content to students' surrounding environment. In conclusion, the implementation strategies of social care character education are quite effective in fostering students’ caring attitudes, and IPAS learning serves as a relevant and contextual medium to internalize these values.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan dan keefektifan dari media pembelajaran berbasis website Google Sites pada pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) materi siklus air untuk peserta didik kelas 5 di SDIST Ibnu Qoyyim Surakarta. Metode yang digunakan yaitu penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan model Borg and Gall yang telah dimodifikasi oleh Sukmadinata dan kawan-kawan menjadi 3 tahapan utama yaitu studi pendahuluan, pengembangan, dan pengujian produk. Media pembelajaran diuji menggunakan Black Box Testing untuk memastikan fungsi dan interaktivitas setiap fitur berjalan sesuai yang diharapkan dan Expert Judgement untuk menguji kelayakan media pembelajaran melalui validasi oleh para ahli. Pengujian utama dilakukan terhadap peserta didik untuk mengetahui keefektifan media pembelajaran. Subjek penelitian melibatkan ahli materi, ahli media, pendidik, serta peserta didik kelas 5 SDIST Ibnu Qoyyim Surakarta. Hasil validasi menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan media pembelajaran oleh ahli materi mendapat persentase 90% dengan kategori sangat layak, validasi oleh ahli media mendapat persentase 81,1% dengan kategori sangat layak, dan validasi oleh pendidik mendapat persentase 91,8% dengan kategori sangat layak. Pengujian media pembelajaran kepada peserta didik mendapat respon positif dengan persentase penilaian mendapat hasil 92,3% dengan setiap aspek dikategorikan sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, media pembelajaran berbasis website Google Sites yang telah dirancang dinyatakan layak dan efektif digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran IPAS di Sekolah Dasar.
