Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the influence of self-efficacy, family environment, and entrepreneurial knowledge towards the entrepreneurial interest of vocational school students in Sidoarjo. The population in this study are class XI student of SMK in Sidoarjo, Business and Management group 2014-2015. The sampling technique using proportional sampling technique. The sample consisted of 250 students. Methods of analysis using multiple linear regression. Results of the data shows that self-efficacy has partial positive significant effect on the interest in entrepreneurship of vocational school students in Sidoarjo. While the family environment has partial positive significant effect on entrepreneurial interest for vocational school students in Sidoarjo. Then entrepreneurial knowledge has partially positive significant effect on the interest in entrepreneurship vocational school students in Sidoarjo. Results of the data analysis shows that simultaneously self-efficacy, entrepreneurial knowledge, and family environment have a positive significant effect on the interest in entrepreneurship of vocational school students in Sidoarjo

Abstract

Implement good governance in Higher Education, the government established a Public Service Agency with the aim of improving the quality of higher education services. The purpose of this study was to determine the meaning of good corporate governance, the application of the management patterns of good corporate governance in universities and the obstacles faced by good corporate governance in universities. This research is a qualitative research which is literature study. The results of the study reveal that good corporate governance has the meaning of a good governance system, especially important in universities based on the principles of good governance in universities, such as the principle of accountability which is manifested in positive and negative independence without pressure from any party, as well as the principle of equality and fairness to stakeholders. Apart from this, there are internal problems, one of which is due to the inadequate duties and functions of special institutions dealing with development. Meanwhile, external problems occur due to the rapid development of science and technology that does not yet fulfill sufficient capacity to implement good governance in the management of education in Indonesia

Abstract

Training Objectives in Community Service is to (1) provide teachers understanding about TOD; (2) provide mentoring of Classroom Action Research proposal formulation; (3) provide teacher assistance on study of Classroom Action Research proposal made by teacher. Subject in this Community Service is SMP teacher who are incorporated in the Economic Teacher in Surabaya. The object of this Community Service is training preparation of Classroom Action Research proposal. Community Service implementation method is broadly divided into 2 activities, namely training of Classroom Action Research proposal preparation with varied lecture method and Practice preparation of Classroom Action Research proposal with simulation and presentation method. The results obtained in Community Service are quite effective (1) participants have enthusiasm in listening to material explanation as much as 92%; (2) Participants who attended Classroom Action Research Proposal Writing Training from start to end of training as much as 98%; (3) Participants who are able to Practice Classroom Action Research Proposal Writing in accordance with the available time of 85%; (4) Participants who have interest in doing Classroom Action Research when in school as much as 100%.

Abstract

This Community Service provides a solution to the above problems, namely by improving nutrition to the community through the provision of basic food ingredients to people affected by COVID-19. The expected benefits of this Community Service are helping the economy, especially to meet the needs of its staples, and the welfare of people affected by COVID-19 in Cemandi Village, Sedati District, Sidoarjo Regency. The method applied is to provide direct food assistance to people affected by COVID-19. The results of the implementation of Community Service in the form of documentation and citizen responses to basic food assistance, among others. The implementation of community service as an effort to increase food security through the provision of basic necessities for the people affected by Covid 19 which was carried out to the residents of Cemandi village, Sidoarjo Regency received a positive response by providing basic necessities from the Community Service team and feeling that it was sufficient for their family's food needs in the next few days and had already right on target because residents desperately need basic food assistance due to decreased income and unable to fulfill their family's nutrition.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze the implementation of siri cultural values—sipakatau (humanizing and respecting), sipakalebbi (appreciating and praising), and sipakainge (reminding one another)—in the rector’s leadership to improve learning interaction in higher education. Method: Using a qualitative approach and case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation at Puangrimaggalatung University. Results: The findings reveal that the rector applies the values of siri synergistically: sipakatau fosters mutual respect among all academic elements, sipakalebbi builds a culture of appreciation, and sipakainge strengthens accountability through constructive feedback. These values contribute to a more harmonious, ethical, and inclusive academic environment. Novelty: The novelty of this research lies in the integration of indigenous siri cultural values into modern higher education leadership practices, offering a contextual model of value-based leadership rooted in local wisdom.

Abstract

Objective: The rector's leadership in higher education in carrying out learning has not appeared as honest, brave, firm, fair, and truthful, being trapped in short-term interests and pragmatism. This deviates from the noble values of past leadership. The purpose of this study was to describe and analyse the application of siri culture as a sense of shame, self-esteem, and honour through the values of lempu (honesty), macca (intelligence), warani (courage), adele (justice), and getteng (firmness) in the leadership of the rector of Puangrimaggalatung University in the implementation of learning. Method: This qualitative research employed a case study design using thematic analysis. Results: The findings revealed that in the value of lempu, the rector’s actions aligned with his words, showing apologetic and forgiving attitudes and maintaining trust. In the value of macca, the rector demonstrated high initiative, careful and earnest work, and good emotional stability. Regarding warani, the rector was ready to receive both good news and criticism and acted decisively. In adele, the rector exhibited fairness and balance in speech and actions. Lastly, in getteng, firmness was shown through steadfast beliefs, unwavering decisions, sincerity, honesty, and strong camaraderie. Novelty: These values synergistically contribute to effective leadership. This study contributes to the development of leadership in higher education, value-based leadership, and national character building.

Abstract

The study was aimed to know information regarding the influence of parent socio-economic status and use of social media on student consumptive behaviour in State Junior High School 1 Sidoarjo. Research had been conducted on October 19th, 2019 at the nine grade class in State Junior High School 1 Sidoarjo. Respondents were asked to fill out a questionnaire which contains the socioeconomic status of parents, the use of social media and its influence on the consumption behavior of students. Based on the existing problems, this study was undertaken using quantitative research methods, because the data used based on the numbers then processed and analyzed using appropriate statistical models and using SPSS version 24. Researchers concluded the consideration described above, the initial phase for sampling using proportional random sampling technique. Total sample size in this study that as many as 40 students. Researcher used multiple linear regression analysis to determine the influence of socio-economic status of parents and the use of social media on consumptive behavior of students in the state junior high school 1 in Sidoarjo. The result of multiple linear regression analysis is β coefficient value on the socioeconomic status of parents at 0.930, indicating that any increase in the parent socio-economic status variable, then it will increase student consumptive behavior amounted to 0.930 and then β coefficient value on the use of social media at 0,438, indicating that any increase in the use of social media variable, then it will increase student consumptive behavior amounted to 0,438. In this partial effect, Parent Socio-Economic Status variable has a value of tcount 2.927 > ttable 2,021 and significance 0.006 < 0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha accepted, which means partial socio-economic status of parents variable significantly influence consumer behaviour variables SMPN 1 Sidoarjo. The Uses of Social Media variable has a value of tcount 2,083 > ttable 2,021 and significance 0.044 < 0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha accepted, which means in partial use of social media significantly influence student consumptive behaviour variables.

Abstract

This study uses qualitative research, with the type of multi-case study research. The main data source in this study was obtained by snowball sampling. Data collection techniques in this study used three techniques, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. The locations used as research sites were State Elementary School Babatan I and State Elementary School Wiyung, which are partnering with USAID Prioritas. State Elementary School Babatan I before partnering with USAID was accredited B, but after partnering with USAID accredited A in 2016. State Elementary School Wiyung was able to maintain its accreditation after partnering with USAID. The conclusion of this study states that improving the quality of education in State Elementary School Babatan I and State Elementary School Wiyung has been reached. This can be seen from the acceleration of changes in both physical development, and human resources, especially teachers and students both in quantity and quality.
