Abstract

Flower cabbage is a vegetable crop that is widely consumed by the people of Indonesia. For growth, it can be helped by providing egg shells that are environmentally friendly when compared with chemical fertilizers. This study used a Randomized Block Design with five doses of eggshell treatment (0,6,12,18,24 grams / plant) with five replications each. The results of the research are: The application of eggshell fertilizer which has a significant influence on the number of leaves aged 35 dd, and on the flower weight per plant. And the dose of eggshell fertilizer that gives the best treatment E (2.0 g / plant) with a yield of 301.53 g / plant.

Abstract

Salah satu penyebab menurunnya produksi ubi kayu adalah belum tepatnya teknologi yang digunakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi air kelapa muda dan varietas yang terbaik untuk pertumbuhan tunas stek batang ubi kayu (Manihot esculenta Crantz). Percobaan dilakukan pada bulan Juli hingga Oktober 2020 di Lahan, Telagasari, Karawang, Jawa Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial dengan 10 perlakuan dan diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Perlakuan yang digunakan yaitu {(Air kelapa muda 0% + Gajah), (Air kelapa muda 25% +Gajah), (Air kelapa muda 50% + Gajah), (Air kelapa muda 75% +Gajah), (Air kelapa muda 100% +Gajah), (Air kelapa muda 0% +Karet), (Air kelapa muda 25% +Karet), (Air kelapa muda 50% +Karet), (Air kelapa muda 75% + Karet), (Air kelapa muda 100% + Karet)}. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terjadi interaksi antara pemberian konsentrasi air kelapa muda dan varietas terhadap semua variabel yang diamati. Terdapat pengaruh mandiri varietas ubi kayu terhadap waktu muncul tunas, panjang tunas, tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, panjang akar terpanjang dan bobot basah akar. Terdapat pengaruh mandiri konsentrasi air kelapa muda terhadap diameter tunas dan jumlah daun. Varietas Gajah (v1) memberikan nilai tertinggi pada waktu muncul tunas (11,78 hari), panjang tunas (40,90 cm), tinggi tanaman (49,53 cm), jumlah daun (26,03 helai), panjang akar (29,99 cm) dan bobot basah akar (21,56 gram). Konsentrasi air kelapa muda 25% (v1) memberikan nilai tertinggi pada diameter tunas sebesar 7,43 mm. Konsentrasi air kelapa muda 75% (k3) memberikan nilai tertinggi pada jumlah daun sebesar 21,25 helai. Kata Kunci : Stek Ubi Kayu; Air Kelapa Muda; Gajah (Danar ristono); Karet (Manihot glasiovii)

Abstract

Karawang is a rice center in West Java and National, rice straw potentially used as a media for merang mushroom to grow. In research, tofu pulp planting media was carried out and tested the productivity of the merang mushroom F3 seedlings from Cilamaya. The purpose of the research to obtain the composition of the tofu pulp growing media which gave the highest result towards merang mushroom growth. The research was conducted in Plant Biotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Singaperbangsa Karawang University and in Kumbung (Mushroom House), Pasirmulya Village, Majalaya, Karawang. The method that is used was experimental, single factor randomized block design (RBD) of 6 treatments in 4 replications, the treatments were: A (Control + Straw 100%), B (Tofu pulp 5% + straw 95%), C (Tofu plus 15% + straw 85%), D ( tofu pulp  25% + straw 75%), E (tofu pulp 35% + straw 65%) and F (tofu pulp 45% + straw 55%). The results showed that treatment C (15% tofu pulp + 85% straw) has the best value, there is a significant effect on the parameters of fruit body length of 6,98 cm, fruit body diameter with a value of 18,22 mm, number of fruit bodies with a value of 5,80, fruit body weight 10,05 g.

Abstract

Onion production must always be increased. Liquid organic fertilizers affect the growth and development of soil microbes and the nutrients contained in POC will be absorbed more quickly by plants. Guano or swallow droppings originating from the swallow cultivator building are currently not widely used and further processed, even though the waste can be used as fertilizer that can fertilize plants. This study aims to obtain the POC dose of swallow droppings that provide the highest growth effectiveness and yield in shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) plants.The research method used was a single factor Randomized Block Design (RBD), namely the dose of POC with 7 treatments that were repeated 4 times, namely treatment A (Without NPK and POC (control (-)), B (NPK 600 kg / ha (control (+)), C (POC 3 l / ha + NPK 300 kg / ha), D (POC 6 l / ha + NPK 300 kg / ha), E (POC 9 l / ha + NPK 300 kg / ha), F (POC 12 lt / ha + NPK 300 kg / ha), G (POC 15 l / ha + NPK 300 kg / ha). Data were analyzed using variance (ANOVA) and DMRT at the 5% level. Based on the results of the study, the dosage of swallow droppings POC did not have a significant effect on all components of growth and yield. This shows that POC made from swallow droppings has not been able to increase the growth and production of shallot plants.

Abstract

Long bean production in Indonesia continues to decline every year, this is due to land conversion and the lack of application of agricultural technology. One of the efforts to increase long bean production is by multiplying quality seeds using organic materials as nutrients needed by plants. This study aims to determine the response of the growth and production of long bean seeds to the interaction of strains, varieties with a concentration of liquid organic fertilizer. The research was conducted at the Vegetable Crops Research Institute, Lembang, West Bandung Regency from July 2020 to January 2021. The research method used was an experimental method with a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with a split-plot design consisting of 2 factors: the first factor (main plot) (A) was the variety and strain with 2 levels, a1 (Tavi canton variety) and a2 (pras-1 strain).The second factor (subplot) (B) is concentration of biopras-1 with 5 levels, b1 (0 cc/l-1 water), b2 (1 cc/l-1 water), b3 (2 cc/l-1 water), b4 (3 cc/l-1 water) and b5 (4 cc/l-1 water). The effect of the treatment was analyzed by means of variance and if the f test at 5% level was significantly different, then to find out the best treatment was continued with the DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) at the 5% level. The results showed that there was an interaction between varieties, lines with various concentrations of biopras-1 liquid organic fertilizer on dry seed weight per plant, dry seed weight per plot, and 1000 seeds weight. Treatment of pras-1 lines with the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer biopras-1 4 cc / l of water was able to give the best results on dry seed weight per plant (35.31 gr), dry seed weight per plot (1.298.20 gr or 2.16 Ton/ha-1) and the weight of 1000 seeds (153.10 gr).

Abstract

Budidaya bawang merah memiliki beberapa masalah utama yang dirasakan oleh petani diantaranya yaitu produktivitas bawang merah yang cukup rendah, hal tersebut menyebabkan hasil bawang merah yang sangat rendah dan mahal sehingga cukup sulit untuk diekspor ke luar negeri. Salah satu metode yang digunakan dalam meningkatkan produktivitas pada tanaman bawang merah adalah dengan adanya pemberian zat pengatur tumbuh (ZPT). Tujuan penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu untuk mendapatkan konsentrasi BAP (Benzyl Amino Purine) terhadap karakter morfologi pada setiap varietas lokal bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L.) di Kabupaten Karawang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan didalam Screen House Lahan baru Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang yang terletak di Desa Pasirjengkol, Kecamatan Majalaya, Kabupaten Karawang. Percobaan dilaksanakan selama satu musim tanam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial yang terdiri dari dua faktor yaitu varietas (Bima, Sumenep dan Dayak) kemudian dosis pemberian ZPT BAP (0 ppm, 25 ppm, 50 ppm dan 70 ppm) dengan tiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali, sehingga dihasilkan 36 satuan percobaan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis uji F dan uji lanjut dengan DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) pada taraf 5 %. Hasil dari percobaan ini menunjukkan tidak terdapat interaksi terhadap penggunaan berbagai konsentrasi BAP (Benzyl Amino Purine) dan varietas terhadap hasil rerata tinggi tanaman dan diameter umbi bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L). Perlakuan dengan konsentrasi 25 ppm memberikan hasil terbaik pada setiap parameter pengamatan. Namun terdapat perlakuan berbeda nyata terhadap faktor mandiri varietas Bima Brebes dan Sumenep pada semua parameter.

Abstract

Limited land and increasing awareness of healthy lifestyles encourage the application of efficient cultivation methods such as microgreens, which are young shoots of vegetables that are rich in nutrients and are harvested in 7–21 days. This study aims to examine the influence of the type of LED lamp on the growth of several microgreens of the Brassicaceae family. The research was carried out using a split plot Group Random Design (RAK). The main tile factor is LED light (6 levels: inner control, outdoor control, blue LED, red LED, red-blue LED, and white LED), while the subplot consists of three types of microgreens (cabbage, turnips, and broccoli), with two replicas (36 experimental units). The data was analyzed using a 5% variety analysis, followed by the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) if there were any real differences. The results showed that there was no interaction between LED lights and plant types on plant height at 4, 7, and 10 days after planting (dap), rate of increase in number of leaves, and relative growth rate. Separately, red LEDs produce the highest plants, blue LEDs increase the number of leaves, and sunlight provides the highest LPR. Horseradish plants show the best growth compared to broccoli and flower cabbage.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan sabut kelapa habis pakai sebagai media tanam alternatif untuk jamur merang (Volvariella volvacea). Sabut kelapa, yang mengandung lignoselulosa, dapat menjadi alternatif yang baik untuk budidaya jamur merang. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Pasirmulya, Majalaya, Karawang, pada Juli hingga Agustus 2022, menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan lima perlakuan dan lima ulangan, menghasilkan 25 unit percobaan. Perlakuan terdiri dari kombinasi sabut kelapa habis pakai dan sabut kelapa baru: P1 (25% habis pakai : 75% baru), P2 (50% : 50%), P3 (75% habis pakai : 25% baru), P4 (100% baru), dan P5 (100% habis pakai). Parameter yang diamati meliputi waktu munculnya pinhead, panjang dan diameter tubuh buah, jumlah tubuh buah, bobot segar, dan intensitas panen. Data dianalisis dengan uji F pada taraf 5%, dilanjutkan dengan Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) jika signifikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan P2 (50% sabut kelapa habis pakai + 50% sabut kelapa baru) menghasilkan bobot tubuh buah tertinggi, 14,59 g, dan intensitas panen tertinggi, 16,20 kali. Perlakuan lainnya menunjukkan hasil seragam pada panjang dan diameter tubuh buah serta jumlah tubuh buah. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa sabut kelapa habis pakai dapat digunakan sebagai media tanam alternatif yang efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil jamur merang.

Abstract

The main issues faced in current cultivation practices are the reduction of available land and the decline in production. One solution is to shift from conventional farming to non-conventional or urban farming systems, such as hydroponic wick systems and aeroponics. The success of hydroponic and aeroponic cultivation is strongly influenced by the plant’s ability to absorb nutrients, particularly the acidity level (pH) of the nutrient solution. This study aims to determine the best combination of non-conventional cultivation systems and acidic pH stress of nutrient solutions on the growth and yield of cauliflower (Brassica oleracea L. var. Botrytis) cultivar Larissa F1. The experiment used a single-factor Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of six treatments and four replications: hydroponic wick system + pH 4–5, pH 5–6, pH 6–7, and aeroponics + pH 4–5, pH 5–6, and pH 6–7. Data were analyzed using F-test and Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a 5% significance level. The results showed that the combination of cultivation systems and acidic pH significantly affected plant height at 56 DAT, number of leaves at 42 DAT, leaf area, root length, fresh weight, curd diameter, curd height, curd weight, and trimmed curd weight. The best treatment was the wick system with pH 6–7, producing a curd height of 13.6 cm, plant fresh weight of 585.5 g, curd weight of 291.8 g, and trimmed curd weight of 277.6 g.

Abstract

Cauliflower production in Indonesia decreased by 38.79% from 2021 to 2022, partly due to Shrinking agricultural land. Non-conventional cultivation methods, such as wick hydroponics and aeroponics, offer alternative solutions to traditional farming. In addition, one key factor affecting cauliflower yield is abiotic stress, particularly high pH levels in nutrient solutions. This study aims to examine the effect of combining non-conventional growing systems with alkaline pH stress on the growth and yield of cauliflower (Brassica oleracea L. var. botrytis) cultivar Larissa F1 This research used an experimental approach with a single factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with six treatments, each replicated four times, resulting in 24 experimental units and a total of 72 plants. The treatments included wick hydroponics and aeroponics under three pH ranges: 6–7, 7–8, and 8–9. Data were analyzed using ANOVA and further tested with Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a 5% significance level. Results showed that wick hydroponics with pH 8–9 produced the highest average leaf count at 14 days after planting (7.5 leaves). Aeroponics with pH 6–7 yielded the highest average leaf count at 42 days after planting (13.8 leaves), and also achieved the greatest average curd height and root length (10 cm and 62.5 cm, respectively), although these were not significantly different from other treatments.
