Abstract

This study aims to examine the key factors influencing the continuance use intention of QR code-based payment systems (QRIS) among Generation X consumers in Indonesia, addressing the need for sustainable digital payment adoption. By extending the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Expectation-Confirmation Theory (ECT), the research explores how perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, trust, and satisfaction affect continued engagement with QRIS. A quantitative approach was employed, with data collected from 217 respondents who have used QRIS within the past three months. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to assess the relationships among the constructs, utilizing bootstrapping to determine the significance of the path coefficients. The analysis revealed that perceived ease of use significantly influences both perceived usefulness and user satisfaction, which in turn positively impacts trust. Interestingly, while trust was a significant predictor of continuance intention, satisfaction and perceived usefulness did not directly lead to continued usage, challenging traditional assumptions in the literature. This highlights the complex interplay of factors that drive continued engagement with QRIS. This research contributes to the digital payment literature by integrating perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, trust, and satisfaction into a comprehensive model of continuance intention. It offers both theoretical insights and practical guidance for stakeholders in the rapidly evolving digital payment industry, particularly within the context of QRIS adoption, especially among Generation X in Indonesia.

Abstract

Sustaining the ongoing use of digital payment systems is a key challenge in financial innovation. This research tackles the problem by examining the factors that influence the continuance intention of the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS), expanding the Technology Continuance Theory (TCT) through the inclusion of trust and habit as mediating factors. Employing a quantitative methodology with a non-probability purposive sampling technique, data were collected from 938 active QRIS users and analyzed using PLS-SEM. The results demonstrate that confirmation, perceived ease of use, and satisfaction significantly cultivate trust and habit. These constructs, in turn, function as essential mediators, with habits being the principal predictor of users' continuance intention. Notably, perceived usefulness and price benefits did not exhibit a strong direct effect. This study offers two main implications. From a theoretical perspective, it enhances post-adoption models by emphasizing the significant mediating effects of trust and habit. From a practical standpoint, it recommends that providers prioritize cultivating user trust and encouraging habitual use to support long-term adoption, rather than depending solely on functional features.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought a new life order which is commonly known as a health protocol implementation. Efforts to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic can be made physically or spiritually. Physical efforts are carried out by applying health protocols in a disciplined manner, while spiritual efforts are carried out by increasing the quality of worship of God. These two efforts must be combined with maintaining the quality of worship in health protocols. In this case, the quality of worship can be improved by deepening the understanding and application of Arabic tajwid and grammar in reciting verse and prayer recitations. In addition, it is necessary to practice morning and evening prayers as self-protection and maintain mental stability. To achieve this goal, this team carried out a community service by compiling two pocketbooks. The first one is related to the application of health protocols in daily worship and another pocketbook containing tajwid material and morning prayer, which was equipped with exposure and training on recitation and reading the morning prayer and evening prayers. These exposures are presented in outreach videos and tutorials. The result shows that people are increasingly aware of implementing health protocols in their daily activities, especially in Islamic worship. In addition, the community's mentality has become more robust, and people have become calmer in living their lives during the pandemic since some people have practiced morning and evening prayers. In addition, they also apply tajwid and Arabic grammar in a better way so that their worship activities become much more solemn.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries that has a fairly high seismic condition. This is because Indonesia is passed by the Pacific Ring of Fire, which brings together many world plates, so it is natural that many earthquakes occur in Indonesia. With a fairly high seismic condition, there is a need for vigilance and actions taken to overcome the situation. The infrastructure sector becomes an important spotlight when an earthquake occurs because casualties are often caused by structural failures that are not strong enough to withstand the earthquake load. This is similar to what happened in the earthquake in Cianjur in 2022, which claimed many lives due to the numerous structural failures in permanent residences. Therefore, this research was conducted to evaluate the permanent residences of the community related to the vulnerability that occurred due to the earthquake. Building vulnerability testing is carried out using the Incremental Dynamic Analysis (IDA) method with data from 11 earthquake records. Later, the building’s response to the earthquake load will be obtained, and the probability of damage seen from the vulnerability curve will be known. The five performance levels of the building are Operational Phase (OP), Immediate Occupancy (IO), Damage Control (DC), Life Safety (LS), and Collapse Prevention (CP).

Abstract

This study integrates viewpoints from Vandana Shiva and Maria Mies to investigate Nubian women's responsibilities as agents of cultural, ecological, and linguistic sustainability within an ecofeminist framework. Three interconnected aspects are the subject of the study: their contributions to language preservation, ecological management, and cultural traditions. This study synthesizes knowledge from academic sources on Nubian women's adaptive tactics in the face of socio-ecological disturbances, including the relocation caused by the Aswan High Dam, through a qualitative literature review and thematic analysis. According to the research, Nubian women preserve intangible cultural heritage by striking a balance between modernity and customs like storytelling, rituals, and crafting. Their ecological roles, which include resource management, the use of natural materials, and sustainable agriculture techniques, show how important they are to preserving environmental equilibrium. Linguistically, Nubian women preserve their language through folklore, songs, and everyday communication, ensuring intergenerational transmission of cultural identity. This research underscores the interconnectedness of gender, culture, and ecology, providing a model for cultural resilience and sustainability in marginalized communities globally. The implications extend to broader discussions on sustainable development, gender studies, and strategies for integrating localized resilience into global challenges.

Abstract

This study explores the customs and local traditions of the Nubian tribe in Egypt that have endured despite the pressures of modernization and globalization. The research addresses two key questions: the functions of the Nubian tribe’s customs and traditions that remain preserved today and the relationships between the various elements of Nubian customs. This study applies Bronislaw Malinowski’s functionalism theory, which asserts that each cultural element functions to fulfill human physiological and psychological needs. Additionally, Talcott Parsons’ Social System theory is used to understand how Nubian customs function as an integrated system in which roles and norms establish social order within the community. The findings reveal that enduring Nubian traditions include pregnancy rituals, traditional healing, the prohibition of women riding donkeys, marriage customs, pregnancy invocation rituals, death rites, and crocodile keeping. The holistic relationship among cultural elements is evident in the use of the Nubian language in rituals, oral traditions, and intergenerational communication, which serves to protect Nubian cultural identity from external cultural influences.
